That’s a great question and perhaps Dr. Fauci should be asked about it.
In a recent article for a prominent medical journal, Fauci wrote that combating COVID-19 requires “rebuilding the infrastructures of human existence,” which means, apparently, giving more U.S. tax dollars to an organization that lied to us.
“Living in greater harmony with nature will require changes in human behavior as well as other radical changes that may take decades to achieve: rebuilding the infrastructures of human existence, from cities to homes to workplaces, to water and sewer systems, to recreational and gatherings venues,” Fauci — along with National Institute of Allergy & Infectious Diseases scientific senior adviser David Morens — wrote in the Sept. 3 issue of Cell.“Chief among them are reducing crowding at home, work, and in public places as well as minimizing environmental perturbations such as deforestation, intense urbanization, and intensive animal farming,” they said. “Equally important are ending global poverty, improving sanitation and hygiene, and reducing unsafe exposure to animals, so that humans and potential human pathogens have limited opportunities for contact.”
Now for the ‘good’ part: They both noted that “global biosafety cooperation” ought to be improved “by strengthening the United Nations and its agencies, particularly the World Health Organization” (among other measures).
‘Strengthening?’ What does that mean, exactly? And how would ‘strengthening’ the WHO keep its top officials from being dishonest and covering for China?
The WHO has said that Chinese authorities first informed it about the outbreak on Dec. 31, 2019. While that would have been a golden opportunity to mitigate the spread of the virus worldwide, the WHO conveyed none of its information to the world that day. …
By Dec. 31, the island nation off the coast of mainland China had already started monitoring travelers coming on flights from Wuhan. Taiwan authorities also told the WHO that day that Taiwanese doctors had learned from their mainland counterparts that health care workers had been falling ill with the mysterious new virus.
But the WHO ignored Taiwan’s warnings because the UN doesn’t really recognize the island as anything but a Chinese province (which it isn’t).
Thankfully, not everyone is on board with Fauci’s desire to ‘rebuild’ a dishonest, pro-China ‘health’ organization.
“Fauci and Morens’s prescription should give every lover of liberty and national sovereignty great pause,” the Discovery Institute’s Wesley Smith said in response to the Fauci-Moren article.
“At the very least, the gargantuan task would require unprecedented and intrusive government regulations and the transferring of policy control from the national to international level—nothing less than an international technocratic and authoritarian supra-governing system—with the power to direct how we interact with each other as family, friends, and in community,” Smith continued.
It’s also alarming what Fauci is recommending because the WHO legitimized intentionally false statements about the COVID-19 virus outbreak during the earliest days; that led to other nations dropping their guard, which in turn led to the virus’ global spread.
No, the very last thing the United States (and the rest of the world) should do is ‘rebuild’ a dishonest medical and health agency that is nothing more than a shill and propaganda outlet for the world’s most dangerous threat to liberty and freedom.
