    President Vladimir Putin has visited the Fort Richardson National Cemetery near Anchorage to honor Soviet pilots, who died in Alaska while ferrying US-made aircraft to the Soviet Union under the Lend-Lease program during the World War II. The president was filmed making the sign of the cross after laying flowers at one of the tombs.

He also mentioned that they made significant progress and emphasized that he has very good relations with President Putin.
