'Imminent Threat' Of WWIII And Nuclear Holocaust

Tulsi Gabbard claims there is an 'imminent threat' of 'World War III and a nuclear Holocaust' that no one is prepared for - and 'Ukraine’s going to have to give up something' to achieve peace

Former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard has warned of the 'imminent threat' of nuclear war, and brought up those dangers when asked about her political future after announcing she is leaving the Democratic Party.

She accused the media of downplaying the nuclear threat, at a time when U.S officials have blasted Russian President Vladimir Putin for nuclear saber rattling amid his battlefield losses in Ukraine.

She made the comments a day after announcing she will leave her former party, having run for president as a Democrat and represented Hawaii in Congress, while also distancing herself from her party during frequent media appearances on Fox news

'If we continue down this path that we have seen, where we have seen this war continue to escalate since the invasion happened? We will end up in World War III and a nuclear holocaust,' Gabbard told podcaster Joe Rogan.

'That people are kind of sitting ducks because of the decisions that our leaders have made. If I felt that there was a way that I could stop that and make a difference and impact that and pull us back from the brink, then yeah, I'd seriously consider running again,' she added. 'My concern though is like, we don't know what's gonna happen, and you know, we don't know if it's gonna be too late.'

Rogan agreed wholeheartedly with her assessment.

'I mean, I wish I had a counterpoint,' he said. 'And I don't know how many people are even really truly aware of how close we are.'

'Most people aren't,' Gabbard continued, in comments flagged by Mediaite. 'And part of it is because, again, the media hardly covers it. And if they do, they're talking about it as though it's like, you know, one missile system against the other. They're talking about the waging of a nuclear war as though it can be won or as though there's some kind of limitation to the destruction and devastation that it will cause.'

Putin last month said Russia would use 'all available means' to defend Russian territory, in a rambling speech last month where he announced Russia would hold referendums in four territories seized from Ukraine, in a process the U.S. called a 'sham.'
