Wars And Rumors Of War II, The Rise Of The 'Kings Of The East'

This ongoing development is largely missed by the MSM, but it represents a very ominous situation that is only worsening by the day. Wars and rumors of war indeed.

With no major world power posing any kind of a threat to them, China is donning their war paint and swaggering towards conflict. On the eve of Joe Biden visiting Japan, China ratcheted up the rhetoric of war and militarily threatened Japan over China’s newly declared air defense zone. They boldly state they will ‘enforce’ new aircraft controls in a maneuver that amounts to a dare to Japan to step over this midair red line. Poke, poke, threaten, dare – repeat until something happens:

Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Geng Yangsheng accused Japan in a statement of “making trouble” and he warned Chinese military aircraft would enforce the newly imposed air defense identification zone, or ADIZ.
“Japan’s actions have seriously harmed China’s legitimate rights and security interests, and undermined the peace and stability in East Asia,” Geng said through the official Xinhua news agency. “China has to take necessary reactions.”
Geng listed a series of actions by Japan he said had increased tensions, including Tokyo’s frequent dispatch of ships and aircraft to areas near the disputed Senkaku islands, threats to shoot down Chinese drones, and overall escalation of regional tensions.
Without mentioning the United States, Geng also said other countries must “correct wrong remarks and wrongdoings,” he said.
“Other parties should not be incited, or send wrong signals to make a very few countries go further on the wrong track, which will follow the same old disastrous road and undermine regional and world peace,” Geng said, insisting that China adheres to peaceful development and defensive policies.
The comments were the most forceful by a Chinese government spokesman since Beijing unilaterally declared the ADIZ that overlaps Japan’s air defense zone and covers the Senkakus, which China calls Diaoyu.

Of course, the US has already seemingly capitulated to China, who owns us, by telling American Airlines and others to submit and comply with the ‘so-called’ Chinese air space demands. In essence, hanging our allies Japan and South Korea out to dry and at the mercy of the Chinese communists. It’s a complete turn around from Obama’s previous stance of supporting Japan on this issue, invoking defense commitments under the U.S.-Japan defense treaty.

This weakness and now capitulation to China is drawing strong rebuke from leaders:

“In an obvious attempt to placate China, the United States is sacrificing the assurance to our allies in the region that we are a reliable and steadfast security partner,” Sen. James Inhofe (R., Okla.) said in a statement to the Free Beacon.
Inhofe noted that 2012 marked the 60th anniversary of the U.S.-Japan defense treaty.
“The belated invocation of our treaty obligation clearly falls well short of an appropriate response to this latest provocation by China that would be consistent with the spirit and intent of the treaty,” Inhofe said. “Unfortunately, this follows a pattern of fumbled reactions by the Obama administration in other regions of the world, especially in the Middle East and North Africa.”

China could also poke the badger further by announcing another air defense zone over the South China Sea. That would really hack off Vietnam, the Philippines and other states. Looks to me like China is just itching for a conflict. They feel emboldened and are starting to play global RISK for real, by taking over more airspace and by de facto, countries as well. China is calling for Japan to “correct mistakes” in the air zone. In other words, surrender the space to us, or we will hit Japan. This is not a game folks. This is the foreplay of war and we are definitely involved here. China is not going to back down on this. Period.
China is claiming self-defense over this, but we all see this for what it is… a move to conquer and take over countries and extend power. What? You thought war was passe?

Much of this also goes towards commercial benefit. As Russia is doing the same, China is making moves on gas and oil reserves.
According to military sources in Taiwan, China’s next move in the East China Sea will be challenging the middle line dividing China and Taiwan along the 100-mile wide Taiwan Strait. China will most likely press Taiwan to permit civilian flights to cross the middle line. It’s a move to take Taiwan over and a definite move towards war.
China feels she owns the US and in many respects, at least economically, she does. She is threatening any and all who stand in her way.
China has allied herself with a new axis of evil comprised of China, Russia and Iran as well as others who want global power. The US is a weakling now who seems to be content to let dictators and communists run amok, while redistributing wealth, preaching Marxism and actively destroying their own Republic. Our whacky leaders have gone villainous on us and are enabling monsters.
While China threatens military action against Japan, loopy Biden and his Marxist buds declare an emphaticmeh and shrug as the Chinese start to make their global move.

The most serious of the Community Organizer in chief's (COinC's) failures is his allowing China, (by taking advantage of his weakness, irresolution, and incoherence) to create a crisis that potentially could cause a multi-nation war in Asia.  This airspace situation in the East China Sea is of immense significance, because from our very founding as a nation, we have championed, deployed military force to support, and fought for freedom of navigation.
American leaders, for over two hundred years have recognized that, as a commercial nation, freedom of navigation was and would be vital to both our economic success and our economic security.

As China becomes more confident, more nationalistic, more powerful militarily, and more economically aggressive (and arguably more desperate), these crises are likely to become more numerous and more escalatory.
The current crisis is unique for several reasons.  First, the East China Sea is not the Gulf of Sidra or the Taiwan Straits: It is a major air and maritime thoroughfare vital to Japanese, and particularly South Korean, economic security.  The precedent of allowing China to assert sovereignty of such a vital section of international airspace would be ominous.

Second, allowing China to do this would embolden further Chinese claims such as asserting exclusive economic and maritime jurisdiction over the East China Sea, the South China Sea and the Spratly Islands.  For the Chinese, the objective is ultimately exclusive air, maritime, and economic rights out to the Second Island Chain, a vast enlargement of China's sovereign control.

The challenge is that by not responding, the US will increasingly force allies and neutrals in the region to seek accommodation with the Chinese, further weakening the US position in the region.  Our weakness will also likely lead to South Korea and Japan seeking independent nuclear capability, just as Saudi Arabia will likely do now as a consequence of our submission to Iranian nuclear demands.

All of this will likely lead to a far more dangerous and unstable world.  It will take the US decades to recover the trust of our friends and allies and to again be viewed as a fair international arbitrator.  These are just two of the things that we have deliberately thrown away under Obama's foreign policy.
There are several other broad implications:
First, China's economy cannot sustain itself on its current path. There have been numerous articles on this recently.  These generally discuss the inability of China to maintain sufficiently high growth rates to be able to fulfill the Communist's Party deal of providing economic advancement and security in exchange for retaining political control.
China will become increasingly aggressive in virtually all aspects of foreign affairs.  With the economic resources and excess manpower that it will have, China will be able to create enormous international mischief.  What would the US do, for example, if China stationed military manpower (or more subtly military manpower posing as private security) in the Panama Canal or to protect its oil investments in Africa?  The implications and ramifications of such actions, which will not be opposed by Obama, are unsettling.

Top Obama administration and Pentagon officials signaled a willingness to temporarily accept China’s new, controversial air defense identification zone on Wednesday. Those officials expressed disapproval for the way in which the Asian power has flexed its muscles, and cautioned China not to implement the zone. But they also carved out wiggle room in which the United States and China ultimately could find common ground on the issue, indicating that they may be willing to live with the zone for now — as long as China backs off its demand that all aircraft traveling through it check in first.

And it’s another demonstration that China’s recent decisions have forced the United States to tread carefully. On Wednesday, Biden met with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing for more than five hours, according to a senior administration official. In brief public remarks midway through the marathon session, Biden didn’t mention the air defense zone at all.

Japan, a vital American ally, has expressed fury over the Chinese move and ordered its commercial airliners not to provide information about their flight paths to the Chinese military. By contrast, the United States made a point of flying a pair of B-52s through it last week, but seems to have accepted that China will keep the zone in place indefinitely. U.S. officials have shifted their focus instead on preventing a potential military clash between Japan and China.

U.S. immigration officials are considering a proposal from Chinese investors to create a multibillion-dollar development in New York’s Catskills called "China City" -- raising concerns among critics about the potential cost to U.S. taxpayers and, according to one analyst, the possibility it could be a "stalking horse" for the Beijing government.
A spokesman from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services told FoxNews.com that the proposal for Thompson, N.Y., has not been approved but is under consideration.
The mysterious proposed development appears to be a step beyond the types of ethnic enclaves scattered throughout U.S. cities, like the Chinatown sections of New York City or San Francisco. The 600-acre "China City of America" is located far outside New York City in upstate New York's wetlands and is a meticulously planned project, calling for family housing, a college and student residences, among other structures. In addition to needing federal approval, it would likely need a host of state and local permits before ground could be broken.

If approved, every province in China would have an office there and foreign investors funding the development would receive green cards for their $500,000 checks under the EB-5 program designed to lure foreign investment, according to the Center for Immigration Studies, a conservative organization staunchly opposed to the project.
A detailed report authored by David North, a fellow with the Washington-based group, claimed there is "a charge from within the Chinese community that China City is a stalking horse for the Chinese communist government in Beijing." He claimed he was told one group raised objections with the USCIS.
"It's a perfect storm of problems," North told FoxNews.com, citing what he called dubious job creation claims by the promoters as well as national security concerns.

Regarding prophecy in general... DT wrote yesterday -- "... with all these events. Of course when you tell some people that they'll look at you like you need to be in a mental institution."

I'm betting most who read this site can relate to that comment.

I had a conversation, today, with a sibling about PROPHECY. Suffice it to say, have prayed long & hard for this person -- God is at work in all of us.

Scott - know this site is for prophecy discussion. Hoping you'll not mind this link, meant as a motivational/encouragement boost to fellow Watchmen today.

stocks were down but not convincing. I really need to
see some drops of 200 or more
on the dow to be conclusive.

we will just have to wait for
that I guess.

bank stocks are starting to drop.

the charts are cracking....

dow chart like 1929 ??

it has been for quite a while BUT
THERE IS NO GUARANTEE that stocks
will hold up until 14 Jan....

especially since so MANY things
need to occur between now and
11 APR.....

if we start to drop hard here
then the top is in (29 NOV)

Stephen - open the article above "Stunning chart..." and see the parallels to '29. Very very scary, but we are charting exactly the same now.

harnessandleash,
thanks for the song... I remember that was a hit when I was a teenager. I enjoyed going down memory lane for a few minutes.

Scott, I have already looked at it.
My EWI counts indicate that we CRASH from current levels...

there MAY be a rally on FRI,
but that will be immediately
reversed.

bears are now down to 14.3% with
bulls almost 60 % on the II survey.

one could make the CASE that we have already had a 5 wave count
from the highs of 29 NOV...

5 waves down,

which in ITSELF WOULD argue against
the chart you saw.

in other words, the top is IN !!!!
