In a 2008 conversation with Klaus Schwab at the World Economic Forum, Bill Gates outlined his vision for the next 15 years, stating that his efforts would largely focus on population control through health interventions. He emphasized that combating infectious diseases and expanding access to healthcare could lead to lower birth rates.
“…And a number of the other ones [diseases], we have things in the pipeline,” Gates said during the discussion. “Which then has this effect of reducing population growth. That’s the big benefit.”
