In The News: A Slice Of Time Reveals Where We Are On The Prophetic Timeline

Just take a general overall look at the news today. Nothing specific, but note the general condition of where we are today as we approach the Tribulation. Persecution is a strong underlying theme today:

The U.S. Department of Justice has revealed in a court filing it agrees with the philosophy of the German government that bureaucrats can punish homeschooling parents.

The arguments were made in a pleading before the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals that encourages the judges to send a German homeschooling family, the Romeikes, back to Germany where members likely would face persecution.

Markle suggested said since all parents whose children don’t attend mandatory public school classes – homeschoolers and truants alike, the punishment for all is fair.
The German family had withdrawn their children from German schools over teachings on sex, violence and other issues that conflicted with their Christian faith.
The DOJ also brought in international court rulings, noting that, “The European Court of Human Rights has held that parents could not refuse the right to education of a child on the basis of the parents’ convictions, because the child has an independent right to education.”
Such rulings in Europe have been used to confirm that it is the state that makes decisions about education for children, not parents.

Farris had warned that the court’s position has far-reaching consequences.
“When the United States government says that homeschooling is a mutable choice, it is saying that a government can legitimately coerce you to change this choice,” Farris said. “In other words, you have no protected right to choose what type of education your children will receive. We should understand that in these arguments, something very concerning is being said about the liberties of all Americans.
HSLDA said the Romeikes fled from Germany to the United States to legally homeschool. An immigration judge who heard their case ruled they had a well-founded fear of persecution if returned to German, so granted them asylum.
Their children had been undergoing indoctrination in Germany on issues of sexual permissiveness and leftist political ideology when the family decided to act.
But the Obama administration, unhappy with the outcome, appealed.
The German Supreme Court said because of the issue of socialization, the state, not parents, decides how children are educated.

As WND reported, police officers appeared on their Romeike’s doorstep in Germany in 2006 to forcibly take their children to a local public school.
Germany is notorious for its attacks on homeschooling families. In one case several years ago, a young teen was taken from her family and put into a psychiatric ward because she was homeschooled. Fines and even jail terms are common.

The abortion battle in Texas was still raging Tuesday as both abortion supporters and pro-life activists flooded the State Capitol to make their voices heard. The Texas House and Senate reconvened briefly for a special session called by Gov. Rick Perry.
One of the more bizarre tactics used by pro-abortion activists involved chanting “Hail Satan!” to harass a pro-life crowd as they sang “Amazing Grace.”
Texas blogger Adam Cahm was able to capture the “Hail Satan” chant on video. Watch it here:

With the recent decision to arm the opposition fighting Syrian President Assad, the United States has effectively declared a proxy war on Syria’s indigenous Christians—a proxy war that was earlier waged on Christians in other Mideast nations, resulting in the abuse, death, and/or mass exodus of Christians.

Ironically (if not absurdly) this proxy war on Christians is being presented to the American people as a war to safeguard the “human rights” and “freedoms” of the Syrian people.  Left unsaid by the Obama administration is the egregiously inhuman behavior these jihadis visit upon moderate Syrians in general Christians in particular, from bombed churches to kidnapped (and often beheaded) Christians.  Days ago they massacred an entire Christian village.

In Libya, the administration armed/supported the “freedom fighters” fighting Gaddafi, even though it was common knowledge that many of them were connected to al-Qaeda.

Libya’s small Christian minority is also being targeted.  Among other things, the very few churches there are under attack and bombed; nuns that have been serving the sick and needy since 1921 have been harassed and forced to flee; foreign Christians possessing Bibles have been arrested and tortured (one recently died from his torture).

In Egypt, Obama and Hillary joined the bandwagon to eject Hosni Mubarak, America’s most stable and secular ally for thirty years. Then the administration cozied up to the Muslim Brotherhood—an Islamist organization that until recently was banned in Egypt and which no U.S. president would have been involved with.

As expected, since the Brotherhood came to power, the persecution of Copts has practically been legalized, as unprecedented numbers of Christians—men, women, and children—have been arrested, often receiving more than double the maximum prison sentence, under the accusation that they “blasphemed” Islam and/or its prophet.  It was also under Brotherhood rule that another unprecedented scandal occurred: the St. Mark Cathedral—holiest site of Coptic Christianity and home of the pope himself—was besieged in broad daylight by Islamic rioters.  When security came, they too joined in the attack on the cathedral.  And the targeting of Christian children—for abduction, ransom, rape, and/or forced conversion—has also reached unprecedented levels under Morsi.

Outside the Mideast, where Muslims are often not majorities, the administration wages its proxy war on Christians in other ways.  For example, in Nigeria, where more Christians have been slaughtered and churches bombed by Boko Haram jihadis than all throughout the world combined, after the Nigerian government went on a serious offensive to neutralize Boko Haram, John Kerry warned it not to violate the “human rights” of the jihadis—the same jihadis daily abusing the human rights of Christians, often in most inhuman ways.

Put differently, Muslim persecution of Christians is the litmus test of how “radical” an Islamic society has become.  Thus, in all those Mideast nations that the Obama administration has interfered—Egypt, Libya, and now Syria—the increase of Christian persecution in those countries is a reflection of the empowerment of forces hostile to the U.S. and Western civilization.

Syrian rebels are now implementing Sharia over many areas in Syria. When it comes to Christians, those who refuse to accept Islam are made to pay the jizya, a tax for non-Muslims. Those who refuse to pay are threatened with being sacrificed to Allah in an Islamic ritual. One account tells of how, when rebels took a certain village, they gave the choice to Christians to convert or leave. Those who didn’t were told they could stay on the condition that they had to pay the jizya, but, as the account read:

For Christians who refused there remained two choices: they could leave behind all their property or they would be slain. The word that was used for the latter in Arabic (dhabaha) refers to the ritual slaughter of sacrificial animals.

This confirms what we’ve been trying to tell America: true Islam is now gradually revealing itself, and that means not just human sacrifice but also cannibalism.

Now the insanity of Islam is showing its ugly face in Egypt; just take a look at this recent video of major rioting occurring:

The mob rule in Syria is getting more and more open and severe everyday, just look at this video released from Syria

The true nature of Islam is mob violence, ritual human sacrifice and  cannibalism — the end results of heresy.

Elsewhere in Cairo, the Muslim Brotherhood seemed determined to secure Morsi’s legitimate place as Egypt’s leader with its illegitimate security force.
“Strength, determination, faith, Morsi’s men are everywhere!” they screamed while stomping their feet and doing air punches in the air. Overweight men in beards then dropped down and began doing pushups.
The tension was high as they waved their sticks in the air and stomped their feet in front of the presidential palace. Their numbers had clearly grown from Friday, when they’d formed up in squad-size units of 15 to 20; on Tuesday, they were organized in platoons, 50 or 60 men to a unit.
One group donned blue construction helmets and orange life vests to serve as protection from rubber bullets. Another wore red and silver motorcycle helmets; its members carried green pipes. They vowed to battle to the death.
Some had written “martyr” on their orange vests. Others carried signs that read: “Martyr Project.”
“I am prepared to be martyred,” one man told another.
If they succeed in defending Morsi’s hold on the presidency, it’s unclear what Morsi would control. On Monday, the military leadership, the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, gave Morsi and his opponents 48 hours to outline a “roadmap” for reconciliation. If they don’t come to consensus, the military said it would “intervene.”

Turmoil and uncertainty in Egypt deepened Wednesday after the country’s defiant president insisted he will not step down in the face of demands by millions of protesters, vowing to protect his “constitutional legitimacy” with his life.
Overnight clashes between President Mohammed Morsi’s supporters and opponents left at least 23 dead, most of them in a single incident of fighting outside Cairo University.

The violence came just hours before a military deadline was to expire Wednesday for Morsi to find a solution with the opposition or the army would impose its own political plan. The draft would see the military suspend the constitution, disband parliament and install a new leadership.

Morsi and his Muslim Brotherhood are prepared to run the risk of challenging the army. It also entrenches the lines of confrontation between his Islamist supporters and Egyptians angry over what they see as his efforts to impose control through the Brotherhood and his failures to deal with the country’s multiple problems.

On Tuesday, millions of jubilant, chanting Morsi opponents again filled Cairo’s historic Tahrir Square, as well as avenues adjacent to two presidential palaces in the capital, and main squares in cities nationwide. After Morsi’s speech, they erupted in indignation, banging metal fences to raise a din, some raising their shoes in the air in a show of contempt. “Leave, leave,” they chanted.
The president’s supporters also moved out in increased marches in Cairo and other cities, and stepped up warnings that it will take bloodshed to dislodge him. While Morsi has stuck to a stance that he is defending democracy in Egypt, many of his Islamist backers have presented the fight as one to protect Islam.

Wow! I find the bit about the Muslims turning to cannibalism and human sacrifice rather intriguing. It just goes to show the true nature of Islam as well as the fact that the human race, for all of it's technical advancements, is no different than it was in Old Testament times.

Stocks are UP again, records may
still HAPPEN.....bears are NOT
performing at all.

If records occur, it could be a
LONG TIME before the next top.

Morsi is out. I wonder what lunatic is next. I also wonder if a) a more hardline Islamic party is next and b) how many of the protestors think Morsi was too moderate.
