In the news...

As we approach the "peace talks", slated for Sept. 2, watch the news carefully. You will notice one recurrent theme - and that theme is Jerusalem. It's a thinly veiled discussion point, but with careful observation, one will notice the frequency that Jerusalem's status is discussed. In fact, you could make the point that the peace talks will ALWAYS boil down to the status of Jerusalem.

As the prophetic scriptures in the book of Zechariah informed us - it will all come down to Jerusalem.

"Palestinians to U.S.: Israeli settlement freeze must include East Jerusalem"

The Palestinian Authority has told the U.S. administration that an Israeli commitment to continuing the freeze on settlement construction must include East Jerusalem.

During preparatory talks ahead of the summit due in Washington next week, the Palestinians made it clear they refuse to accept any softer formula on the building freeze.

The next article supports my personal theory that Iran is "baiting" Israel to attack. There would be so many benefits to Ahmadinejad if Israel were to attack, and almost every move he makes seems bent on prodding Israel to attack. Iran has been quietly shipping arms to Hamas and Hezbollah for years, but now, for whatever reasons, they are making it public. This article below is just one of many examples where very public proclamations seem intended to provoke Israel:

"Iran says it's ready to sell arms to Lebanon"

Iran is prepared to sell weapons to Lebanon if Beirut asks for help in equipping its military, Iran's defense minister said Wednesday.

Gen. Ahmad Vahidi's comments come a day after the leader of Lebanon's Shiite Hezbollah group, Sheik Hassan Nasrallah, called on the Lebanese government to formally seek military assistance from Iran.

"Lebanon is our friend," Vahidi was quoted as saying by the official IRNA news agency. "If there is a demand in this respect, we are ready to help that country and conduct weapons transactions with it."

Iran is a key supporter of Hezbollah, believed to funnel it weapons and millions of dollars in funding, though Tehran denies arming the Shiite group. Hezbollah, also closely allied to Syria, boasts a heavy arsenal of rockets capable of reaching deep inside Israel.

Below, we see further strengthening of one of the Gog-MaGog alliances. This is old news for prophecy watchers, but it is interesting to see it making the news:

"It's Official: Turkey and Iran are Friends"

Amid concerns by Western countries of the warming of ties between Turkey and Iran, both of them Moslem but non Arab countries, it appears as though relations between the two countries are becoming stabilized.

Furthermore, Iran’s Press TV news channel reported on Monday that Turkey and Iran may build two petrochemical units together. One unit, according to the report, will be in the industrial hub of Assaluyeh in southern Iran, while a second petrochemical plant that can produce 539,000 tons of petrochemical products annually would be constructed in Miyandoab in western Azerbaijan.

Turkey’s relations with Iran are worrying to western countries and in particular the US. Turkey voted against the UN sanctions in June, and at the same time relations between Turkey and Israel have been tense following the May 31 raid by IDF on the Mavi Marmara on which there were members of Turkish organization IHH. Turkey has demanded a full Israeli apology for the raid on the flotilla which left 13 dead after having taken sail from Turkey's shores.

"Obama weighs offer of US nuclear umbrella if Israel scraps Iran strike"

"Son of Hamas author reveals radical plan for U.S."

This last article is just bizarre. That Putin is one strange dude:

Allied Rapid Reaction Corps

The ‘force’ is with us! Heard about them on local t.v. news this evening. A year later than predicted, they have now taken over the old R.A.F. married quarters at Innsworth, Glos. The men are with their families and flying all the different world flags representing the various nationalities billeted there. The local school has opened during the long summer holiday to help the various foreign children settle in.

I cant explain it properly Scott; but this gave me the ‘willies’; is this the forerunner of a one world army of sorts?

Dated 2009.
http://military-genealogy.forcesreunited.org.uk/3969/Allied_Rapid_Reaction_Corps_(ARRC)

The Headquarters Allied Command Europe Rapid Reaction Corps, (HQ ARRC or ARRC) was created in 1992 in Bielefeld based on the former British I Corps (or I (BR) Corps ). It was originally created as the rapid reaction corps sized land force of the Reaction Forces Concept that emerged after the end of the Cold War, with a mission to redeploy and reinforce within Allied Command Europe (ACE) and to conduct Petersberg missions out of NATO territory.

Since 2002 however the HQ has been re-roled (with 5 other corps HQs of other NATO nations) as a High Readiness Force (Land) HQ (HRF(L)) with a broader mission. The formation HQ is under Operational Command of Supreme Allied Commander, Europe (SACEUR). The ARRC has a notional Force Pool of Combat, Combat Support and Combat Service Support units with which to train and execute its mission. However in reality COMARRC commands no forces until he receives an Activiation Order from SACEUR. On receipt of ACTORD, forces from troop contributing nations, generated through the NATO Force Generation process are passed into his Operational Command for the duration of the operational deployment.

Although the corps is commanded by a British lieutenant-general, the corps is no longer a purely British formation HQ. The UK is the ’framework nation’ and provides about 80% of the funding and 60% of the staff for the HQ, which since 1994 has been based in the Rheindahlen Military Complex, Germany. A purely national corps headquarters could be quickly reconstituted if necessary.

ARRC took command of the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan on 4th May 2006. Previously, it was deployed as the headquarters commanding Land Forces during the Kosovo War in 1999 and, prior to that, commanded the Land Forces of NATO’s first ever deployment as part of the IFOR operation in Bosnia in 1995/6. In mid-2004, rumours surfaced that contingency plans were being prepared for the ARRC to deploy to Iraq to command the foreign forces in the south of the country.

ARRC will be relocating to the former RAF Innsworth base outside Gloucester in England, in 2009.

this is my opinion only, i cant back it up with solid facts or scripture but this is what i think: psalm 83/isa 17 and ezekiel 38&39 must happen within the next 2yrs cuz when we boot obama out a republican president seems way more likely to support isreal or at least take action and that wont fit the passive senerio described in ezekiel.

I've had that same thought many times myself.....

Is this now considered an "EU Force"?
Also - is this well known? Is there anybody questioning this etc? Anything being written about this?

It would seem pretty natural as a EU force, but I didn't see that mentioned.

Pretty strange

Hello Scott

I emailed my post to Alan Freeman who has kindly responded. I had quite forgotten I had his book, so I will fish it out to see if there is anything that can be added. It does mention the EU, so there is a connection.
God bless
Sue

Alan Franklin http://thefreepressonline.co.uk/

“The Rapid Reaction Force is not new, but I have never heard it called "Allied." We had this in our EU books and articles going back about ten years. The force was 60,000 strong, rotating from a pool of 180,000 and drawn from armies across Europe. It was very airborne-based etc. Many of them were then based in an area where I edited a newspaper so I heard a lot of this. This may not be the same thing, of course. If you look up Dave Reagan's website, Lamb and Lion, linked to our website, he may still have some of my articles on about this, dating back to about 2000”.

The BBC is profoundly Liberal and has been for some time now; increasingly so as each year passes.

Hardawg

What you say about the EU and Israel.

This EU Allied Rapid Reaction Corps is about to go to Afghanistan very soon. A coalition force that may become involved in a deal with Israel perhaps – I wish I could explain better than this, it is just a gut feeling that ARRC could become the force to enforce or peaceably manage the seven year covenant with a/c?

Look out for their coming task in Afghanistan, it may give a better idea what they are being used for – I dunno – a/c special forces or a replacement for the UN perhaps????

Scott said...

Sue,
This has been my feeling for ages - that is, that the EU will send in peacekeeping troops into Israel in order to keep the peace (aka "confirm" the covenant).

Well a/c will need a quick back up from somewhere, so it could be the already active ARRC made up from EU member’s armies AND ‘partner’ nations.

Apparently they were previously stationed in Germany – they arrived in Gloucester by bike – typical!

http://www.arrc.nato.int/

Under the direct command of Supreme Allied Command Europe (SACEUR), HQ ARRC is at a permanent state of readiness to deploy as the NATO spearhead ---

… The ARRC was a product of NATO’s Strategic Concept, endorsed at the Rome Summit in 1991, …

60% of the staff from the United Kingdom (as the framework nation) with 14 partner nations contributing 40% (Canada, the Czech Republic, France, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, TURKEY and the United
States)….

Scott said...

Hmm....When we start to see them headed towards Israel things could (at that time) become VERY interesting...

I don't have any new stuff from Alan Franklin, to pass on BUT he does have a very strong stance re. Tony Blair. Alan does speak in the U.S.

If you email him yourself, he may be able to put you wise to a few things about our 'Tone. He is very approachable and I had a lovely email from him last night making sure I was ok. :)
