Migrant Caravan Update: Moving Towards U.S. Border

DHS Confirms Gang Members and Other Dangerous Criminals Are Embedded in Migrant Caravan Traveling to US

On Tuesday, the Department of Homeland Security confirmed what we already knew to be true.

Gang members and people with “significant criminal histories” are embedded in the massive migrant caravan of mostly military-aged males marching up to the United States.
DHS spox Tyler Houlton said Tuesday in a tweetstorm:
“The DHS can confirm that there are individuals within the caravan who are gang members or have significant criminal histories,” Tyler Houlton said.
The DHS then confirmed Judicial Watch’s reporting that people from Bangladesh, Congo, South Asia and the Middle East are also traveling with the caravan.
“Citizens of countries outside Central America, including countries in the Middle East, Africa, South Asia, and elsewhere are currently traveling through Mexico toward the U.S.,” Tyler Houlton added.

“Stopping the caravan is not just about national security or preventing crime, it is also about national sovereignty and the rule of law. Those who seek to come to America must do so the right and legal way.”
President of Judicial Watch Tom Fitton called for a criminal investigation into who is organizing this army invasion.

The 72 hour "ready-standby" order was given to the 1st Armored Division at Fort Bliss, TX.  This story mistakenly reported the base as Fort Campbell, KY.  The story has been corrected.
The White House is under a virtual onslaught of politico types from Congress and various Executive Branch Departments (State Dept / Homeland Security et. al.) who are screeching "Posse-Comitatus" and saying the US military cannot be used for civilian law enforcement concerning the approaching migrant caravan.
The position of the White House is that the military is being deployed on US soil "to protect America from a known, approaching, foreign invasion."   The White House points to Article 4, Section 4 of the US Constitution as its authority; specifically the provision requiring the United States to "protect (each state) from invasion."
The politicos and various left-wing groups are now threatening to seek a restraining order via the federal courts to prevent the President from using the military in this border situation.
The position of the Administration is that the Constitution makes the President Commander-in-Chief of the military and his authority over the military is plenary, (absolute) which the courts have no say over.

The administration also points out that the War Powers Act empowers a President to use the US military in defense of the nation for up to 60 days without Congressional involvement.  More importantly, MOST of the War Powers Act is only applicable when US military forces are operating OUTSIDE the United States, not when they are actively defending US Territory.  However, pursuant to 50 U.S. Code § 1541 (c)(3) the President may use such troops in a "national emergency created by an attack . . ."  It is irrefutable that hordes of illegal aliens storming our border would constitute an "attack," and as all of you already know, the President himself has already referred to this situation as a "national emergency"  -- so the legal language is already now in-place to use troops.
Internal Administration documents are ALL referring to this "migrant caravan" as a "foreign invasion force" with zero mention of immigration/refugees or migrants.  It is being treated as a direct threat to our national security, to our territorial integrity, and to our sovereignty, REQUIRING a military deployment.
The President is being harassed to use the National Guard instead of the military, but he flatly refuses to do so "because that will involve Governors who have interfered in the past.  We won't allow that this time."
The original Caravan is now documented over 12,000 people and two additional "caravans" are being organized in Guatemala and in Honduras right now.
If the first "caravan" gets through, the others will be right behind demanding to get in as well.
More than 40,000 MEXICANS are now beginning to "stage" to join the original "caravan" so that there will be over 50,000 people trying to storm the border at the same time.
The original "caravan" is being aided and abetted by VEHICLES being supplied by unknown entities, so they can arrive at the southern border BEFORE ELECTION DAY.  The goal is to cause a massive incident before election day - either forcing the President to use military force against "unarmed civilians" to make Americans sick to their stomach - and presumably cause them to vote for Democrats, or for President Trump to cave-in, allow the migrants into the country, thereby wrecking his own political base.  Put simply, the Democrats view this as Trump being "damned if he does, and damned if he doesn't."
As of this morning, one DUAL CITIZEN (America/Mexico) was taken under arrest inside Mexico in connection with this "migrant caravan" and he is presently being held by Mexican authorities.
Word through my back-channel sources says this guy was a sort of "point man" for PAYING people to join the "caravan" and that the US feds plan to prosecute him for funding an invasion against the US.

This official action by two sovereign foreign states, Mexico and Guatemala, seems to explain cash payments being made openly to "migrants" on the streets of Mexico, who are participating in their trek to the USA.
It also seems to explain why Mexican authorities appear to have done nothing meaningful to stem the flow of these people.
It further seems to explain the providing of vehicles to transport these people from southern Mexico toward the US Border.
In short, the official Act reported above seems to be the legal basis for the Trump Administration to launch military action against both Mexico and Guatemala because the human wave of "migrants" coming at the US southern border are doing so at the behest of foreign powers.

Even though the midterm elections are about two weeks away, it is the massive caravan of migrants currently headed toward the U.S. border that is garnering most of the top headlines.  President Trump had been hoping that this caravan would be stopped at Mexico’s southern border, but that did not happen, and now it appears that we could be looking at a major international incident along the U.S. border with Mexico not many days from now.  As you will see below, it is being reported that the population of “the caravan” has grown to 14,000 people, and many of them are extremely angry with Donald Trump.
The Mexicans had closed their border with Guatemala as “the caravan” approached, but migrants started using boats to cross into Mexico and the Mexican police failed to stop them.

Now the caravan is steamrolling north, and one Mexican newspaper is reporting that the number of people involved has grown to 14,000

Mexican police, who failed to stop them at that country’s border with Guatemala, now serve as escorts for the caravan as it barrels north, its members clear that they have no intention of staying in Mexico, and have eyes only for the U.S.
New estimates cited by El Universal, a Mexican newspaper, say the caravan now has 14,000 people, many of them already in Mexico while others still wait.

If that number is accurate, that means that the number of migrants has doubled, and it will likely grow even more as the caravan travels northward through Mexico.
But President Trump is pledging that this caravan will not be given the opportunity to enter the United States.  One of his primary concerns is that there could be gang members and Middle Eastern terrorists embedded among the migrants
And on Twitter, President Trump has pledged to use the U.S. military to close the border if that is what it takes
….In addition to stopping all payments to these countries, which seem to have almost no control over their population, I must, in the strongest of terms, ask Mexico to stop this onslaught – and if unable to do so I will call up the U.S. Military and CLOSE OUR SOUTHERN BORDER!..
And it looks like President Trump’s relationship with Mexico will never be the same again.  Trump had repeatedly asked the Mexican government to stop this caravan, but instead the Mexican police have “stepped aside” and have allowed the caravan to pass…
For now, Mexican police have merely stepped aside as the caravan has passed, watching first as migrants took rafts across the river that separates the country from Guatemala, and then as they continued by foot along the main highway, chanting, “Si, se pudo,” or “Yes, we did it.”
That response appears to have been conveyed to the White House, and now, once again, Mexico’s most important bilateral relationship appears to be on shaky ground.
