Near the end of the protest, some of the demonstrators were arrested by London’s Metropolitan police.
The heavy-handed police response to the protest has drawn criticism, especially when compared to the response to the march held by the environmental group Extinction Rebellion at the same time.
Meanwhile, others were disappointed at mainstream media’s uneven coverage of both protests, with the Extinction Rebellion protest getting more attention.
“A few Extremist Rebellion anarchists perform to a cabbage and it’s all over the news,” wrote political commentator Calvin Robinson on Twitter. “Thousands of people protest against medical tyranny and not a peep.”
“Mainstream media is complicit,” he added.
Meanwhile, author and journalist James Dellingpole pointed out how most British mainstream media treated the protest as if it never happened.
“But [it] didn’t happen, according to the BBC and the rest of the [mainstream media],” he tweeted.
Last Saturday’s march was just the latest in a series of protest actions that have occurred in the U.K. against the vaccine passports that the government has been mulling.
Less than a week before, on August 23, anti-vaccine protesters occupied the headquarters of ITV News and Channel 4 News in London.
The U.K. has been trialing vaccine passports since April, when the first trials were implemented as a supposed way to restart public events such as concerts and sporting events. Back then, government leaders promised that the passports would be time-limited. In addition, people could also use evidence of a negative test in place of a vaccine passport. (Related: New update to UK NHS tracking app turns it into a VACCINE PASSPORT.)
But now, the government is looking toward the full introduction of domestic vaccine passports. In July, Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that vaccine passports would become compulsory to enter packed venues, such as nightclubs, from late September, once all adults have had a chance to receive two vaccinations.
“I have to say I don’t welcome the minister’s statement, particularly vaccine passports for crowded venues, which is effectively moving to compulsory vaccination,” said MP Mark Harper, who also leads the lockdown-skeptic Covid Research Group. Harper added that the government could struggle to win support for the measures among other Conservatives in government.
A leading conservative medical and health freedom organization is criticizing mainstream media outlets in the United States for ignoring alternative, cheap, effective and early treatment options for Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19). This organization has accused media outlets of being in the pockets of Big Pharma.
The group in question is America’s Frontline Doctors (AFLDS). It is a non-partisan and not-for-profit organization that represents individuals from a range of medical disciplines. All of their members have practical experience with healthcare and medicine. The organization’s current goals involve the promotion of solutions to the COVID-19 pandemic.
These solutions include providing Americans with science-based information regarding the coronavirus and combating the COVID-19 pandemic using evidence-based solutions that do not compromise people’s Constitutional freedoms. The group wants these solutions to be available for all Americans who need them.
The group is also concerned about protecting physicians from potential government overreach and advocating for healthcare policies that protect the physician-patient relationship.
Also of note is the organization’s fight against media censorship of alternative and early treatment options for COVID-19 and the “medical cancel culture” of physicians that promote these treatments.
Recently, AFLDS published a statement in response to what it called “inaccurate” and “slanderous” reporting by mainstream media outlets Time Magazine and NBC News.
The AFLDS accused the government of taking a fatalist attitude toward the COVID-19 pandemic. “The government has contended that there is nothing that can be done other than masking to protect individuals from COVID-19,” wrote the organization.
“The human cost of that reckless and unscientific prescription has been massive,” wrote the AFLDS.
The organization continued by talking about several licensed physicians who have promoted the use of various combinations of early COVID-19 treatments including hydroxychloroquine, ivermectin, antibiotics, zinc and other vitamins.
Unfortunately, AFLDS pointed out that these physicians and their “extremely impressive clinical results” with using these alternative treatments have not been covered faithfully by mainstream media outlets. The group laments this fact because these medicines are cheap and easily available, but the majority of Americans do not understand their effectiveness against COVID-19 because of “unprecedented media censorship.”
“Globally it is well known that early treatment works but this truth continues to be frantically suppressed by the dishonest American media,” continued the AFLDS. The group then proceeded to cite several examples. The statement read:
“In India the scientist who withheld this cheap, safe medicine from her people is now facing the death penalty. In Japan the Tokyo Medical Association urged all doctors to prescribe ivermectin. In China [hydroxychloroquine] has been recommended since March 2020.”
The AFLDS then highlighted the fact that mainstream media outlets have failed to report the more than 300 scientific studies that show using these early treatment options is very effective against COVID-19. Some of these studies were published in some of the country’s most prestigious medical journals, including the American Journal of Medicineand the American Journal of Therapeutics.
U.S. data show a steady rise in breakthrough infections among FULLY vaccinated people
The spread of the B16172 delta variant throughout the U.S. has caused a surge in breakthrough infections. Data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention‘s (CDC) latest weekly report confirm the increase in COVID-19 cases among fully vaccinated Americans. The newly released figures have strengthened calls from government scientists to push for booster shots to address the spread of the more infectious delta strain.
The CDC report published on Aug. 24 included data from more than 43,000 confirmed cases in Los Angeles County from May through July 25 of this year. Unvaccinated residents accounted for the majority of the cases — 30,081 cases, or 71.4 percent — while fully vaccinated individuals made up 25.3 percent (10,895 individuals) of the total. Partially vaccinated individuals accounted for only 3.3 percent (1,431 individuals).
Barbara Ferrer, the county’s public health director, acknowledged the breakthrough infections during a recent briefing. “[These] reflect the reality that the vaccines do not provide 100 percent protection. [With] these high rates of community transmission, more fully vaccinated people are getting post-vaccination infections,” she admitted.
Doctors who talked to NBC also said that several studies, particularly those from Israel, which began vaccinating its citizens in December 2020, likely played a role in the Biden administration’s chosen timing for booster shots. The majority of people in Israel were vaccinated with the Pfizer/BioNTech mRNA vaccine. According to the Israeli Ministry of Health, people over 65 who were vaccinated in January 2021 now only have 55 percent immunity against the virus. (Related: Israel finds Pfizer vaccine only 39 percent effective against delta variant, meaning that fully vaccinated people can still spread covid.)
