The First Battlefield In A Cultural Revolution:

The First Battlefield In A Cultural Revolution: Marxists Have Long Understood That Redefining Words Can Reshape The Culture

Political movements have long understood that language shapes culture. From the French Revolution to Marxist movements in Europe and Communist regimes in Asia, ideological leaders have sought to advance their agendas not only through political power but through linguistic change.

By redefining familiar terms, elevating preferred expressions, and marginalizing traditional language, they have attempted to reshape public understanding of reality itself. As George Orwell famously observed, the corruption of language often precedes the corruption of thought.

The latest example of the cultural Marxism that has infested blue states like New York is a bill awaiting Governor Kathy Hochul’s (D) signature — S.9316. Supporters describe it as a measure making technical revisions to New York family law. But it does far more than that. It raises a fundamental question: What happens when ideology replaces reality?

The bill is officially described as substituting “parentage” for “paternity and filiation” throughout state law. But among its most significant changes are the replacement of “mother” with “gestating parent” and “father” with “non-gestating parent.” For now, its focus is limited to state statutes, not greeting cards, so the Father’s Day card you purchased remains safe, for now.

If Governor Hochul signs the legislation, a number of gender-specific parental terms would be replaced with what supporters call gender-neutral language. Among the changes:

• “Mother” would become “gestating parent”
• “Father” would become “non-gestating parent” or simply “parent.”
• “Paternity” proceedings would become “parentage” proceedings.
• “Putative father” would become “alleged parent.”

As history repeatedly demonstrates, language matters. The question is not whether words shape culture; the question is who gets to define the words. Is replacing mother and father with “gestating parent” and “non-gestating parent” merely a technical modernization of legal terminology, or is it another step in the Left’s effort to further erase our understanding of God’s design for mankind?

The cultural Marxists of our day understand what revolutionaries throughout history have understood: if you can redefine words, you can reshape thought; if you can reshape thought, you can reshape culture. That is why language is always one of the first battlefields in a cultural revolution. And that is why motherhood and fatherhood must be replaced with sterile, mechanistic terms that strip away both meaning and design.

Ultimately, this is not an attack on words. It is an attack on one of the last great bulwarks standing in the way of their vision for society: the family as God created it. The cultural Marxists of our day are paving the way for their political agenda by weakening one of the primary institutions established by God for human flourishing. When a culture can no longer speak truthfully about mothers and fathers, it is well on its way to forgetting what they are.

Trump says Iran deal to be signed tomorrow, Hormuz to open 'immediately after'

US President Donald Trump said on Saturday that a deal with Iran is set to be signed on Sunday and that the Strait of Hormuz will immediately open following the signing, according to a Truth Social post.

"The Deal is scheduled to get signed tomorrow, and immediately after it is signed, the Hormuz Strait is OPEN TO ALL," wrote Trump.

Trump emphasized that the deal was significantly different than that of the Obama administration, which he described as "an easy, beautiful, smooth road to a Nuclear Weapon, which Iran would have had six years ago, and would have used long before now."

"My Agreement with Iran is the exact opposite, A WALL TO NO NUCLEAR WEAPON!" said Trump. "In fact, they no longer want a Nuclear Weapon, nor will they have one, either through purchase, development, or any other form of procurement."

He added that "no money will exchange hands," attempting to further differentiate the deal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), with Trump accusing then-president Barack Obama of paying "Hundreds of Billions of Dollars" to Iran, "including 1.7 Billion Dollars in green, cold cash."

"We look forward to working with Iran, and the entire Middle East, long into the future," continued Trump. "Hopefully, this process will all work out quickly, easily, and smoothly. If it doesn’t, we have the ultimate alternative, hopefully never to be used again!"

Opposition leader Yair Lapid condemned the potential deal, calling it a complete failure from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

"He is turning us into a client state that takes orders about its national security," he criticized. "No press conference, no media spin, no AI video will hide the failure. The next government will have a historic role: to repair the damage caused by Netanyahu’s inability to turn military achievements into strategic successes."

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said earlier on Saturday that the US and Iran have agreed to a framework for a peace deal to end the months-long conflict in the Middle East, with the final text of the deal reached.

Pakistan is now preparing for an electronic signing expected within the next 24 hours, followed by technical-level talks next week, Sharif added.

IDF says over 70 Hezbollah sites hit as troops advance near south Lebanon’s Nabatieh

IDF says over 70 Hezbollah sites hit as troops advance near south Lebanon’s Nabatieh

The Israel Defense Forces on Saturday said it struck over 70 Hezbollah sites in southern Lebanon, targeting rocket launchers and buildings allegedly used by the terror group to advance attacks, after the army issued evacuation warnings for over 20 locations.

The military added that it killed several Hezbollah operatives identified in areas of southern Lebanon where troops were operating.

Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) reported airstrikes in several areas covered by the evacuation warnings, including the villages of Rihan and Sujud, located not far from the city of Nabatieh, which is considered to be a Hezbollah stronghold.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese army said one of its soldiers was seriously wounded in an Israeli drone strike in southern Lebanon.

According to the Lebanese Armed Forces, the soldier was first targeted near a hospital in Nabatieh, without being injured.

He was then targeted again on a road between Kfar Roummane and Nabatieh, “resulting in him sustaining serious injuries,” the LAF said.

There was no immediate comment from the IDF.

The Lebanese army withdrew from its positions in the southern town of Kfar Tebnit, close to Nabatieh, as the IDF advanced in the area, according to Lebanese media.

Footage published by Lebanese media shows armored vehicles of the LAF driving away from Kfar Tebnit on the outskirts of Nabatieh.

In a separate statement, the IDF said that seven Hezbollah operatives who were operating out of a tunnel in southern Lebanon were killed in strikes this week.

According to the military, reservists of the 551st Paratroopers Brigade spotted two cells of Hezbollah gunmen emerging from the tunnel, which was used by Hezbollah to store weapons and to carry out attacks.

The operatives were killed in airstrikes, artillery shelling, and by explosive drones, the army said, adding that troops found weapons and equipment near the tunnel afterward.

Separately, the IDF said troops were continuing to scan a massive Hezbollah tunnel system near the Beaufort Castle. In one of the tunnel routes, where several Hezbollah operatives tried to break free several days ago, Israeli forces located maps “illustrating control of the area over the northern [Israel] communities.”

The major tunnel system, which the IDF says was built by Hezbollah with Iranian direct assistance, is to be demolished once troops have finished scanning it.

Additionally, the army said on Saturday that a suspected Hezbollah drone struck near Israeli forces operating in southern Lebanon. No injuries were caused in the incident.

Israel has struggled to fend off growing attacks on troops in southern Lebanon and northern Israel by Hezbollah’s first-person view drones, which are largely impervious to jamming technology. The terror group has also fired rockets and other types of UAVs, hitting both military and civilian targets.

The current bout of conflict began when Hezbollah started attacking northern Israel with rockets and drones in support of Iran days after the US and Israel launched the war with the Islamic Republic in late February.

An April ceasefire in Lebanon collapsed, and the fighting has continued despite a new conditional truce deal announced last week after Lebanese-Israeli talks in Washington.

Thirty IDF soldiers and one Defense Ministry civilian contractor have been killed in southern Lebanon amid fighting against Hezbollah since hostilities escalated amid the Iran war. Two civilians were also killed by Hezbollah rockets, and an Israeli civilian was mistakenly killed in the north by Israeli artillery shelling.

UNRWA fires 70 Gaza staffers amid Israeli accusations agency staff riddled with Hamas operatives

UNRWA fires 70 Gaza staffers amid Israeli accusations agency staff riddled with Hamas operatives

The UN agency for Palestinian refugees says it fired 70 staffers in Gaza “to mitigate safety and security risks for the refugees” amid Israeli accusations that many of its staffers are Hamas operatives.

Announcing the move on Thursday, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) temporary head Christian Saunders says the firings take place with “immediate effect” and “were taken further to an assessment of the safety and security of UNRWA operations in Gaza.”

However, the statement does not mention Hamas and states that “the dismissal of the staff is not part of a disciplinary process and does not constitute in any way a validation of the claims made against them.”

“UNRWA has repeatedly asked the Israeli authorities to provide information and evidence to substantiate allegations against individual UNRWA staff members in Gaza, but has received no response to date,” the statement claims.

Israel has repeatedly alleged and shown evidence that employees of the agency were actively involved in terror groups in the Gaza Strip, and some participated in the October 7, 2023, Hamas invasion and slaughter. Israel has also shown repeated use of UNRWA infrastructure for terror activities and provided evidence that the agency’s schools incited hatred of Israel and glorification of attacks against Israelis.

UN Watch, the prominent pro-Israel lobbying group at the United Nations, welcomes the move, but accuses UNWRA of hypocrisy in refusing to openly acknowledge the links to Hamas.

“Our sustained documentation of UNRWA’s deep infiltration by Hamas — including our UNRWA Terror Network map identifying at least 400 culprits — together with the USAID Inspector General, has finally forced the agency’s hand,” says Hillel Neuer, Executive Director of UN Watch. “

“For years, UN Watch has exposed how UNRWA teachers, school principals and other employees are intertwined with Hamas, including terror chiefs heading the staff unions. Today’s action, while welcome, is only a small beginning,” says  Neuer.

“This incoherent position — firing people while refusing to acknowledge why — reveals an institution still more interested in protecting itself and its Hamas-embedded workforce than in genuine neutrality or accountability,” UN Watch says.

‘Epic Scandal’: Bill Gates Donated Hundreds Of Millions To NIH To Influence Research Priorities That Benefited His Foundation

‘Epic Scandal’: Bill Gates Donated Hundreds Of Millions To NIH To Influence Research Priorities That Benefited His Foundation

Bill Gates used his wealth and influence to partner with key National Institutes of Health (NIH) officials in an attempt to steer NIH research toward priorities favored by Gates and the Gates Foundation, an NIH whistleblower alleges.

As Gates cultivated these ties, the NIH, under the leadership of Drs. Francis Collins and Anthony Fauci gave Gates the red-carpet treatment at NIH events, the whistleblower alleged.

RealClearInvestigations and The Disinformation Chronicle published the allegations on Tuesday. The whistleblower, a former NIH official, asked to remain anonymous.

Illustrating the extent of Gates’ influence, the whistleblower told The Disinformation Chronicle that the combined funding of Gates and the NIH represents “57% of global health R&D” — or research and development.

“If you’re a researcher complaining about the two entities that control over half of the funding for public health, where do you then go to get funding for public health?” The Disinformation Chronicle wrote in a follow-up post today.

Paul D. Thacker, who authored the report for both outlets, said documents shared by the whistleblower show that Gates used his wealth to curry influence at NIH.

“What I found so interesting when reporting this piece is how nobody wanted to speak on the record,” Thacker said. “Nobody wants to get in crossways with either NIH or Gates by criticizing their cozy relationship.”

The whistleblower produced evidence of NIH-Gates partnerships in Africa to promote vaccines for Ebola and other diseases — partnerships that originated after substantial financial contributions by the Gates Foundation to the NIH.

According to the whistleblower, the partnerships also involved alleged conflicts of interest with McKinsey & Company, a private consulting firm that advised pharmaceutical companies and vaccine manufacturers while working with Gates and the NIH to promote vaccines in Africa.

The allegations follow the Trump administration’s announcement last week that it would reengage with the Gates-linked Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, one year after ending its funding of the organization. The Gates Foundation funded Gavi’s launch in 1999 and holds a permanent seat on its board.

Gates testified today before the U.S. House of Representatives’ Committee on Oversight, as part of its investigation into disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. He told the committee that Epstein tried to use information about his marital infidelities to pressure him to “re-engage with him.”

Revelations contained in the Epstein Files showed that Gates and Epstein worked to finance “pandemic preparedness” initiatives and online research platforms to help influence scientific research.

Jeffrey Tucker, president and founder of the Brownstone Institute, said the whistleblower’s allegations are a “rare example of a fully documented case of agency capture.”

“Bill Gates had zero training in virology and no understanding. And yet he bought influence at NIH that fit with his investment interests,” Tucker said. “Thacker’s investigative reporting here is not only a bombshell, it reveals an epic scandal stretching back decades.”

According to Thacker’s report, the Gates Foundation has donated “hundreds of millions of dollars” to NIH in the last 25 years, allowing the billionaire “to shape the direction of the country’s health strategy in ways that have benefitted his own priorities and pet causes while polishing his image as a benevolent global do-gooder.”

Gates Foundation donations led to partnerships with “high-ranking NIH officials to steer taxpayer research funding and design scientific policies for several federal programs.”

The partnerships began soon after the Gates Foundation (then the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation) was established in 2000 with an initial $20 billion endowment.

“Rather than working exclusively through non-governmental agencies, the Gates Foundation began contributing to the NIH through the agency’s own nonprofit, the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health (FNIH),” Thacker reported.

In 2003, the Gates Foundation launched its relationship with the FNIH by means of a $200 million donation, intended to fund NIH scientific programs. Thacker described this as “an unprecedented sum,” citing warnings by scientists and researchers that the donations were shifting the NIH’s research priorities.
