In Iowa and Washington, two city council meetings opened up with prayers to Satan as if it was a totally normal, non-Hellish occurrence. Leftist Marxists are literally ceding the country to Hell. Remember these blasphemous occurrences when you vote this year – the soul of our nation is at stake.
If you thought your local government was going to Hell, looks like you were right. In Ottumwa, Iowa, a city council meeting was kicked off with a Satanic prayer that was delivered by former council member and current Satanic Temple worshipper Matt Dalbey. A local pastor was horrified by the incident and interrupted the meeting to condemn the blasphemy.
Dalbey started the prayer with “Dear dark father.” He continued by urging the room to “embrace the Luciferian impulse to eat of the tree of knowledge and dissipate our blissful and comforting delusions of old,” to judge people by “concrete actions” rather than “arbitrary social norms,” and to hold “only to that which is demonstrably true. Let us stand firm against any and all arbitrary authority that threatens the personal sovereignty of one or all.”
He closed with the line that caused the room to erupt: “That which will not bend must break, and that which can be destroyed by truth should never be spared its demise. It is done. Hail Satan.”
The Ottumwa Courier reported that Dalbey said in a private message that the prayer is used by The Satanic Temple of Iowa, of which he is a member, though he said it “has nothing to do with the belief in a satanic deity.” What a load of bull crap. Of course, it has to do with worshipping Satan – you just said a prayer to the head demon.
“Yeah, they call themselves Satanist. But, you know, I understand their metaphor there, but that’s no big deal. I like what they stand for,” he said.
As Dalbey left the podium, the council recited the Pledge of Allegiance as if nothing Hellish had just transpired. New Life Center Pastor Rick Bick spoke out of turn to comment on the prayer. It’s shameful he was the only one.
“Let’s just reverse this curse that was put on our city. That ‘Hail Satan’ is not welcome here,” Bick asserted.
Council member Cara Galloway told Bick he should speak during the portion of the meeting designated for citizens to raise concerns. That is typical leftist equivocation.
“It needs to be done now,” the pastor declared. “I appreciate what Ms. Galloway is saying, but that was a curse put on the city. Most of you know that, and we need to just stop and reverse it.”
Mayor Benjamin Foote, who acted like an absolutely spineless simp during the incident, called for a 30-second moment of silence to “reflect on whatever it is we need to reflect on at this time.” Reflect on losing your soul? He’s insane.
Galloway attempted to say that “it was time to move forward,” but Foote overruled her and proceeded with the moment of silence as if that undid the evil committed at the outset of the meeting.
The blasphemous homage to Satan occurred after the city approved its invocation policy in January, which allows any resident to voluntarily deliver a prayer regardless of religious affiliation.
According to the Post Millennial, the policy contends that the invocation is intended to “acknowledge and express the City Council’s respect for the diversity of both organized and unorganized religious denominations, as well as other faiths, belief systems, or the lack thereof, represented and practiced among the citizens of the City of Ottumwa.”
Galloway at least had the sense to criticize the policy.
“Opening with an invocation means allowing viewpoints that may not reflect our own, and responding to someone’s invocation is a slippery slope to putting a financial liability on the taxpayers and allowing for others to object or respond,” she contended. “And this is exactly why I had concerns about having an invocation when we first talked about it, and I think I specifically referenced that having someone from the church of Satan or a prayer about Satan when we talked about that, that this could happen and we would need to allow it.”
“I think we’ve opened ourselves up for others to object or respond to others’ invocations, and we need to remember that we are up here to be neutral,” she said, attempting to cover her own ass over the issue, while, in essence, defending Satanists.
The city released a statement Wednesday afternoon about the prayer, saying, “We’ve been fielding calls all day … some calls have been cordial, while many have been rude and full of profanities.”
“We cannot discriminate against a denomination, and everyone that is invited to perform the invocation has followed the correct protocol,” the city said on its Facebook page. “We are not informed ahead of time what will be said for an invocation nor do we automatically endorse what the speaker is saying. We encourage everyone to review the policy.”
In December of 2023, a Satanic altar was erected in the Iowa Capitol building by members of the Satanic Temple of Iowa. A Christian veteran later destroyed the display.
It Happened Again
In Battle Ground, Washington, the same thing just happened.
At the Battle Ground City Council’s October 5 meeting, a representative associated with The Satanic Temple delivered an opening invocation that rejected traditional religious beliefs and concluded with a declaration praising Satan, according to the Gateway Pundit.
The speaker began, “This invocation today was inspired by the seven tenets, or ethical principles, of The Satanic Temple. Thank you. A non-theistic organization that believes in compassion, empathy, justice, autonomy, freedom of speech, scientifically based beliefs, accountability, and wisdom. Let us begin. Let us never bow our heads or bend the knee in obeisance to any faith from the past that is based on ignorant, bigoted savagery.”
Obviously, that was meant as a swipe at Christianity, not Islam. The devil worshippers are copacetic with Muslims.
She closed with: “Hail Satan, the archetype or symbol of the bringer of knowledge, and hail thyself.”
The Satanism, the Islamic conquest from within, the communist cancer spreading throughout the nation… all of it is connected, and all of it is evil.
