Globalist-Liberal Tusk Government in Poland Disinvites Hungarian Ambassador, Says PM Orbán Is ‘Not Welcome’

Globalist-Liberal Tusk Government in Poland Disinvites Hungarian Ambassador, Says PM Orbán Is ‘Not Welcome’ in the Gala Ball Launching Warsaw’s Turn at Rotating EU Presidency

Conservative champion, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán is the man the European Union loves to hate.

He has said that the EU is the bad contemporary parody of the Soviet Union’, accused it to try to ‘blackmail’ Hungary, but guaranteed that ‘there is not enough money in the world to force us to accept mass migration and to put our children in the hands of LGBTQ activists’.

Not only that, but he had tough words for the Liberal Polish government of Donald Tusk, saying that Poland’s Government and PM Tusk Were ‘Installed’ by the European Union To Topple the Previous Populist Leadership – And Now Budapest Is the New Target.

So, it’s not very surprising that Poland has decided not to invite Hungary’s ambassador to an event on Friday launching Warsaw’s term in the rotating EU presidency.

This comes after Budapest gave asylum to a former conservative Polish minister who is under investigation over alleged misuse of public funds.

“Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban was also not invited to the ceremony in Warsaw’s Grand Theatre, Deputy Minister for European Affairs Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka said.”

Tusk is furious that Hungary granted political asylum in December to Marcin Romanowski, a Polish former deputy justice minister detained as part of an investigation into ‘misuse of public funds’.

The president of a European rights assembly said Romanowski had immunity as a member of the body, so he was released.

“’When we invited guests to our gala almost a month ago, we invited the entire diplomatic corps’, Sobkowiak-Czarnecka said in televised comments on Friday.

‘But after the situation with minister Romanowski, Minister (of Foreign Affairs) Sikorski decided that the Hungarian ambassador is not a welcome guest in the theatre today’.”

Tusk and Portuguese President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, will give speeches at the ceremony that inaugurates Poland’s rotating presidency of the European Union for the next six months.

Hungary held the presidency during the second half of 2024, and Orbán used the office to try to promote a peace settlement in the War in Ukraine.

Israel To Intensify Gaza Fight If Hamas Doesn't Release Hostages

Israel To Intensify Gaza Fight If Hamas Doesn't Release Hostages
TYLER DURDEN

Amid reports of over 45,000 Palestinians dead following well over a year of fighting in the Gaza Strip, Israel is warning that it is preparing to escalate its offensive against Hamas even more.

Defense Minister Israel Katz issued an ultimatum Wednesday, telling Hamas to immediately release the some 100 hostages that remain or else Israel deal it "blows with a force not seen in Gaza for a long time."

At this point the hostages have been held for more than 450 days, and many of the remaining one hundred are feared dead.

"The IDF will intensify its activities against the terrorist nests in Gaza until the release of the hostages and the elimination of Hamas," Katz warned while touring the southern Israeli city of Netivot.

"I call on Gaza's residents to rise up against the murderous Hamas group, which also uses you as human shields, and to bring about the release of the hostages, to prevent suffering and end the war," Katz said.

Netivot had witnessed a New Year's Day salvo of Hamas rockets fired on it. The defense minister touted Israel's "willingness to make far-reaching compromises in accordance with the principles outlined by the U.S. president."

On Thursday Reuters cited PM Netanyahu's office as saying he has authorized the resumption of negotiations by an Israeli delegation in Doha. "Hostage negotiations are reportedly not stuck and there has been progress," The Jerusalem Post additionally said.

A new Israeli military statement has said that warplanes continue to be engaged in heavy operations over the Gaza Strip. "Air Force aircraft and control rooms are in direct contact with the fighting [ground] forces and support the fighting in the various sectors," a statement said.

The IDF added, "This is an early warning. Terror groups are again firing rockets from this area, which has been warned several times in the past."

Vegas Police Say "Very Strange Similarities" Between Cybertruck Bombing & Bourbon Street Massacre

Vegas Police Say "Very Strange Similarities" Between Cybertruck Bombing & Bourbon Street Massacre
 TYLER DURDEN

Update (1849ET):

The FBI's field office in New Orleans wrote on X, "Newly released surveillance photos show Shamsud- Din Jabbar a little more than an hour before the deadly Bourbon Street attack."

Update (1736ET):

Academy Securities published a note summarizing the views of four retired US generals on the Cybertruck bombing and the New Orleans terrorist attack:

General Spider Marks: "Most importantly, we must acknowledge that terrorism in its many forms (both kinetic and non-kinetic) will never be eliminated or determined irrelevant. As the investigation continues, we'll know more about the motivation of the attack. Regardless, all forms of terrorism require a network of inspiration and support. Where isolation occurs, virtual access to a 'community' of shared interests and beliefs provides a readily available justification for action. There is no 'lone wolf' anymore. More facts to follow, but terrorism still exists."

General John Evans: "It is likely premature to assess motives, motivations, and linkages. However, the 'vehicle as a weapon' TTP (tactics, techniques, and procedures) that we have seen used with devastating effect in Europe (and the US), although not new, now creates yet another attack vector which local, state, and federal law enforcement must plan for at events such as the gathering we saw in New Orleans. Individuals suffering from political or personal disenfranchisement can now leverage the ubiquity of motor vehicles to inflict great harm in virtually any setting, since most security plans only focus on keeping vehicles away from critical nodes or VIPs."

General Robert Ashley: "The intel community will be focused on any reflections on the attack which normally would happen within the first 24-36 hours. Given the domestic nature of the attack, I would expect a joint White House/FBI announcement in the near-term if there is a foreign nexus, otherwise updates will likely remain in law enforcement channels. We become less vigilant with each passing day. Significant calendar events (New Year's) and major public events require greater vigilance, which means increased funding for the security forces that protect all of us daily. Moreover, it will require greater tolerance by the public regarding the associated delays of enhanced force protection. As this unfolds, it will be key to uncover the attacker's network (domestic and/or foreign) and to determine if there are any foreign connections (that include nation state involvement) that may have assisted or motivated the attacker(s)."

General Rick Waddell: "It is too early to say anything decisive, but if news accounts are in any way accurate then: 1) more people than just the driver were involved in NOLA; 2) this terror cell spent time preparing and planting IEDs; and 3) NOLA was changing out its bollards blocking vehicular traffic from Bourbon Street and were months into the project with a targeted completion date before the 2025 Super Bowl, but not before the New Year's celebrations or the Sugar Bowl. In the absence of the bollards, a police vehicle was used to block the entrance to Bourbon Street, but the killer avoided the blocking vehicle by simply driving onto the sidewalk. What is unknown is whether the NOLA event is connected to what now looks like a suicide vehicle bombing outside the Trump Tower in Las Vegas. Both attacks used vehicles that were rented through the app Turo. As Spider points out, terrorism is with us and won't go away. We can harden likely targets, we can put up barriers (like the bollards) before key events, we can increase guard forces for key facilities and key events, and we can use intelligence and law enforcement methods to penetrate terrorist cells."

Update (1518ET):

In Vegas, Clark County Sheriff Kevin McMahill told reporters that the Cybertruck bomber, Matthew Livelsberger, shot himself in the head before the vehicle exploded.

McMahill stated that a handgun was found at Livelsberger's feet. However, this is not definitive evidence about the timing of the death. Remember, the Cybertruck has Full Self-Driving...

LAS VEGAS POLICE: CYBERTRUCK BOMBER WAS SHOT IN THE HEAD

“We also discovered through the coroner's office that the individual had sustained a gunshot wound to the head prior to the detonation of the vehicle. One of the hand guns was found at his feet.”

More headlines from the press conference:

  • LAS VEGAS POLICE: FOUND SEMI-AUTOMATIC WEAPON IN CYBERTRUCK

  • LAS VEGAS POLICE: ALSO FOUND MILITARY ID IN CYBERTRUCK

  • LVMPD: SUBJECT WENT TO SEVERAL PLACES ALONG LAS VEGAS BOULEVARD

  • ATF: GUNS WERE LAWFULLY PURCHASED BY LIVELSBERGER; GUNS WERE PURCHASED ON DEC. 30

  • FBI: NO IDEOLOGY LEADING TO TRUMP, TESLA IN CYBERTRUCK BLAST

Here's where things get interesting...

At an earlier press conference in New Orleans:

  • FBI: NO 'DEFINITIVE LINK' BETWEEN ATTACK IN NOLA AND LAS VEGAS

Now:

  • LAS VEGAS POLICE: 'VERY STRANGE SIMILARITIES' WITH NOLA CASE

It's always after the fact, but a CNN report stated the Department of Homeland Security warned about 'lone wolf' attacks last month.

"Lone offenders have historically used simple tactics, such as edged weapons, firearms, or vehicle ramming, due to their ease of access, ability to inflict mass casualties, and lack of required training," the DHS bulletin read.

According to a federal source close to the counter-terrorism community, another intelligence briefing released last summer indicated that pre-trained al-Qaeda terrorists had entered the US through the Biden-Harris administration's open southern border.

In a recent discussion on the Shawn Ryan Show, former CIA targeting officer Sarah Adams warned of a potentially devastating attack planned by Al-Qaeda terrorists on American soil.

Investigations into the Cybertruck bomber and New Orleans terrorist are only just beginning. More details are coming...

Russian Warships May Start Escorting Shadow Fleet Tankers, Denmark Warns

Russian Warships May Start Escorting Shadow Fleet Tankers, Denmark Warn
 TYLER DURDEN

With NATO on a collision course with a Trump-sized iceberg, its member states are scrambling to escalate conflicts with Russia to ensure the money keeps flowing, and Denmark is certainly doing its part by warning in late December that Russia’s navy may start escorting the so-called shadow fleet tankers through Danish straits to escalate provocations against NATO countries. Of course, Russia has done nothing of the sort, but with Denmark now in control of the narrative, the actual warships will belong to the West and will sail "defensively" in order to provoke Russia into doing just what the West plans on doing.

According to the Danish Defense Intelligence Service, threats against Denmark have become “more serious,” and Russia now has more options to challenge NATO’s members with “a more threatening military behavior." This could include letting Russian warships escort tankers exporting millions of barrels of Moscow’s petroleum through the Baltic Sea, on which Russia, naturally, has numerous ports, and so Denmark's "warning" is about as serious as saying the US may deploy more jack ups in the Gulf of Mexico.

“If this happens, it will increase the level of tension,” the agency said, not saying that an increase in the level of tension is precisely what the agency wants.

Ironically, all this takes place years after Europe intentionally turned a blind eye to smuggled Russian oil, well aware that if said oil was taken away fully from the market, crude prices would soar, which in a world riddled with inflation is not acceptable.

Twelve Northern European nations including Denmark earlier this week announced they would introduce checks on insurance policies of passing Russian tankers. This could be followed up with more tangible actions for ships falling short with their cover.

Denmark will play a crucial role in the implementation of those checks, as its narrow straits are a critical trade artery through which Russian oil has flowed largely unrestrained since the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine, helping fund President Vladimir Putin’s war economy.

Russia is also expected to display more risky behavior toward civil shipping and aviation, Denmark’s foreign intelligence service said. Its toolkit is likely to include military exercise activities near NATO territory, as well as jamming in large geographical areas “without regard to ships’ and aircraft’s communications and GPS signals,” according to the report.

A more threatening behavior toward Denmark’s and other NATO countries’ military aircraft and ships similarly “poses a risk of misunderstandings and minor collisions both in the Baltic Sea and in the Arctic,” it said.

Israel kills Hamas police chief; DM Katz threatens more strikes if Hamas won’t release hostages

Israel kills Hamas police chief; DM Katz threatens more strikes if Hamas won’t release hostages

An Israeli airstrike on Thursday morning killed Hamas' police chief in Gaza's humanitarian zone, as fighting in the enclave continues and ceasefire negotiations appear to have stalled once again.

Palestinian sources said the strike killed 10 people, including several children, as well as the commander of Hamas’ police force, Mahmoud Salah, and Hussam Shahwan, another high-ranking police officer.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) later confirmed the killing of Shahwan, who served as head of Hamas' internal security in the southern part of the strip.

"The internal security mechanism of the terrorist organization Hamas has carried out violent investigations against the residents of the Gaza Strip, while seriously infringing on human rights and oppressing the organization's opponents," the IDF stated.

"The terrorist Shahwan was entrusted with creating an intelligence image aimed against the activities of our forces in the Gaza Strip, together with other bodies of the military arm of the terrorist organization Hamas."

The strike came after negotiations over a ceasefire deal to include the release of the remaining 100 Israeli hostages reached another dead end. Hamas began the new year by launching rockets at the town of Netivot, a relatively large distance compared to its attacks in recent months, most of which targeted areas near Gaza.

During a visit to the town following the attack, which caused no injuries or damage, Defense Minister Israel Katz pledged to escalate airstrikes and military operations in Gaza unless Hamas agrees to release the hostages.

Israel will deal Hamas “blows with a force not seen in Gaza for a long time,” he said.

“The IDF will intensify its activities against the terrorist nests in Gaza until the release of the hostages and the elimination of Hamas,” Katz declared, calling “on Gaza’s residents to rise up against the murderous Hamas group, which also uses you as human shields, and to bring about the release of the hostages, to prevent suffering and end the war.”

The defense minister added that Israel was prepared for “far-reaching compromises” to reach a hostage deal.

10 Questions We Should All Be Asking About The New Year's Day Terror Attacks

10 Questions We Should All Be Asking About The New Year's Day Terror Attacks

TYLER DURDEN

While we are slowly getting some answers from law enforcement today, there are still a number of bigger picture questions that need to be addressed.

As Michael Snyder highlights, via The Economic Collapse blog, our “new” golden era of “peace and safety” has been very rudely interrupted by the “old” problem of Islamic terror.

Of course the truth is that it is a problem that never went away.

There were dozens of major terror attacks in 2024, but most of the population is not going to pay attention unless something happens within our own borders.  Sadly, everyone is paying attention now.

Very early on New Year’s Day, a 42-year-old nut named Shamsud-Din Jabbar rammed a truck into a large crowd on Bourbon Street in New Orleans.  We are being told that 15 people are dead and dozens more are injured

A man intentionally drove a pickup truck into a crowd of revelers on Bourbon Street in New Orleans’ French Quarter early on New Year’s Day, killing at least 15 people and injuring dozens of others, officials said.

A black ISIS flag was flying from the truck’s rear bumper, and the attack is being investigated as an act of terrorism, the Federal Bureau of Investigation said.

The man driving the vehicle has been identified as Shamsud-Din Jabbar, 42, a U.S. citizen from Texas, the FBI said.

So was this the end, or is this just the beginning?

The following are 10 questions that we should all be asking about the chaotic New Year’s Day terror attacks…

#1 Why did an FBI special agent initially tell us that the attack in New Orleans “was not a terrorist event”?  Something about all this does not smell right

Multiple sources are reporting that the attacker in the deadly New Orleans attack that killed 10 people and injured dozens more was carrying an ISIS flag at the time of the attack, leading many to question how and why an FBI special agent confidently declared that the attack was “not a terrorist event” early on in the investigation.

Witnesses indicated that the attacker was flying a “large black flag” from his truck at the time of the attack, which would be consistent with a description of the ISIS flag. The FBI has since confirmed that the flag was, indeed, an ISIS flag, leading many to harshly criticize the FBI’s initial response to the attack, which flatly denied any connection to terrorism.

#2 What happened to the other “potential IEDs” that law enforcement found in the French Quarter?  The following is an excerpt from an official statement by the FBI…

Weapons and a potential IED were located in the subject’s vehicle. Other potential IEDs were also located in the French Quarter. The FBI’s special agent bomb technicians are working with our law enforcement partners to determine if any of these devices are viable, and they will work to render those devices safe.

#3 Shamsud-Din Jabbar had threatened to kill his own family before joining ISIS with the intention of committing terrorism on U.S. soil.  Did law enforcement know about any of this beforehand?  If so, why was nothing done?…

In a series of videos, the suspect in the deadly New Year’s attack in New Orleans discussed planning to kill his family and having dreams that helped inspire him to join ISIS, according to multiple officials briefed on the investigation.

Shamsud-Din Jabbar, the 42-year-old man who police suspect drove a pickup truck into a crowd of revelers on Bourbon Street, killing at least 15 people and injuring dozens more, made the chilling recordings while driving from his home in Texas to Louisiana, authorities believe.

Jabbar, a US citizen and Army veteran who served in Afghanistan, made reference in the videos to his divorce and how he had at first planned to gather his family for a “celebration” with the intention of killing them, two officials who had been briefed on the recordings said. But Jabbar said in the videos that he changed his plans and joined ISIS, and referenced several dreams that he had about why he should be joining the terrorist group, according to the officials.

#4 Did Shamsud-Din Jabbar act alone?  From the evidence that we have at this hour, it appears that he probably was not

From the first news of the attack, Islamic State websites have been echoing with sick celebrations of the attack. This alone suggests that it was not the work of a lone wolf claiming to be an agent of IS, but was in fact organised from abroad by its underground HQ in the Middle East.

The fact that investigators found guns and concealed pipe bombs wired for remote detonation – as well as a corresponding remote control device inside the truck – was enough for the FBI to declare it does not believe the driver was acting alone.

#5 A Tesla Cybertruck exploded in front of Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas on Wednesday morning.  Was this attack linked to the attack in New Orleans?…

A Tesla Cybertruck burst into flames Wednesday morning just outside the entrance of Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, killing one person and injuring several other people, local officials said.

The explosion is now being investigated as a possible terrorist attack, three senior members of law enforcement briefed on the matter told NBC News. A motive has yet to be established.

#6 Who made the “makeshift explosives” that caused the Tesla Cybertruck to explode?…

Police have released a series of photographs from inside the Cybertruck which blew up outside Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, revealing an arsenal of makeshift explosives.

The driver of the Elon Musk-owned Tesla Cybertruck, who has not yet been formally identified, died in the explosion and seven members of the public were injured.

Charred fireworks, gas cannisters and camping fuel were found in the bed of the truck when authorities were finally able to put out the fire.

#7 The Ford truck used in the New Orleans attack and the Cybertruck used in the Las Vegas attack were both rented from Turo.  Is this an important clue?

Musk claimed the Cybertruck and the Ford used in the New Orleans attack had both been rented by the same company.

He posted on his X platform: “Appears likely to be an act of terrorism.

“Both this Cybertruck and the F-150 suicide bomb in New Orleans were rented from Turo. Perhaps they are linked in some way.”

US Establishing New Military Base In Aleppo Province

US Establishing New Military Base In Aleppo Province
 TYLER DURDEN

Following the December 8 overthrow of Bashar al-Assad amid the rapid takeover of Syria by al-Qaeda splinter group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), the big question for the incoming Trump administration in the US will be whether to finally pull American forces from Syria, after they've been there for a half-decade.

For now it seems US troops are not only maintaining their bases in the northeast, where Syria's oil and gas fields are located, but are actually expanding the Pentagon presence, and very close to the border with Turkey.

On Thursday the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), which has long been known as an anti-Assad opposition outlet in exile, said that US forces are making preparations to establish a new military base in the northern city of Ain Al-Arab, or Kobani.

The outlet cited its observers on the ground who say US forces brought in a convoy of 50 trucks carrying cement blocks to areas of northeast Syria controlled by the US proxy Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF, a group largely dominated by Syrian Kurds).

Ain Al-Arab is a district of Aleppo province in northern Syria. The area around Aleppo saw sporadic fighting between Syrian Kurds and HTS jihadists throughout December.

"SOHR activists have reported seeing the convoy on Al-Hasakah-Al-Raqqah highway, while it was heading to Ain Al-Arab area (Kobani) in the eastern countryside of Aleppo," the report described, and noted that a SDF military vehicle was providing escort.

"According to SOHR sources, this comes as a part of US forces’ efforts to boost their bases and establish a new military base in Ain Al-Arab in light of the growing security and military tension in that region." Russia's Sputnik is also reporting the development.

Trump to Withdraw from World Health Organization?

Trump to Withdraw from World Health Organization

The World Health Organization (WHO) is a globalist entity forcefully pushing members into a One World Government under the premise of health. The members of the organization are unelected, and yet, they have proposed countless measures that dictate how the people of the world should live such as global taxation measures. Donald Trump has promised to remove America from this corrupt alliance.

The World Health Organization (WHO) was defunded by Ronald Reagan, restored, defunded by President Trump, and then refunded again by President Biden, assuming he even knew what he was signing. Here is their April 12, 2022 proposal for revising their power. Note that they are grabbing more power to set the stage for what these people hope will be the new one-world government under the United Nations.

Now let’s look at the text revision that expands the power of the WHO, which of course will be UNELECTED, eliminating any democratic process. The text in bold is the amendment to the original text, and you can see what is being crossed out. The highlighted text illustrates that the UNELECTED director of the WHO, a person typically selected by the World Economic Forum, will have the power in case of a health emergency (which they declare) to consult (or not) under Article 49 to “seek the views of the Emergency Committee.” Article 49 then describes the procedures the Director-General should take when a health emergency occurs.

Clearly, this is intended to expand the powers of the Director-General approved by a simple majority of the 194 member countries. That means the majority can grant power over nations that resist such dictatorial power. These amendments would enter into force as international law just six months later, and they clearly would violate the United States Constitution. So, where would you have standing even to object? If this works as they typically use law, they get to do whatever they want, and it is our burden to argue in court that they violate our sovereign Constitutional rights.

Xi uses New Year’s speech to call anew for reunification with Taiwan

Xi uses New Year’s speech to call anew for reunification with Taiwan, set stage for Trump 2.0 era

Chinese President Xi Jinping used a New Year’s Eve address to call anew for Taiwan to be reunited with his communist country, setting the stage for a tougher era of U.S. diplomatic relations as Donald Trump prepares to return to office.

“The people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait are one family,” Xi said Tuesday, hitting the theme for a second straight holiday address broadcast on the state-controlled CCTV. “No one can sever our family bonds, and no one can stop the historical trend of national reunification.”

Beijing has ramped up military activity around Taiwan, including large-scale exercises shortly before Christmas. Those menacing operations included Chinese aircraft entering the island nation’s air defense identification zone shortly beore Xi spoke on Tuesday.

In October, Xi told the 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party that he preferred a peaceful reunification with Taiwan but added that China “will never promise to give up the use of force and reserve the option to take all necessary measures.”

Taiwan’s new president responded Wednesday to Xi’ address, saying his island wishes to have peaceful relations with China but questioning why Beijing has blocked tourism between the two.

“Is this really showing goodwill towards Taiwan? Can’t they treat everyone equally?” President President Lai Ching-te told reporters.

“But I still want to stress this: Taiwan hopes to have healthy and orderly exchanges with China under the principles of reciprocity and dignity,” Lai added.

As Trump prepares to return to office, Taiwan dispatched two senior members of it National Security Council to meet with his team in the United States.

The president-elect has urged Taiwan to spend more on its defense security in the face of Chinese provocation.

Leading Public Health Figure Calls on Biden to Authorize Bird Flu Vaccine

Leading Public Health Figure Calls on Biden to Authorize Bird Flu Vaccine

A leading public health figure has called on the Biden administration to authorize a bird flu vaccine and ramp up testing for the virus across the U.S.

During a Dec. 29, 2024, interview on CBS News’ “Face the Nation,” Dr. Leana Wen, the former commissioner of the Baltimore City Health Department and a professor of public health at George Washington University, accused the outgoing Biden administration of not doing enough to address the bird flu outbreak.

“I feel like we should have learned our lesson from COVID that just because we aren’t testing, it doesn’t mean that the virus isn’t there. It just means that we aren’t looking for it. We should be having rapid tests, home tests, available to all farm workers, to their families, for the clinicians taking care of them,” Wen said.

There have been 66 confirmed bird flu cases in the U.S., all but one of which caused only mild illness. The first severe human infection in the U.S. was recorded on Dec. 18, in a Louisiana man over the age of 65 who was exposed to a backyard flock, NBC News reported. According to The New York Times, bird flu samples from the patient revealed “concerning” mutations of the virus.

During her appearance on “Face the Nation,” Wen criticized the lack of availability of a bird flu vaccine.

“There actually is a vaccine developed already against H5N1. The Biden administration has contracted with manufacturers to make almost 5 million doses of the vaccine. However, they have not asked the FDA [U.S. Food and Drug Administration] to authorize the vaccine,” Wen said.

She suggested the Biden administration take quick action to approve the vaccine before the Trump administration takes office later this month.

“They could get this authorized now, and also get the vaccine out … to farm workers and to vulnerable people. I think that’s the right approach, because we don’t know what the Trump administration is going to be doing around bird flu,” Wen said.

Wen suggested the Trump administration would seek additional evidence of the vaccine’s effectiveness before authorizing it.

“I don’t want to wait for the Trump administration to potentially hold up the vaccines saying that they want more evidence. Look, evidence is always good and facts are always good. New research is always good. But you also have to weigh that against a potential catastrophe, as we could be having for bird flu, the way that we had for COVID,” Wen said.

Wen suggested the potential confirmation of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, might pose obstacles to the authorization of a bird flu vaccine. She said:

“Kennedy has espoused many views in the past that are anti-vaccine. In fact, he’s been one of the leading anti-vaccine advocates in the country, if not in the world, over the last couple of decades. He’s also someone who has made his career from being an activist and not a scientist. …

“… it’s very concerning to have someone who doesn’t believe in how science works, in basic scientific principles, to be in charge of our nation’s preeminent scientific and medical agencies.”

Wen previously was an outspoken advocate of COVID-19 vaccines and restrictions.

In a July 2021 NPR interview, she expressed her hope that the Biden administration “at this point really gets behind vaccine mandates,” adding that the government “ended masking requirements too abruptly and prematurely.”

In March 2023, Wen told CNN that COVID-19 “misinformation” led to declining public trust in medical science. As recently as September 2024, Wen advised the public to get COVID-19 boosters.

Wen’s remarks mirrored those of other public health experts. Dr. Deborah Birx, the White House coronavirus response coordinator under then-President Donald Trump, told CNN last week, “We kind of have our head in the sand about how widespread this is from the zoonotic standpoint, from the animal-to-human standpoint.”

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said this week that bird flu poses a low risk to the public. But CNN on Tuesday reported that officials from the National Institutes of Health have called for more action to combat bird flu.

Last month, California declared a state of emergency for bird flu, after cases were detected in dairy cows on farms in Southern California.

Epidemiologist Nicholas Hulscher told The Defender the bird flu vaccine that’s been developed poses a greater risk to the public than the virus itself.

“The bird flu vaccine that Dr. Wen wants approved for humans is called AUDENZ, made by CSL Seqirus. Humans injected with AUDENZ died at a rate of 1 in 200 (0.5%) compared to 0.1% in the placebo group, in one of the clinical trials (Study 3),” Hulscher said.

The AUDENZ vaccine doesn’t cover the current circulating strain of bird flu, “meaning it would likely be highly ineffective and promote the emergence of mutant strains,” Hulscher said. “This injection must not be authorized for human use.”

Cybertruck Bomber And New Orleans Terrorist Were Both Military Veterans Who Served At The Same Base

Cybertruck Bomber And New Orleans Terrorist Were Both Military Veterans Who Served At The Same Base

The now-deceased man responsible for Wednesday’s Cybertruck explosion in front of the Las Vegas-based Trump Hotel was a U.S. Army Green Beret who was previously deployed to Afghanistan twice, according to The Associated Press

The man also reportedly served at the same base as the New Orleans (NOLA) New Year’s Day terrorist, who drove a rented truck with an ISIS flag through a crowd of people in the early hours of the morning. Additionally, both him and the NOLA terrorist utilized the same company to rent their vehicles.

37-year-old Matthew Livelsberger had parked his rented Cybertruck in front of Trump’s Las Vegas hotel.

The vehicle was full of firework-like explosives, eventually going off and injuring seven bystanders near the blast in addition to killing Livelsberger. Metropolitan Police Department Sheriff Kevin McMahill explained that he was found dead inside the vehicle with a “self-inflicted gunshot wound” to the head, with the handgun found at his feet.

Livelsberger reportedly served in the Army since 2006, rising up the ranks through multiple deployments until he was able to serve in the Green Berets, a highly trained special forces unit working to combat terrorism.

The former Green Beret was also awarded two Bronze Stars, along with a valor device for courage under fire, a combat infantry badge, and an Army Commendation Medal with valor.

The FBI stated that it was “conducting law enforcement activity at a residential address in Colorado Springs,” adding that the activity “is related to the explosion in Las Vegas on Wednesday; due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, no further information will be provided out of Denver.”

Livelsberger’s time in the military saw him working closely with critical intelligence capabilities in the special forces, allowing him access to highly sensitive military information. He was most recently stationed at Camp Panzer Kaserne in Germany, where he served as a remote and autonomous systems manager responsible for “operations, maintenance and integration” of drones for the Army.

Meanwhile, Livelsberger has now been linked to Shamsud-Din Jabbar, the radicalized terrorist and former Army veteran who killed at least 15 people on New Year’s Day after ramming his truck into a crowd of people on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. Both men rented the vehicles they used to commit their attacks from “Turo,” a vehicle rental company, simultaneously attacking within a few hours of each other.

Both men also served at Fort Bragg, now known as Fort Liberty.

Another strange “coincidence” is that Jabbar and Livelsberger also both reportedly lived in North Carolina at the same time, according to the New York Post.
