While the world’s attention is fixed on the Iranian regime, another nation with leadership just as wicked and bent on the destruction of Israel is flying largely under the radar of scrutiny.

Turkey, a member of NATO, has a vast track record of antisemitism—praising the Iranian proxy-led massacre on October 7th, hosting Hamas terrorists, threatening to invade the Jewish State, and even publicly expressing the desire to acquire nuclear weapons. Some Military experts have gone so far as to brand the nation “the new Iran,” expressing concerns over Turkish President Erdogan’s thirst for power and radical anti-Israel rhetoric.

Turkey’s interior minister recently sparked criticism for promising to “liberate” Jerusalem from Israel.

“Just as in the past, those lands will be ours once again. Allah willing, they will come under our sovereignty and dominion once more,” he vowed, referring to the control held under the fallen Ottoman Empire, “because we have a global leader like [Turkish President] Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at our helm. A world leader.”

Netanyahu, earlier this month, called Erdogan an “antisemitic dictator,” highlighting his support for terrorism, genocide against minorities, and brutal actions against dissenting voices within Turkey.

On Wednesday, President Trump took a mixed position, stating that he had thwarted Turkish plans to join Iran in attacking Israel during the war, while simultaneously praising Erdogan as a “great leader” and signaling the upcoming approval to sell F-35 fighter jets to the nation—a sale that was previously barred due to Turkey’s purchase of Russia’s S-400 air defense system in 2019.

The danger posed by Turkey is not theoretical to those who hold a Biblical worldview. Through the book of Ezekiel, chapters 38-39, we know that when the leadership in Turkey threatens to invade the Jewish State, we should take them at their word. 

The prophet Ezekiel details an alliance already vividly formed in our world today, comprised of Turkey, Iran, Russia, and others. God’s Word states that this dark coalition will wage a future attack on the modern state of Israel, attempting an invasion from the north.

While this attack has not yet occurred, the shifting pieces are moving into place, just as God’s Word described, leaping from today’s headlines in astonishing fashion. A mutual hunger for regional control and hatred of Israel continues to tighten the cooperation between Turkey, Iran, and Russia—with two of the three openly stating their intention to wipe Israel off the map.

Another facet of Ezekiel 38-39 worth noting is Israel’s isolation during the future attack. The chapters speak of the nation of Israel standing alone on the world scene, with even the United States neglecting to come to Israel’s defense. While President Trump has taken extraordinary steps in favor of Israel in his first and second terms, recent tensions surrounding Iran and the growing anti-Israel positions gaining traction in America suggest that the US-Israel relationship may be on the brink of waning.

While we don’t know all the elements that will ultimately bring about the precise circumstances of this Ezekiel war, we do know as Christians that it is not all bad news. Will bad actors become further emboldened? Yes. Will Israel stand against an army with no friends to come to her aid? Yes. But that is not the end of the story.

In an awe-inspiring turn of events, Ezekiel 38-39 describes the shattering defeat of Turkey, Iran, and Russia, not as a result of Israel’s military might, but by the direct and spectacular intervention of God. In that day, not only will God’s chosen people be rescued, but the “eyes of many nations” will recognize that these were the actions of almighty God (Ezekiel 38:23).

For years, brave whistleblowers sounded the alarm about the U.S. government’s growing surveillance capabilities that threaten our privacy and freedom. Edward Snowden exposed the NSA’s broad bulk data collection programs (like PRISM and metadata sweeps on phone records), revealing a “collect it all” mindset that raised major alarms about government surveillance of Americans. Wikipedia – Utah Data Center

William Binney, a former NSA technical director and earlier whistleblower, was far more specific about the old NSA Utah Data Center’s capabilities in Bluffdale. Speaking in 2012-2013 about that facility (long before any new
AI Data projects existed), he estimated it could handle 5 zettabytes of data (with some references to even larger yottabyte-scale potential). In his words:

“They would have plenty of space with five zettabytes to store at least something on the order of 100 years worth of the worldwide communications, phones and emails and stuff like that.”

Binney warned the old NSA facility was built to vacuum up and store content (not just metadata) of communications for potential retroactive searching and analysis on a massive scale. The old NSA center already possessed jaw-dropping capabilities to store and process vast amounts of personal communications for decades. Yet the new hyperscale AI data centers will dwarf it entirely in power and processing – potentially handling more information than humanity has ever generated or imagined before, thanks to AI-driven analysis at speeds and scales that turn “big data” into something truly unimaginable.

During the course of writing this article, intense lobbying and public pressure significantly altered the proposed AI data center I had originally planned to use as the primary example. The Stratos Project in Box Elder County, Utah, was dramatically scaled back from its original ambitions. I am therefore now comparing the revised and reduced Stratos plan to the old NSA Utah Data Center (the “Bumblehive”) in Bluffdale.

For additional perspective, I will also compare the old NSA Bumblehive to five of the largest hyperscale AI data centers proposed or under development in the United States (ranked by announced power capacity and overall campus scale as of mid-2026).

NATO is openly helping Ukraine acquire weapons capable of destroying strategic targets deep inside Russia, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has said. The latest joint arms development tender shows that the US-led bloc is actively integrating Ukraine into its structures, coming dangerously close to an open confrontation with Moscow, she warned.

Zakharova was referring to the €250,000 ($285,656) bidding contract announced in mid-June by NATO’s Allied Command Transformation (ACT) – one of the bloc’s two strategic commands – in cooperation with the NATO-Ukraine Joint Analysis, Training and Education Center (JATEC). Created in February 2025, JATEC openly describes itself as “the first joint NATO-Ukraine organization in the NATO Command Structure.”

Although the contract does not mention Russia directly, it contains a clear reference to enhancing Ukraine’s long-range strike capabilities with “solutions” capable of “persistent airport denial.” The project gives priority to various unmanned systems or loitering munitions capable of flying in signal-denied, electronic-warfare-contested environments and effectively striking runways, fuel reserves, and ground support facilities.

The tender stipulates that any “solutions” must be ready for combat deployment within 12 months and should not require extensive training for operators, with submissions due by late July.

The contract proves that NATO is accelerating Ukraine’s integration into its command structures as well as its military-industrial complex, Zakharova said on Monday. The bloc “is steadily losing what remains of its rationality and drifting into an increasingly high-risk zone” in a bid to turn Ukraine into a “testing ground” for emerging military technologies, she added.

However, NATO strategists are “clearly underestimating” the risk of further escalation of the Ukraine conflict into a direct confrontation with Moscow, the spokeswoman warned.

“With their recklessly aggressive actions, the Ukrainian-NATO partnership is giving the Russian military additional grounds to pay heightened attention to any enterprises involved in the development and production of weapons used against our country,” Zakharova said.

The development comes amid broader European militarization, with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte consistently urging member states to adopt a “wartime mindset.” Top British and German defense officials recently urged citizens to accept “difficult choices” on military spending as NATO states move to hit targets of 5% of GDP. German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius claimed last year that Russia could attack a NATO member “as early as 2028,” insisting on the need for a costly military buildup.

NATO is working on advanced weapons systems for Ukraine designed to disable Russian airfields and airbases, including those located deep inside Russian territory, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.

A man and his teenage son were found alive under the rubble in Venezuelaon Sunday, in a town about 40km north of the capital Caracas, AFP journalists reported, as the death toll from last week’s twin earthquakes passed 1,450.

The discovery of survivors in Caraballeda was made by French and American rescue teams nearly four days after back-to-back quakes of magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 struck, completely destroying nearly 200 buildings in the area.

Interim president Delcy Rodríguez on Sunday praised rescuers for still pulling survivors from the ruins. “Today we have rescued people who are still alive, and therefore these efforts will not be suspended,” she said. “We always hold on to hope.”

The rescue offered a glimmer of hope in an ongoing tragedy that has shaken a country already mired in an economic crisis, but tens of thousands of people were still reported missing and the critical 72-hour window for rescuing trapped victims following a natural disaster has now passed.

Millions more people were reported to lack sanitation and other basic needs after one of Latin America’s most devastating earthquake disasters.

Rescue teams from the US, Mexico and elsewhere scrambled to save people as desperate residents dug by hand for relatives trapped in the pancaked layers and rubble of collapsed apartments.

About 774 buildings were badly damaged by the twin quakes that struck on Wednesday evening, National Assembly president Jorge Rodriguez said on Sunday. On Sunday, Rodriguez reported 1,450 dead – a toll expected to rise – with 3,150 people injured.

Even as rescue efforts continued apace, outbreaks of looting hit La Guaira, a port city near the country’s main international airport. Much of the city now lies in rubble after Wednesday’s disaster. Pharmacies, supermarkets and other businesses were ransacked, said residents, some of whom complained of the slow and meagre post-quake aid coming from authorities.

US helicopters ferried in aid, and 230 more US military personnel were arriving to help expand airport capacity and reopen a key seaport to boost relief efforts, the US Southern Command said on Sunday.

The US – which seized Venezuela’s former president Nicolás Maduro in a military raid on Caracas in January – had already sent a 250-strong disaster response team.

But the prospect for rescuing more survivors has dwindled.

A Salvadoran rescue worker who declined to give his name, said: “At this point, they are probably dead bodies. Thanks to God maybe we can find people still alive.”
