Every time the BLS puts out their monthly propaganda report on the wonderful state of the U.S. jobs market and states with a straight face the unemployment rate is a measly 5.5%, their corporate mouthpieces in the mainstream cheerleader media regurgitate the fake numbers and urge you to buy stocks. The millionaire talking heads on CNBC and the corrupt bought off politicians in D.C. make broad sweeping declarations about economic recovery, strong job growth, GDP advancement, record highs in the stock market, and soaring consumer confidence.
The people living in the real world know otherwise, but they want to believe the “experts” and “leaders”. This dichotomy between reality and what they are being told is causing a tremendous amount of mental stress. This cognitive dissonance of attempting to reconcile what they are experiencing in their every day existence and the propaganda being peddled at them on a daily basis from big media, big bankers, corporate titans, and captured politicians pulling the strings and running the show, is causing psychological discomfort. Most people want their lives to get better, so to reduce their cognitive dissonance they choose to believe the government and media reports about economic improvement.
It is only a small minority who want to know the unvarnished truth. They are drawn to alternative media websites, which the the captured corporate media refers to as doom sites. These critical thinking individuals understand the facts. The Deep State propaganda has no impact on these people because they have no cognitive dissonance. They know things are far worse than what is reported by the government and their media whores. Knowing the truth and seeing how the majority remain willfully ignorant results in rising anger among truth seekers. Huxley was right.
When the BLS reports their monthly unemployment BS showing a 5.5% unemployment rate and Obama holds a press conference to pat himself on the back for the 10 million jobs he has created since 2009, the critical thinking truth seekers focus on the big lies in the numbers. The 10 million jobs added has been surpassed by the 13 million people who supposedly willingly left the workforce. The 148 million employed Americans is only 2 million more than were employed in 2008, but the government wants you to believe the unemployment rate is the same as it was in 2008 despite the fact the working age population has grown by 16 million people.
The truth is the labor participation rate has fallen dramatically since 2008 and now sits at a 38 year low of 62.7%. The rate consistently remained between 66% and 67% from 1988 through 2008. There are 250 million working age Americans and only 148 million Americans working and the powers that be expect you to believe only 8.5 million of the 102 million non-working Americans are actually unemployed. When the critical thinking doom websites point out the record low participation rate, the immediate response from the Wall Street propaganda machine is Baby Boomers retiring. Their co-conspirators in misdirection and misinformation in the media unquestioningly perpetuate this lie without an iota of journalistic credibility.
The Boomer retirement meme is obliterated by the data in the chart below. The labor force participation rate of those over 65 is at an all-time high and has grown by over 50% since 2000. Those in their prime working years between 25 and 64 have seen their labor force participation rate decline since 2000. The labor force participation rate decline has absolutely nothing to do with Boomers retiring. It is solely driven by younger workers unable or unwilling to work. The truthful labor participation rate should be 66%. That would force the BLS to admit at least another 9 million Americans are unemployed, pushing the unemployment rate to at least 10.7%.
The blatant perpetuation of the big lie began in earnest after the 2008 Wall Street created financial crisis. The number of jobs for those 54 years old and younger is still 1.2 million below 2007, while the number of jobs for those 55 and older is up by 6 million. Those over 55 working today stands at 33.1 million, an all-time high. This figure has doubled since 2000. The Boomer dream of a long luxurious retirement, living off their interest income, lying on a beach and drinking pina coladas has devolved into being forced to work as Wal-Mart greeters and McDonalds counter help until they die. Retirement isn’t an option after two Federal Reserve created bubbles burst, six years of zero interest rates, and three simultaneous bubbles on the verge of bursting.
There is a reason retail sales continue to stagnate. There is a reason credit card debt continues to decline. There is a reason you don’t hear your friends, family or neighbors talk about the improving economy. If you don’t hob nob with the ruling elite at Manhattan cocktail parties or summer at the Hamptons, you know the truth. Your real wages are lower than they were in 1989. The expenses you incur to live your everyday life like food, rent, transportation, health insurance, and tuition are rising at 5% to 10%, not the 1.7% reported by your government keepers. You own little or no financial stocks, so the record stock market highs have no impact on your financial well being. You may have money in a savings account, money market or CDs. Eight years ago you could earn 5%. Today you earn .15%, thanks to Bernanke, Yellen and their Federal Reserve cohorts. But at least you still get to pay the Wall Street banks 15% on your credit card balance.
The only way to relieve the tremendous mental stress caused by the conflict between what you know you are experiencing in your everyday life and what you are being told by bankers, politicians, government apparatchiks, and the corporate media, is to accept the truth and free yourself from the tyranny of the Deep State.
Propaganda is a powerful tool in the hands of rich powerful psychopathic men bent on accumulating wealth, power and control over the bourgeois. Secrecy, censorship, data manipulation, and media messaging to mislead have worked for decades. Very little in the way of coercive techniques have been required, as the Bernays method of conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses has worked wonderfully to hoodwink and bamboozle the average person.
The mood of society in general continues to darken. War drums are beating around the globe. The imperial American Empire is fraying at the edges and using military force, intrigue, surveillance, and secrecy in an attempt to retain its power domestically and internationally. The truth is being suppressed, but the internet and proliferation of websites revealing the lies of those in power is slowly opening the eyes of more and more people whose cognitive dissonance has caused them too much discomfort. The Deep State is worried. Their wealth, power and control are in danger. The attempts to control the internet, the un-Constitutional surveillance of citizens, and the militarization of police forces across the land are a futile attempt to control us. I wrote some time ago on how John Kerry went to Latin America and declared the Monroe Doctrine dead. Obama just finalized it in Cuba. The Monroe Doctrine has been in place since 1823 and has long warned America’s enemies to not even THINK about using South America as a back door to bring Communism and aggression to our doorstep. Well, Obama has thrown that proverbial door wide open to South America and has invited in every enemy we have. Hell, he’s thrown our door at the borders open inviting them into the US as well. He wants America at war and brought to her knees and he’s really going for it now.
As Doug Ross pointed out, the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962 brought us to the very brink of nuclear war. The Monroe Doctrine stopped that apocalyptic nightmare from becoming a reality. Kennedy “cited the Monroe Doctrine as a basis for America’s ‘eyeball-to-eyeball’ confrontation with the Soviet Union that had embarked on a campaign to install ballistic missiles on Cuban soil.” That was before the Democrats went full blown Marxist and decided to destroy America from within her own shores. Obama has now stated for the world that the US will no longer act to resist overseas influence in the Western Hemisphere.
During the seventh Summit of the Americas, our enemies took turns swinging at American foreign policy. From 19th century territorial raids on Mexico to US support for the overthrow of Chile’s socialist government in 1973 and the 1989 invasion of Panama that removed Gen. Manuel Noriega, Washington’s interventions in Latin America were targets of rebuke during long speeches by Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his allies. Obama quipped, “I always enjoy the history lessons that I receive when I’m here.” I’ll bet he does. He’s also meeting with Maduro and cuddling with him while he’s there. Dictators of a feather. Next, it will be Obama’s ongoing bromance with Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa, who is a hardline Leftist and a long time ally of South American socialists Hugo Chávez and Evo Morales. Last week Correa tweeted “¡Heil Hitler!” in response to a Twitter user posting an article reporting that ex-Ecuadorian President Osvaldo Hurtado had called him a “fascist” for his repeated crackdowns on journalists. I’m sure Obama can relate. Remember, no matter the propagandic rhetoric from Correa on Obama being an “afro American,” Obama held hands with the Ecuadorian president to bring in as many illegal immigrants as he could and the two were aligned on common agendas. Things are never what they appear.
Obama, who spoke Friday during a “civil society” forum in Panama City, Panama, disparaged past efforts by the United States to forestall the spread of Communism in Latin America and suggested similar missions would no longer be undertaken.
“The days in which our agenda in this hemisphere so often presumed that the United States could meddle with impunity, those days are past,” Obama said.
Civil Society forum? How very George Soros… how very Progressive/Marxist. This condones Communism in our hemisphere – here on our turf, for our neighbors with our blessing. Virtually every country in South and Central America is now controlled by Communists and dictators because we decided to stay out of it. Regardless of the threat to America. Now, you’ve got Russians, Chinese and Iranians down there and I very much doubt they are on a goodwill tour. We are blatantly inviting an attack on America and Obama is welcoming it. He is not naive or clueless to the evil down there – he revels in it. He just apologized for the US’ intervention over the last 200 years – that intervention kept us safe and free, but no more.
Obama never lets a political platform go to waste and this Summit of the Americas in Panama City was no exception. President Obama expressed his anger and frustration over Iran with those “trying to short-circuit the actual negotiations,” insisting that “it needs to stop” and pointing the finger squarely at the GOP. I’m sure his aggressive sentiments were roundly approved of by all the dictators in attendance.

China has signed a contract with the Russian state-run arms exporter Rosoboronexport for the purchase of the S-400 air defense systems, the company's chief executive Anatoly Isaikin said in an interview with the Russian daily Kommersant.
"I will not disclose the details of the contract, but yes, China has indeed become the first buyer of this sophisticated Russian air defense system. It underlines once again the strategic level of our relations," Isaikin said, when asked whether it was true that Beijing signed a contract for the purchase of four S-400 divisions in September 2014.
Isaykin also said that "many countries" want to buy the S-400 systems, but added that the manufacterer, VKO Almaz-Antey, is obliged to first deliver them to the Russian Defense Ministry.
Asked whether Russian companies are afraid of cooperating with their Chinese partners, Isaikin said that he believes that if Russia works for the benefit of China, it "works for its own benefit as well."
The S-400 Triumf is a new generation anti-aircraft weapon system capable of engaging any aerial target, including aircraft, helicopters, drones, as well as cruise and tactical ballistic missiles with a maximum speed of 4,800 meters per second. Currently, there are nine Russian anti-aircraft missile regiment equipped with the S-400 systems, which were put on service in April 2007.
The Kremlin has complained that a new Nordic defence pact is “directed against Russia” and amounts to a “confrontational approach” on the Ukraine crisis.
The Russian foreign ministry issued the statement on its website on Sunday (12 April).
It said “Nordic defence co-operation … has begun to be directed against Russia in a way that could undermine the positive engagement accumulated over the past decade”.
It voiced “concern” that Finland and Sweden, which are not Nato members, are showing “increasingly strong convergence” with the alliance.
It also said that “instead of an open and constructive dialogue” on issues such as the Ukraine conflict, “the principles of confrontation are being foisted on the public opinion of the Nordic countries”.
The defence ministers of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden unveiled the agreement in an op-ed in Norwegian daily Aftenposten last Thursday.
They said they would: share information on maritime and airspace movements; take joint steps on cyber defence; conduct military drills; consider launching a new air-police mission called Northern Flag; share air bases; and explore joint military acquisitions.
“Russia’s conduct [in Ukraine] represents the gravest challenge to European security. As a consequence, we must be prepared to face possible crises or incidents”, they warned.
They said “Russia is undertaking huge economic investments in its military capability” and that its military “is acting in a challenging way along our borders”.
They added that Russia is trying to “sow discord” in the West and that their pact “strengthen[s] the cohesion of Nato and the EU, and helps to maintain transatlantic links”.
Russian jets have violated the airspace of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania hundreds of times over the past year.
Speaking to EUobserver before the Ukraine conflict, the then Swedish defence minister, Karin Enstrom, said she believes that if any Nordic state is attacked, neither Nato nor EU allies would stand aside.
"It's really difficult to think that if one [EU] country ... was affected by a catastrophe or an attack, it would not affect all the other EU countries. It would be an act of self-interest to try to stabilise the situation”, she said.
The United States warned today that China's effort to expand its territory in the South China Sea by building on disputed islands was a threat to regional stability.
A newly released set of satellite images has revealed that China is artificially expanding a reef in disputed waters, presumably to strengthen its territorial claims.
"In our view, China's land reclamation and the construction activity are fuelling greater anxiety within the region," State Department spokesman Jeff Rathke told reporters.
Rathke said Washington is concerned that China "might militarize outposts on disputed land features of the South China Sea.
Satellite images on the website of the Center for Strategic and International Studies show a flotilla of Chinese vessels dredging sand onto a feature known as Mischief Reef.
Images of other outcrops in the Spratly Islands show aircraft runways appearing from jungle, smooth-sided solid masses where there once was coral and man-made harbors replacing natural reefs.
Analysts say the pictures show how China is attempting to create "facts in the water" to bolster its territorial claim.
