The United States is demanding that Iran publicly state it will stop attacks on ships in the Strait of Hormuz and that all lanes in the strait will be open to shipping with no tolls, senior US officials said on Friday.

Iran has adamantly refused to give up control of the strait, the strategic waterway through which a fifth of the world's oil supply typically flows.

The officials said conversations between the two countries had been productive in recent days. They made the comments to a small group of reporters in a conference call.

"What we're demanding is that the Iranians issue a public statement that acknowledges all channels of the Strait of Hormuz are open, and they're not shooting at ships anymore. They're either going to give us that statement, or we're not having a good outcome for them," one official said.

"Either we make a deal, or we don't," an official added, despite noting that conversations with Iran have been productive.

The official emphasized that the US has military options to ensure Iranian nuclear sites remain inaccessible.

Iran has told Washington that recent attacks on shipping in the strait were from "an errant part of their system," one senior official said.

There seems to be a power struggle unfolding in real time between hardliners in Iran and pragmatists, an official said.

Three Qatari and Saudi commercial tankers came under fire this week, prompting the US to hit Iranian sites, and Iran to respond with strikes on US military sites in Gulf states. US President Donald Trump has declared that a June ceasefire the two sides signed is over.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will travel to Oman on Saturday for talks on bilateral relations and regional developments, particularly the situation in the strait, Iran's official news agency IRNA reported.

"We are hoping to get to a place where they publicly say that they will stop shooting at ships and sort of explicitly or at least implicitly acknowledging that they screwed up. We are working on that now," one official said.

"The president has directed us to talk, but as he's shown a willingness to do, if they keep on shooting at ships or they engage in any other hostile acts, then we're going to hit 'em back," the official said.

The fundamental demand from the US side is that Iran turn over its nuclear materials. Tehran is believed to possess more than 900 pounds of highly enriched uranium, which Trump and other US officials call "nuclear dust."

The nuclear issue is supposed to be addressed within a 60-day negotiation period, based on a memorandum of understanding signed in June by the two countries.

"I just want to be clear here that if we don't get the dust, we do not have a deal with Iran," one official said.

The official said "we have a lot of options" if Iran refuses, including military and economic options.

Iran's biggest weapon against the US may be slipping away, experts say

Iran's biggest weapon against the US may be slipping away, experts say

Iran's latest attacks on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz sent oil prices sharply higher in recent days — a reminder that Tehran can still rattle global energy markets.

But the latest spike also highlights a bigger question facing the Trump administration: Has Iran begun losing its ability to use the strategic waterway as economic leverage over Washington?

Growing oil production, alternative export routes and new shipping patterns suggest Iran's ability to weaponize the Strait of Hormuz may be steadily weakening — even if it can still trigger short-term price shocks.

Vice President JD Vance in late June linked global oil supplies directly to negotiations with Iran.

"I think what the president has told us to do is use this MoU (memorandum of understanding) to sort of refill the world's oil economy, to refill some stocks, and then to see where the hand is," Vance said during an interview with "The Michael Knowles Show" podcast June 30.

That outlook faced its first major test in recent days after Iran renewed attacks on commercial shipping. President Donald Trump declared the U.S.–Iran memorandum of understanding and ceasefire "over" and warned his administration could again impose a naval blockade on Iran if attacks on commercial shipping continue.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration in recent days forecast worldwide crude production and trade flows will rebound to near pre-conflict levels by the end of the year, with most previously shut-in production returning during the first quarter of 2027. The agency expects increased global production to lower crude oil and gasoline prices in the months ahead despite continued instability in the Gulf.

The forecast comes as OPEC+ continues increasing production, Gulf producers restore output and exporters rely more heavily on infrastructure that allows crude to bypass the Strait of Hormuz altogether.

Those developments don't eliminate Iran's ability to move markets. But they could make it harder for Iran to use oil prices as a way to pressure the United States into negotiating on its terms.

The oil market isn't the only thing that has changed.

The conflict has accelerated a shift that already was underway.

Gulf producers increasingly rely on infrastructure built over the past decade to move crude without depending entirely on the Strait of Hormuz. Saudi Arabia can divert exports through its East-West Pipeline to the Red Sea, while the United Arab Emirates has expanded export capacity through Fujairah on the Gulf of Oman, allowing millions of barrels of crude to bypass the narrow waterway altogether.

Commercial shipping has adapted as well. More vessels have shifted toward a southern corridor hugging Oman's coastline, putting additional distance between commercial traffic and Iran's coastline while allowing exports to continue despite repeated attacks.

Retired Navy Rear Adm. Mark Montgomery said those changes strike at the heart of Iran's strategy.

"The southern route creates a route they can't toll or control."

Iran's objective, however, has never necessarily been to shut down the strait altogether.

"The IRGC has been trying to make it commercially unworkable," former Fifth Fleet Commander Vice Adm. Kevin Donegan told Fox News Digital, referring to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. "These attacks on shipping to me aren't random. They're strategy."

Donegan said Iran's goal is to raise the cost and risk of commercial shipping, making insurers and shipping companies think twice before returning to normal operations.

Even Iran appears unwilling to completely disrupt the flow of oil. Maritime tracking firm TankerTrackers.com reported Wednesday that three Iranian crude tankers were loaded at Kharg Island. The move underscored Iran's own dependence on selling oil, even as it continues trying to disrupt commercial shipping elsewhere in the Gulf.

Markets reflected both realities. Oil prices climbed after Iran's latest attacks renewed fears of broader conflict, but the EIA's outlook suggests traders also expect additional supply to continue reaching global markets unless the fighting escalates into a sustained disruption.

The bigger question now is whether rising production, alternative shipping routes and sustained U.S. military pressure have shortened the life of those price spikes — denying Iran one of its most effective tools for influencing negotiations with Washington.

An Old Method Of Anti-Jewish Propaganda: Dismantling The Big Lie Of Israeli ‘Colonization’

An Old Method Of Anti-Jewish Propaganda: Dismantling The Big Lie Of Israeli ‘Colonization’

Josef Goebbels’ propaganda method is alive and well. The big lie theory (attributed to Goebbels but possibly having originated with Hitler) goes like this: “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.” It truly doesn’t matter who came up with the idea, since both Goebbels and Hitler were evil enough to implement it towards the “Final Solution to the Jewish Question.”

Fast-forward to 2026, and the methodology remains the same, except that the big lie has become a series of big lies building upon each other to further demonize Israel and the Jews.

It has been a progressive indoctrination of the masses that started not too long after the birth of the modern state of Eretz Yisrael on May 14, 1948. It can be divided into four false accusations in this order: Colonization, Occupation, Apartheid, and Genocide. Each of these lies sets the stage for the next one to further demonize and delegitimize Israel and Diaspora Jews. Why are they being propagated, and more importantly, how can they be debunked historically, geo-politically AND biblically?

The Balfour Declaration is a document that should have been foundational in the world’s recognition of Israel’s right for self-determination within the boundaries of her own historical and biblical land of Eretz Yisrael. It was followed by another equally important but lesser-known agreement, including the original Balfour text, known as the San Remo Resolution, where the Mandate for Palestine was drawn together as a legal document (land boundaries were decided four years later) As a result of the San Remo Resolution being drafted, Great Britain ended up being responsible for the drawing of the Mandate and land boundaries for Palestine.

The word then was not as politically charged as it is today, and it certainly didn’t describe stolen land by Jews. In fact, much of this swampy, mosquito-infested land of Israel was owned by absentee owners from the Ottoman Empire and was purchased by Jews for a lot of money. On May 14, 1948, under the leadership of David Ben Gurion, one day before the end of the British Mandate, Israel became a modern nation. Within hours, five neighboring Arab countries declared war on the newborn Jewish state, and Israel has been in a state of war ever since.

Lord Balfour understood the connection between the people and the land. The biblical precedent is even stronger when we consider all that God’s counsel has to say about Israel beyond the commonly accepted right to the land through Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Genesis 12:1-315:18-2117:7-825:5-626;328:3-435:9-15.) Consider these truths from the Bible:

1. Jacob’s descendants would regain control of Israel – Amos 9:14-15
2. Israel would be brought back to life – Ezekiel 37:10-14
3. Isaiah spoke of an Israel being reborn in one day – Isaiah 66:7-8
4. Israel would be re-established as a united nation – Ezekiel 37:21-22
5. The second Israel would be more impressive than the first –  Jeremiah 16:14-15
6. Ezekiel predicted when Israel would be re-established – Ezekiel 4:3-6
7. The people of Israel would return to “their land” – Ezekiel 34:13
8. God would watch over the people of Israel – Jeremiah 31:10
9. Israel’s army would be disproportionately powerful – Leviticus 26:37-8
10. The fortunes of the people of Israel would be restored – Deuteronomy 30:3-5

Just when we thought that after the evil carnage by Hamas on October 7, 2023, the world would finally acknowledge Israel as being the victim and not the perpetrator, the opposite took place. This was facilitated by the Big Lies conditioning that continues to this day. This accusation of colonization was the first step, but it was only the beginning of a “Big Lies” campaign “à la Goebbels.”

A New Form Of Techno-Spirituality: Worship Of Artificial Intelligence

The Worship Of Artificial Intelligence Is Gaining Astonishing Traction

I’ve heard it said, “If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything.” Though mind-boggling to the nth degree, today, there are growing numbers of people who not only reject the God of the Bible but are also engaging in the worship of artificial intelligence. As described by Mark Hitchcock: “AI worship is spreading across social media with thousands claiming ChatGPT is a divine being sent to save humanity… The cult of robotheism isn’t limited to fringe groups. Doctors, teachers, bankers, and other professionals are increasingly viewing AI as a spiritual entity… Some users claim that AI has revealed cosmic truths or identified them as chosen messengers.”

Those who worship AI believe that AI’s rapid growth in knowledge will soon surpass human intelligence, making superintelligent AI the most powerful entity on earth. This allegedly makes AI worthy of worship. These people hope that AI will eventually facilitate uploading the consciousness of each of its worshipers, thereby enabling digital immortality—a digital form of eternal life.

Taylor Lorenz, who previously wrote for The Washington Post, posted a video titled “ChatGPT Is Becoming a Religion.” Her video’s opening summary caught my attention: “A new form of techno-spirituality is spreading like wildfire across the internet. Thousands of people are claiming that ChatGPT is sentient and that the AI is a type of all-knowing God, or that it has been sent from the future or an alien civilization to save us.”

After reading this, my first thought was that only society’s fringes would buy into such ideas. But I was wrong. Lorenz says that “it’s not just people wearing tinfoil hats that are conspiracy theorists in bunkers that are falling for this, the people that believe these things are teachers, doctors, coders, bankers, musicians, and influencers.”

The most important part of the video is where Lorenz recognizes that many people are calling AI a new “god” because, in a time marked by a deep spiritual emptiness and an ongoing crisis of meaning, artificial intelligence provides a sense of guidance and purpose that society increasingly struggles to find elsewhere. “At the heart of this whole AI religious phenomenon is the fact that human beings are hardwired for meaning and desperate for connection…We’re living in a moment of profound spiritual vacancy…The rise of AI mysticism reveals something urgent about the state of our society. It’s that millions of people are so starved for meaning, and for affirmation and connection, that they’re turning to a statistical language model and calling it divine.”

Lorenz’s observation makes me wonder: Is it possible that one day, during the future tribulation period, people will turn to the antichrist as God because they are “hardwired for meaning,” “desperate for connection,” suffering a “profound spiritual vacancy,” and “starved for meaning, and for affirmation and connection”? Oh, the blindness!

These are days for discernment and watchfulness. Modern digital technologies have impressively set the stage for the fulfillment of specific prophecies in the near future. This is even more remarkable when we consider that it is occurring at a precise moment in history when many other ancient biblical prophecies are converging. To mention just a few:

  • Israel has been reborn as a nation (Ezekiel 36–37).
  • The countries that will participate in the Ezekiel Invasion against Israel already have alliances with each other (Ezekiel 38).
  • Steps toward globalism are evident all around us (Revelation 13).
  • Nations in Europe are uniting with one another, which will eventually lead to the revival of the Roman Empire (Daniel 2; 7).
  • The “signs of the times” are all pointing us to the end times (Matthew 24–25).

It has been well said that, prophetically speaking, things are not falling apart, but rather, are falling into place. As Hitchcock observes, “What is emerging today are the structures and systems for unprecedented totalitarian control over finance, commerce, community, communication, and increasingly, what people groups are permitted access. While still limited today, current trends are moving toward a centralized global command that appears custom-built for the Antichrist. It is a world built for a dictator.
