Is World War 3 right around the corner? Perhaps. Iran has promised that it will ignore all of the United States’ warnings when it comes to Israel. Washington’s demand that Tehran keep out of the conflict with Hamas is “invalid,” Iran’s ruler Ebrahim Raisi has said.
In an interview with Qatar-based Al Jazeera on Saturday, Raisi said that Washington “is asking us not to move while providing broad support to the Zionist entity… This is an invalid demand.” In other words, Tehran will ignore U.S. warnings not to intervene in the Hamas-Israel conflict, Raisi has said. He also blasted the West over alleged reluctance to help end the hostilities.
He also said that the United States had sent messages to the ‘Axis of Resistance’ – referring to an informal alliance of anti-Western and anti-Israel forces in the Middle East – and “received a practical and public answer on the ground,” according to a report by RT.
Raisi went on to accuse the U.S. and some unnamed European countries of “obstructing the ceasefire in Gaza,” calling such policies “a crime.” He added that “the United States’ calculations in the region are completely wrong, and said it will not achieve its goals with a new Middle East,” stressing that Tehran’s support for the Palestinians “is not subject to compromise.”
The U.S. is doing everything it can to keep this war going and expand it. It has offered unconditional support for Israel and even vetoed a United Nations humanitarian ceasefire.
There is no way this war cannot spill over. The U.S. is getting increasingly involved as Iran claims it will ignore whatever it says. Be ready for anything. This has the potential to get bigger at any time, so we should be prepared.
