12 Dead, Hundreds Injured in Latest Missile Attack on Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport
Twelve people are dead and hundreds are injured after the latest Houthi missile attack on Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport.
The airport shut down operations on Saturday as officials assess the damage.
The US Government warned citizens to avoid Saudi Arabia’s King Khalid International Airport.
One US citizen died in the airport attack, officials said.
The AP reported:
The latest attack on the international airport in Saudi Arabia’s capital of Riyadh killed 12 people and injured over 300 others, civil aviation authorities said early Sunday, with some in critical condition. A Saudi-led coalition blamed Iran-backed Houthi rebels in neighboring Yemen.
It was the deadliest attack in any Gulf Arab country since the start of the Iran war, whose fronts have expanded to include the recent surge in fighting between the Houthis and Saudi-backed Yemeni government forces.
A missile struck a King Khalid International Airport complex housing terminals 3 and 4 for domestic flights, a regional official said, speaking on condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to speak to the media.
The Saudi statement said the dead included four Saudi citizens as well as two Bangladeshi nationals, a Palestinian, a U.S. citizen, an Egyptian, a Jordanian, a Syrian and a Sudanese. It said the injured were being treated at several hospitals.
Iran said still able to produce missiles and drones, is being armed by Russia
Iran has preserved its missile and drone factories and can replenish its supply of the weapons, unnamed Western officials told Bloomberg in a Saturday report, with one official saying Russia was also providing the Islamic Republic with missiles.
The report comes amid ongoing tensions between Washington and Tehran, and just days after American media reported that the US military had been told to plan a return to conflict, reportedly asking for several days of intensive strikes on Iranian energy sites as well as missile and drone arsenals. Trump himself has said that the US will not strike Iran before the November 3 US midterm elections.
According to Bloomberg, Iran has spent the last several months of relative quiet to rearm and rebuild its damaged weapons industry, with officials telling the outlet that the country remains “well-stocked” with both ballistic missiles and anti-ship weapons, and can “quickly add more.”
One official said that Moscow is providing Tehran with missiles. The Russian Defense Ministry did not respond to a request for comment from Bloomberg.
The outlet noted that the officials’ assessment contradicts comments by Trump and his staff, including US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who said on September 30 that the US had destroyed the Iranians’ “military industrial capacity” and “their entire defense base.”
In a statement quoted by Bloomberg, White House spokesperson Anna Kelly “rejected that assessment” by the unnamed officials, the outlet said.
“First, President Trump obliterated Iran’s nuclear facilities during Operation Midnight Hammer,” Bloomberg quoted Kelly as saying, in reference to US strikes during the 12-day Israel-Iran war in June 2025.
“Then, Operation Epic Fury successfully destroyed the conventional shield that Iran sought to create over a nuclear program, including their ballistic missiles, production facilities, and navy,” Kelly said, referring to the war launched by Israel and the US against Iran on February 28 this year.
Meanwhile, the Hebrew-language daily Maariv reported Saturday that in recent weeks, the US had been pushing Israel to launch strikes on Iran on its own, without its military joining in.
The report, which did not cite any sources, said Trump wanted Israel to take the lead on striking Iran, amid reports that Tehran is quickly rearming, since he did not want to take political heat in the US for restarting the war right before the November midterm vote.
The daily said IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir pushed back, warning that such action would likely lead to the postponement of Israel’s October 27 Knesset election.
It said Washington had backed off from the proposal for now.
The Maariv report came a day after Channel 12 reported that senior US officers told Zamir earlier this week that the White House and Pentagon had instructed them to prepare for a massive attack on Iran within three weeks, a timespan that ends shortly before the midterms.
The outlet similarly said Zamir had told his American counterparts that such an attack could cause the Israeli election to be postponed. It cited a senior US official and another official. Jerusalem reportedly assesses that Iran would respond to an American strike with massive missile fire at Israel.
New Infrastructure Being Built For 'The Great Reset'
Digital AI systems are being presented as the future of convenience, efficiency, and security. Military development is a major focus as are healthcare and the drive for cures such as for cancer and many other diseases of the human body. We’re told that life is going to be so much easier, we will all be more informed, and all of life’s problems will have a solution – right at our fingertips! So, they assure us the “moral panic over data centers is foolish.”
Above all, so they tell us, we are in a fight against China to build the greatest human society in history. The stark reality, we’re told, is that America must win the AI race, or China will win it, but it will take a fight equal to the nuclear arms race. And that, we’re told, is why Republicans and Conservatives are for it, and the Democrats and their radical Leftist partners are against it.
But some of us believe caution must be in force as this unknown entity may represent the greatest threat to individual freedom ever conceived. To begin, we must ask WHY are they building such massive facilities? You must understand the goal to understand the tactics! They say. What is the purpose? Why the rush to suddenly cover the nation with more than 5,300 of these compounds – with more on the way?
In fact, the massive centers are designed to build the digital control grid to collect and store every single piece of information that makes up human society. That includes the power to track each individual’s biometrics, health records, every bank account and transaction, what you eat, where you travel, and every daily action. All parked in the technical cloud.
For many years I have been warning of the drive toward global governance that will erase national sovereignty, free markets, and private property. It started with the UN’s plan they called Agenda 21. It was sold as a “comprehensive blueprint for the reorganization of human society.” A few years later the UN updated it to Agenda 2030 containing 17 specific details to achieve the reorganization. Those details are now being imposed in local government programs under the label “Sustainable Development Goals” or SDGs.
It all moves forward through Public/Private/ Partnerships (PPPs) between government and major corporations working to make new laws that will control us. They also use the PPPs to help put their competition out of business. This is not free enterprise – PPPs are a tool right out of the Fascist Playbook.
The Great Reset author, World Economic Forum head Klaus Schwab, explained it all very clearly when he said, “eventually only a few corporations will survive,” and then he explained, “you will own nothing and be happy.”
It’s now becoming more obvious what he meant and why it will be so. In his book the Great Reset, Schwab details the plans. One chapter covers the “Technological Reset,” including “accelerating the digital transformation” and “contact tracing, tracking and surveillance.” Another clearly reveals the whole agenda called “Individual Reset” detailing “Redefining our Humanness!”
Basically, Artificial Intelligences provides these global forces with the main ingredient they’ve always needed to achieve control – the creation of a total surveillance society. Here are some examples.
Digital ID systems implemented through government and corporations will have the unprecedented power to track, monitor, and control every aspect of your life – from your money and healthcare to your social connections. Bill Gates has threatened that “Digital ID must be accepted by US Citizens by 2028, otherwise, they risk exclusion from society.”
In your bank, the move is on to replace cash with digital currency. The account can be remotely closed at any time and the money confiscated – because in reality there is no money. It’s just pretend-wealth controlled at the whim of a government bureaucrat. Every transaction will be recorded. You will control nothing.
Public safety is another promise offered from the AI revolution. With the new AI technology, there are now more than 120,000 Flock cameras across the nation recording everyone you interact with, everything you do, think, and say.
These AI-enhanced cameras can analyze video to detail facial recognition and detect “unusual” behaviors. And they can track any item in your car that gives off blue tooth signals including cell phones, smart watches and ear buds. The excuse is that they can now stop crime before it happens! (before what happens?) A quote from Oracle founder Larry Ellison says it all, a vast AI-fueled surveillance system can ensure “citizens will be on their best behavior.” In an AI justice system, you will be guilty until proven innocent. Flock cameras are the most visible proof that the goal is to build this dangerous surveillance society.
Through AI, the Public/Private Partnerships are creating a global surveillance system all parked in the technical cloud. To collect and store such a huge amount of information requires a massive amount of equipment and space. Can it be any clearer? That’s why Data Centers are so huge!
Thousands of acres of vital farmland are being put under roof, destroying rural economies. Noise pollution caused by loud throbbing sounds from the equipment in the centers is disrupting once-peaceful neighborhoods. As one goes into operation there is constant loud humming from the equipment inside. 24 hours a day – you hear it as you try to sleep. You can’t sit in your yard and enjoy a cookout with your neighbors. Property values are also affected -greatly. Imagine you live in a beautiful, quiet area. Suddenly you learn a massive data center is being built within 400 yards of your house. (you need to say what is wrong here)
Science is now reporting that these centers are changing the atmosphere in the neighborhoods, especially when multiple centers are gathered together. AI data centers can cause climate warming of their surrounding areas by as much as 9.1degrees C.
Houthi attacks on Saudi airports kill 3; U.S. issues regional security alert for citizens in Middle East
- Iran-backed Houthi rebels killed three Saudi civilians in attacks on Abha International Airport and King Khalid International Airport on Oct. 6-7.
- The U.S. State Department warned Americans throughout the Middle East to exercise heightened vigilance due to potential for rapid escalation and targeting of U.S. interests.
- Saudi-backed Yemeni government forces have launched an offensive to reclaim territory from Houthis, with Saudi air support and advances near the strategic Bab el-Mandeb strait.
- The Trump administration ruled out pre-midterm attacks on Iran while diesel prices hit record highs above $6 per gallon amid the regional conflict.
- Saudi Arabia signed a defense pact with Turkey and Pakistan in August, and Turkish officials are now assessing air defense support for the kingdom.
The attack and regional escalation
Iran-backed Houthi rebels struck two civilian airports in Saudi Arabia this week, killing three Saudi citizens and wounding 36 others in what marks a dangerous escalation of Yemen’s renewed civil war and the broader Middle East conflict. The attacks occurred Oct. 6-7 at Abha International Airport and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, with the Houthi terrorist group claiming responsibility.
The U.S. State Department responded Thursday by issuing a security alert for American citizens across all Middle Eastern countries, warning that “Iran and groups supportive of Iran may target other U.S. interests overseas.” The alert cited potential flight cancellations, airspace closures and travel disruptions, reflecting the widening theater of hostilities beyond Yemen’s borders.
The Houthi attacks represent retaliation for Saudi support of Yemen’s U.N.-recognized government, which launched a major offensive last week with Saudi air support. Yemeni Minister of Information Moammar al-Eryani reported Oct. 5 that government forces had seized key positions in Dhubab, adjacent to the strategic Bab el-Mandeb strait through which much of the world’s oil trade transits.
Government forces have recaptured an airstrip at Dhubab and cut off Houthi forces in the area, but fighting remains ongoing. The offensive aims to reclaim territory from the Houthis, who have controlled large portions of northern Yemen since 2014.
Economic and diplomatic repercussions
The attacks come as the Trump administration navigates a complex Middle East landscape ahead of November midterm elections. President Trump ruled out resuming attacks on Iran before the elections, while touting “productive conversations” with Tehran—although he offered no specifics. The president also teased a “big announcement coming up on diesel” as fuel prices surge.
Brent crude oil stood at approximately $103 per barrel Friday, having been driven higher by regional instability. Diesel prices have reached record levels, averaging $6.28 per gallon nationally, up from $3.68 a year ago. The administration recently authorized red-dyed diesel use on highways to lower costs, exempting it from the 24.4-cents-per-gallon federal tax.
Saudi Arabia signed a defense agreement with Turkey and Pakistan on Aug. 7, stipulating that an attack on any signatory constitutes an attack on all three. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan confirmed Thursday that military officials are assessing air defense, electronic warfare and technical support for Saudi Arabia, though he ruled out Turkish participation in offensive operations.
