Belarus President Seeks Authorization To Send Military Abroad - Why? (Updated)

URGENT ***** FLASH ***** Belarus

President Aleksandr Lukashenko has just sought authorization from the All-Belarusian People's Assembly, the power to send military abroad.

President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, did the same thing in Russia two days before invasion on Ukraine.

Does this mean Belarus is entering the Ukraine situation?   Or is Belarus going to do something . . .  else?   Like with Poland, or the Suwalki Gap in Lithuania?

This is an extremely unexpected, and VERY serious development in eastern Europe

UPDATED 8:45 PM EDT --

At the time this story was published at 8:03 PM EDT on Saturday evening, the time in Minsk, Belarus, was 03:03 AM over there.

This action by the President of Belarus had taken place THREE HOURS EARLIER, at about MIDNIGHT local time in Minsk, Belarus.

What is it that's going on, or what is it they found out, that required the President of Belarus to make this emergency request at Midnight on a Saturday night into Sunday?

Something serious is going on . . . . or . . . . something wicked this way comes.
