Turkey's continued financial support for Hamas and its provision of safe haven to Hamas terrorists only adds to Israel's view of Turkey as a hostile actor, an attitude that is not helped by Erdogan's constant use of anti-Israel rhetoric in political campaigning and official communications. In June, for example, Turkey's interior minister called for the "liberation of Jerusalem."
Israel's intelligence establishment, though, presented the US with evidence that Erdogan has other ambitions, which include expanding and solidifying Turkey's military presence at Syrian bases previously used by the Assad regime's Iranian and Russian allies.
In addition, Erdogan has stated that "Jerusalem is ours," and as recently as March 30, 2025, "May the Lord make Zionist Israel destroyed and devastated."
Erdogan published a 758-page document that outlines his long-term phased plan to take over "Israel, the Middle East and the Free world."
Amichai Chikli, Israel's Minister of Diaspora Affairs, said, "Ahmed al-Sharaa's military is Erdoğan's military. Al-Sharaa's ideology is Erdoğan's ideology. Erdoğan and al-Sharaa's ideology is Al Qaeda and ISIS ideology," and cited what he described as their barbaric treatment of non-Muslim minorities in the region.

Amid deepening tensions between Turkey and Israel over Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's attempts to extend his influence over Syria, Israel's decision to strike a Syrian air base on the outskirts of Idlib is designed to send a clear signal to the Turkish leader to rein in his ambitions.
Since the overthrow of Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad in December 2024, Syria has increasingly become the focus of the deepening hostility between Israel and Turkey.
In particular, Israel has become increasingly concerned about Erdogan's attempts to expand his influence in neighbouring Syria, where he played a key role in helping the country's new Islamist president, Ahmed al-Sharaa, to overthrow the Assad regime and seize power in December 2024.
Despite repeated Israeli warnings, Erdogan has taken little notice of Israel's concerns, and has continued to expand Turkey's presence into northern Syria, ostensibly to counter the efforts of Kurdish separatists to establish their own autonomous state.
Israel's intelligence establishment, though, presented the US with evidence that Erdogan has other ambitions, which include expanding and solidifying Turkey's military presence at Syrian bases previously used by the Assad regime's Iranian and Russian allies.
It is significant, therefore, that the Israeli airstrikes launched against a Syrian air base in the northern city of Idlib on August 18 took place just hours after a visit by a Turkish delegation to the base. The Turkish officials appear to have been undertaking a reconnaissance mission of the base to assess its suitability for use by the Turkish military.
Syria's state-run Ekhbariya television, citing a military source, reported that Israel had carried out eight air strikes on the runway and storage facilities at the Abu al-Duhur base in northwest Syria.
The attacks, which were seen as a warning sign to Turkey to stop its military expansion in Syria, drew a sharp response from the Trump administration, which has emerged as a surprise supporter of the new jihadist Syrian regime, and criticised what it called an "unnecessary escalation."
A statement subsequently issued by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the aim of the attack was to stop Turkish military forces from deploying at the base. The statement said Israel and Syria had "agreed to a status quo in security matters" but that Damascus was "on the verge of breaching" the agreement by allowing Turkish troops to deploy at the airbase.
Israel had "repeatedly warned Syria" of the risk, the statement said, but "Syria chose to ignore these warnings."
Turkey dismissed the allegations as "frivolous".
The airstrikes nevertheless highlight the mounting concern within Israeli intelligence circles over Erdogan's expansionist designs in Syria.
Erdogan is one of the Middle East's most enthusiastic supporters of the extreme Islamist Muslim Brotherhood movement, as well as Islamist terror groups such as Hamas, among others. The Turkish leader was instrumental in helping Syria's jihadist Hayat Tahrir al-Sham organisation seize power in Damascus under the leadership of al-Sharaa, who previously had close affiliations with Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda organisation.
Israeli intelligence officials have become increasingly uneasy about Erdogan's plans to expand and entrench Turkey's presence in the country.
Turkish forces currently occupy about 5,000 square kilometres of territory in northern Syria. Turkey has also reportedly taken control of Syrian military and naval bases previously used by Iran and Russia under the Assad regime, at a time when Moscow and Tehran were close allies of Damascus.

Russia ‘Doomsday Radio’ erupts with coded messages after CIA chief’s Moscow visit
Russia’s shadowy shortwave station known as UVB-76, long nicknamed the “Doomsday Radio,” erupted with an unusual burst of coded transmissions in the hours after CIA Director John Ratcliffe’s discreet trip to Moscow, according to a report from Ynet News. The activity has intensified questions about what message, if any, Moscow intended to send as Western capitals watched the visit with growing unease.
Ratcliffe’s appearance in the Russian capital this week unsettled U.S. allies already wary of any thaw between President Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin. Trump rejected a Wall Street Journal account that the CIA chief had cautioned Russian counterparts against striking NATO.
Politico reported instead that Ratcliffe pressed Moscow to scale back its military and economic backing for Iran. Whether the talks produced any shift in Russian policy remains unclear.
What followed the visit, however, was unmistakable. The Soviet-era station that has hummed on 4,625 kilohertz since the 1970s broke its trademark monotonous buzz at least 25 times on Thursday, roughly a day after Ratcliffe’s meetings.
The interruptions carried spoken Russian words, numbers and letter combinations. Among the phrases reportedly heard were “waitress,” “spray” and “existence,” according to The Moscow Times. Kremlin-linked outlets themselves noted the spike.
The last comparable surge occurred on February 12, 2025, the day Trump and Putin held their first conversation after Trump returned to the White House. Western intelligence services have monitored the station for years, viewing it as a possible channel for military units or intelligence operatives. Its official purpose has never been disclosed.
Ratcliffe met with Foreign Intelligence Service chief Sergei Naryshkin. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed Putin did not join the talks. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov later dismissed surprise at the quiet contacts.
“The non-public nature of interaction between intelligence agencies, which traditionally work ‘quietly,’ should not be surprising,” Lavrov said. “There are rules according to which intelligence agencies interact, and there is nothing surprising about that.”
Moscow simultaneously sharpened its language toward Britain. Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova warned that Russian forces could target British military sites because of London’s support for Ukraine. “Any British military facility and equipment in Ukraine and beyond may become a target for retaliatory strikes over Ukrainian attacks using British weapons on Russian territory,” she said.
The developments have stirred particular alarm in the Baltic states. Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics sought to steady public nerves, stating that the immediate military threat assessment had not changed. “At present, the risk of a direct Russian invasion remains low. What is possible are various acts of sabotage, cyberattacks and hybrid operations,” he wrote.
The combination of a high-level CIA visit, renewed threats against a NATO member and the sudden awakening of a Cold War-era radio station has left Western governments reading every signal with heightened caution.
Washington moves to sever key Iranian lifeline by cutting Emirati bank off US financial system
Treasury said the bank processed funds for 103 companies between January 2024 and June 2026, including apparent front companies linked to Iran’s Defense Ministry and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
“We warned that Iran’s enablers cannot continue to enjoy access to the US dollar and the global financial system,” Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said.
In a separate move, the Treasury Department sanctioned Reza Mohammad Taeedi, the head of Bank Melli’s Dubai branch, as well as Hong Kong-based Kameng Trading Limited over alleged involvement in Iranian sanctions evasion.
The measures were announced under Operation Economic Outcast, a campaign launched earlier this week aimed at cutting off Iran’s remaining financial channels. The proposed restrictions apply only to Banque Misr’s UAE operations.
Gang Attack on Haiti Church Leaves 47 Dead, Dozens Kidnapped

At least 47 people were killed and more than 50 others were kidnapped after armed gangs stormed the hilltop community of Kenscoff, near Haiti’s capital, in one of the latest brutal attacks to shake the country’s collapsing security landscape.
The assault, carried out during the night of August 23–24, targeted homes and a church compound where displaced residents had reportedly taken shelter. U.N. officials said 22 of the victims were executed inside the church compound, underscoring the growing danger faced by civilians seeking refuge from Haiti’s gang violence.
Christian Post, citing Catholic missionary news agency Agenzia Fides, reported that the buildings burned in the attack included a worship center connected to the evangelical Church of the Ark of the New Covenant. The church had reportedly been sheltering people forced from their homes by earlier violence.
Residents said gangs also burned homes, vehicles, and animals during the raid. The attack prompted anger in Kenscoff, where locals accused police of failing to protect the community even as the violence unfolded near security positions.
Haiti’s government condemned the massacre and said reinforcements were being sent to support local police. But the killings have deepened fears that gangs remain able to strike with little resistance, even in areas that had seen temporary reductions in violence earlier this year.
The massacre comes as Haiti continues to face a widening humanitarian and security crisis, with armed groups controlling large parts of Port-au-Prince and surrounding areas. For Christians in Haiti, the attack is another painful reminder that churches have become both places of refuge and targets in a nation desperate for order, protection, and peace.
Tokenization: Turning Life Itself into a Tradeable Chip
The facts are out there for all to see. I wrote about the tokenization of nature in my article “From Blockchain to Ball and Chain: Are We Being Borged?” [1] This article will deal primarily with the tokenization of the world’s water supply.
For those who do not understand tokenization, here is a short and simple explanation: Tokenization means turning something real, like a share of water rights, a measured volume of water from a river or aquifer, or even credits for water that was “saved” or recycled, into a digital token (a unique digital certificate) that lives on a blockchain.
A blockchain is simply a shared digital notebook that many computers keep identical copies of at the same time, so the records of who owns what cannot be secretly changed by any one person or company.
That token can then be bought, sold, or traded on markets the same way people trade stocks or other assets. Instead of water simply belonging to the land, the local community, or the people who rely on it, it becomes a financial product that large investors, corporations, and institutions can own fractions of and exchange for profit. The right to use, claim, offset, or trade that water becomes the commodity.
Offset means making up for the water you use by helping save or restore the same amount somewhere else. A farmer switches to drip irrigation, a project restores a wetland, or a company reuses treated wastewater. That saved or restored water is measured and turned into credit. You buy or claim the credit. On paper your water use is balanced.
How dare they make money off this corrupt plan to steal, control, measure and meter the world’s water supply. Yes, I sound like Greta. The irony is thick: the same girl who made “How dare you” famous has been thoroughly programmed to cheer for Agenda 2030 and the very control grid she should be screaming against. Since she refuses to use her catchphrase where it actually belongs, then I will.
Water is the foundation of life itself. Every human, every animal, every plant depends on it. Yet the same elites who lecture the public about scarcity and climate are building the machinery to turn every last drop into a tradable asset they can profit from while ordinary people face rationing and surveillance.
This is exactly the process already described and promoted in official reports. Goldman Sachs itself published “Securing and Financing the Future of Water” in 2026, openly stating that tokenization can turn water rights into traceable tokens that track use across markets and deliver credits for companies that conserve or recycle water through connections to flow meters.
