Many speculate that there is an ongoing effort behind-the-scenes to bring a New World Order, a global government, to the forefront. The work to bring a New World Order is a topic that I do not write about often. In this article, I will primarily focus on whether we can use the Bible to support the notion that there’s an ongoing effort to bring a New World Order to the forefront.
The Bible suggests that the Antichrist will someday have an empire whose influence will dominate the earth:
(23) Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. (24) And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. (25) And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.” (Daniel 7:23-25)
The Bible also suggests that this empire is likely going to form as a result of Antichrist conquering many countries and from leaders surrendering their power to Antichrist:
“(36) And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. (37) Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all. (38) But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things. (39) Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.” (Daniel 11:36-39)
“(12) And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. (13) These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.” (Revelation 17:12-13)
Based on the verses cited above, it appears that the Antichrist is the main catalyst that brings us a New World Order (global government) rather than the potential efforts of people today. Again, Antichrist will establish his dominance over the world by conquering countries and by persuading leaders to surrender their power to him.
The 193-Member United Nations General Assembly today formally adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, along with a set of bold new Global Goals, which Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon hailed as a universal, integrated and transformative vision for a better world
In other words, the United Nations which represents the nations and people of the world came together and agreed upon what they have termed “Agenda 2030” – a set of goals for the entire planet that will be universally binding on everyone, everywhere. At least that is what they are hoping for. In short, the UN intends to impose new laws, rules, regulations, programs, and initiatives upon every human being in the world in an effort to accomplish a series of 17 goals that they feel are in the best interests of the planet which they lump under the term “Sustainability”.
The concept of “sustainability” or “environmentalism” is the one subject/initiative that all peoples from all cultures, of all faiths, and all political ideologies should be able to support. In other words, rallying all of the people of Earth together to accomplish sustainability leads toward a specific outcome…global unity.
At this point, for those of you who are reading this and are Christians, my hope is that your red flags are going up. Those who are familiar with the Bible should be keenly aware that God has warned us in the Scriptures that in the Last Days, the human race would become unified politically, economically, and spiritually. (Revelation 13) Global government. Global economy. Global religion.
It’s with this in mind that I’m reminded of something I heard on the radio a while back called Understanding the Times which struck me as pretty profound. In talking about the Antichrist, they pointed out that when the time comes for the Antichrist to be revealed, he isn’t going to appear on the world stage and then try to build the New World Order. The NWO will already be prepared and ready to go for his arrival so that when he takes his place as leader of the world, he will immediately have control of a unified planet.
Though I had never thought about it that way before, it makes complete sense. It would take too long to try to create the NWO at the start of the seven-year tribulation. Thus, it is necessary for all of the structures to be put into place first in order to usher in the Antichrist. Think of it as a game of chess…all of the pieces have to get put into place first before the final move is made for checkmate. And that is exactly what we are witnessing with Agenda 2030.
Ever since the United Nations enacted Agenda 21 (basically a first draft of Agenda 2030) in 1992 at a meeting in Rio de Janeiro, it has been grabbing more and more power at a faster pace, and this latest round of global goals is pushing things into high gear.
