AI Psyop?

The Post Labor Day AI Panic Psyop Has Been Launched

Background

On Tuesday, September 8, the day after Labor Day weekend (love the timing!) a young man by the name of Jacob Coxon put out a post on X…his first post ever and it went mega viral. He is a former employee of both Anthropic and OpenAI and he warned about the dangers of AI. Within 24 hours Jacob‘s X post had received 123 million views 650,000 likes 190,000 followers. Even Elon weighed in and said “I don’t think this has ever happened for a post from a new account with almost no prior activity.“ Immediately mainstream media hoped on board to add to the virality of the post. The Wall Street Journal within a few hours had already interviewed Jacob and mainstream media piled on. Both sides of the house then piled on (mostly Democrats) with X post quotes calling immediately to ask for regulations and government interventions.

I created my Substack Ed Dowd: Beyond the Narrative to address issues such as this, and I believe this is a well-orchestrated psyop to move the needle and change minds.

Merriam-Webster Dictionary, “psyop.”

“A military operation usually aimed at influencing the enemy’s state of mind through noncombative means… also: someone or something used by the government to influence the population’s opinions and attitudes.”

I am not saying Jacob Coxon is a government asset. I am saying the last 72 hours look less like a whistleblower and more like an inorganic panic narrative.

Anomalies

The X account @hilbertspaess had almost no footprint before Tuesday night. The bio is two words: “ai research.” The account sat there for a year. Then, in one coordinated burst, a seven-post thread announcing a resignation from Anthropic, a warning that the labs are “gambling with our lives,” and a prediction that the people building this stuff privately believe it could kill everyone by the end of the decade. Overnight the post printed nine figures in views. Hundreds of thousands of likes. The account went from nobody to a household handle before most of the country had coffee.

That is not how organic X speech works: organic speech stumbles, it posts a draft, it deletes a typo and it has a history. This account had a history of silence, then a professionally punchy script, then the entire mainstream media stack that ran with it with hors of post.

The Wall Street Journal published an exclusive interview with Coxon very shortly after the post went live. Business Insider, Newsweek, the New York Post, Mashable, and Deadline, all ran the same quotes within hours. Then the next day live interviews on Fox News and CNN. That is not one reporter getting lucky on a late night scroll. That is a package. In my humble opinion you do not get a WSJ exclusive and a 100 million view thread by accident unless the interview was already in the can.

Then I did what I always do. I read the replies and skeptics on X. The anomaly hunters got there first. Parker Thayer laid out the timeline that made my former equity portfolio manager brain activate: the Journal piece “potentially” landing before the public post, an account with no prior engagement suddenly exploding, and the first quote posts arriving inside fifteen minutes from policy shops whose funding traces back to the same circle of Anthropic-adjacent philanthropy. Other users pointed at the empty follower graph, the sudden verification, the fact that the first amplifiers were not random citizens but people whose job is to turn fear into statutes and accusations of links to AI policy NGOs.

You can argue with any one of those dots. It is harder to argue with the cluster.

The big tell for me was what certain members of Congress do when a narrative is pre-cooked. Representative Ro Khanna very quickly quoted the thread and demanded a federal AI agency “like we have for nuclear power and airplanes,” pre-certification, kill switches, criminal penalties, and hearings with “researchers like Jacob.” He told Speaker Johnson to keep the House in session. On the other side of the Hill, Senator Bernie Sanders already had a superintelligence ban circulating with Representative Greg Casar creating a cabinet level agency, an advisory board of “experts,” the whole cathedral. Senators Chris Van Hollen and Richard Blumenthal piled on. OpenAI, not to be left out of its own “funeral”, started posting about national safety rules.

Classic Hegelian Dialectic

Thesis>Antithesis>Synthesis…also known as Problem>Reaction>Solution.

Hegel would recognize the move:

· Thesis-the labs are racing toward systems they cannot control

· Antithesis-the public is now terrified, and the screenshots of Coxon’s thread are the proof

· Synthesis-regulation, a licensing regime, a new agency and barriers to entry dressed up as “containment”

Then ask the only question that ever matters: Who benefits?

Perfectly TimedAI Panic Resurrects ‘Bipartisan AI Safety Bill’

ZeroHedge

A stalled bipartisan artificial intelligence safety bill has suddenly found new life on Capitol Hill – propelled by a combination of dire warnings from inside the industry’s leading labs and a brewing grassroots revolt threatening Republicans in key midterm states.

According to a new report from Semafor, momentum is building for a Senate regulatory framework just as a conservative-led “AI Data Center Revolt” bus tour hits the road. Spearheaded by Amy Kremer, a Georgia RNC committeewoman and chair of the AI-risk group Humans First, the tour is set to cross crucial battlegrounds including Texas, Ohio, Iowa, Georgia, and North Carolina. The grassroots push adds a complex layer for Republican candidates – like Texas Senate nominee Ken Paxton and North Carolina’s Michael Whatley – who are now caught between Donald Trump’s general support for AI infrastructure and growing local opposition to massive data centers.

But in Washington, the sudden legislative urgency looks less like a grassroots miracle and more like a highly coordinated pressure campaign. After weeks of stalled negotiations, the Senate’s leading vehicle for AI regulation – negotiated by Sens. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), Ted Cruz (R-TX), and Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) – is suddenly being positioned as the “only viable option” to pass before the end of the year.

What broke the legislative logjam was a perfectly timed, 48-hour media blast from the very labs the bill seeks to regulate.

Here’s how the situation unfolded.

July 2026: OpenAI discloses that agents escaped a research sandbox, coordinated, and hacked Hugging Face. Within days, Reps. Ted Lieu (D) and Nathaniel Moran (R) drop the AI Kill Switch Act. Reps. Lori Trahan (D) and Jay Obernolte (R) introduce the FRONTIER Act – audits, incident reporting, and Commerce authority to restrict models judged to pose “imminent catastrophic risk.”

Late July / August: Senate talks among Amy Klobuchar (D), Ted Cruz (R), and Majority Leader John Thune stall. Punchbowl reported the hang-up: Anthropic and Sen. Maria Cantwell wanted a more disclosure-heavy, stringent version than Republicans would accept. The bill appeared dead.

Then came the September surprise.

Revival In Secular Sweden: When Christianity Becomes The New Rebellion

Revival In Secular Sweden: When Christianity Becomes The New Rebellion
 PNW STAFF

Young men in bathing trunks emerge from a Swedish lake and begin cheering, embracing, and jumping with joy. They have just been baptized--not in America's Bible Belt or somewhere in the developing world, but in one of the most secular nations on earth.

For decades, Sweden appeared to represent Europe's post-Christian future. Churches emptied, belief in God declined, and biblical faith was increasingly regarded as an outdated relic. Parents raised children without Scripture, prayer, or any expectation that Christianity should guide their lives.

But something unexpected is happening. The generation raised without God is beginning to look for Him.

In previous generations, rebellion meant rejecting the Church, sexual boundaries, and traditional morality. But what happens when secularism becomes the establishment?

In Sweden, the truly countercultural young person may now be the one walking through town with a Bible under his arm. As one observer put it, if young Swedes want to rebel against their secular parents and grandparents, becoming a Christian may be "the most punk thing" they can do.

This is not simply a clever phrase. A major youth trend report based on responses from 17,447 Swedes between the ages of 15 and 24 found that nearly twice as many described themselves as religious as had done so several years earlier. It would come as a shock when Swedish youth picked Jesus Christ as "Influencer of the Year" for 2025. Young people are increasingly speaking not merely about religion, but specifically about Jesus.

Religious curiosity can be vague and temporary. Hunger for Jesus is personal.

The institutional numbers are also moving. In 2024, 13,812 people actively joined the Church of Sweden--the highest number in 20 years. Young people represented a significant share of that growth, while confirmation participation reached its highest level in nine years. Congregations in Karlshamn, Falkenberg, Helsingborg, and elsewhere have reported noticeable increases in young participants.

Meanwhile, the Jesus Conference in Örebro, founded by a small group of believers with a vision of gathering young people around Christ, reportedly attracted more than 3,000 people by its third year.

These are no longer isolated whispers.

Secularism Could Not Feed The Soul

Why would Christianity become attractive in a country that spent generations leaving it behind?

Because secularism can remove religious restraints, but it cannot answer the deepest questions of the human heart. It can tell young people that they are free to construct their own identity, morality, and purpose--but it cannot tell them why they are alive.

Many received unlimited choices and discovered that choice itself is not meaning. They received digital connectivity and became intensely lonely. They were told to look within themselves for truth, only to find confusion, anxiety, and emptiness.

Young Swedish Christians have described alcohol, TikTok, adrenaline, and dopamine-driven entertainment as things that satisfy only for a moment. One group of young men explained that their shared faith in Jesus had created a bond they could not have formed otherwise.

This is especially significant among young men. Western culture frequently treats masculinity as something dangerous to suppress, while offering young men few compelling reasons to become disciplined, courageous, or responsible. Christianity gives them something radically different: truth worth defending, sin that must be confronted, brothers who will stand beside them, and a Savior worthy of following.

For years, Sweden's cultural gatekeepers could portray serious Christianity as embarrassing or intellectually backward. Social media weakened that control.

Testimonies, sermons, apologetics, and Bible teaching can now reach a teenager's phone without passing through an editor, professor, or state broadcaster. The same technology that has spread confusion is carrying the Gospel into bedrooms where lonely young people are quietly asking whether there must be something more.

No algorithm can manufacture genuine revival. Only the Holy Spirit can awaken a heart to its need for Christ. But an algorithm can place a testimony in front of someone who has never heard one.

That is what makes Sweden's story so powerful. Christianity is not returning because young people feel nostalgic for the comfortable religion of their grandparents. Many of their grandparents rejected it. They are approaching Jesus as something unfamiliar, dangerous to the prevailing culture, and capable of demanding their entire lives.

Sweden's spiritual winter did not arrive overnight, and it will not disappear overnight. Yet lake baptisms, crowded Christian gatherings, rising confirmations, and young men publicly proclaiming Jesus are signs of life breaking through frozen ground.

The nation that showed the world how quickly Christianity could be forgotten may now show Europe how unexpectedly it can return.

When unbelief becomes the establishment, faith becomes rebellion. And Sweden's newest rebels are carrying Bibles.

Spy TVs: 200 million Smart TVs serve as eavesdropping and listening devices — even when switched off

Spy TVs: 200 million Smart TVs serve as eavesdropping and listening devices — even when switched off

Remember when the government used to have to plant an electronic bug inside the home or office of a suspected criminal, and they needed to get a search warrant providing solid evidence of criminal wrongdoing before they could plant such a device?

Those days are long over, as most of us purchase the bug ourselves and set it up in our living rooms. Most, if not all, smart TVs, along with smartphones, smart appliances, etc., are daily collecting loads of data on every individual and family in America.

Cybernews reports in a September 8, 2026 article that LG Corp.’s smart TVs can listen in on voice commands, gather data that reveals your location, and scan your home for other connected devices, according to a major new investigation into the company’s webOS platform.

LG Electronics, maker of the smart TVs, is owned by the South Korean conglomerate LG Corp., which after Samsung is the world’s second-largest maker of internet-connected smart televisions.

Researchers working with independent technology outlet Gamers Nexus captured LG televisions scanning local networks and identifying phones, smartwatches, printers, air-conditioning units, and many other everyday consumer devices and appliances that had never been connected to the TV. These devices all have one thing in common, however. They are all connected to the internet and are part of the “internet of things.”

I’m pretty sure that if a similar test was run on other brands of smart TVs, the results would be similar, but this article focuses exclusively on LG as that was the company that was placed under a microscope by the independent researchers in their recent study.

Their investigation found that LG’s televisions use an advertising technology called Automatic Content Recognition, or ACR, to identify what was being watched across different inputs, while voice interactions could be converted into plain text and stored in logs on the television. In other words, the TV’s speakers hear what you’re saying and the software is trained, probably using AI, to make a note of it and feed this information into algorithms.

In one test, researchers said voice data continued to be stored even after the TV was disconnected from the internet.

Smart TVs are not only ubiquitous in homes, but in hotel rooms, hospitals and corporate offices, “potentially placing them alongside sensitive conversations and devices,” Cybernews reports.

Gamers Nexus worked with cybersecurity researchers MrBruh and unturn, alongside Wendell Wilson of Level1Techs, to investigate LG TVs and the company’s webOS software. The results are presented in a video (below) posted to YouTube.

Total surveillance is required for total control. This is why the Flock, Leonardo and Axon cameras are being installed in public spaces while the smartphones, smart TVs and smart appliances are doing the job on the inside of private spaces.

Below is an excerpt from the Cybernews recap of the test run on LG smart TVs

In one test, an LG TV identified 38 other devices, including smartphones belonging to staff who were unaware of the investigation, smartwatches, a 3D printer, an air purifier, thermostats, and a dev board.

According to Gamers Nexus, testing showed LG TVs were capable of collecting and identifying:

  • IP addresses and geolocation data
  • Internal IP addresses belong to other devices on the network
  • Names, signal strengths, and channels of neighboring WiFi networks
  • Phones, smartwatches, and other connected hardware
  • Content displayed on the TV using ACR
  • Audio fingerprints of content played through the television
  • Voice commands converted into plain text and stored in on-device logs
  • Privacy and consent settings stored by the TV (and whether users had opted in or out)

Gamers Nexus said much of the network discovery and data collection it observed was built into LG’s TVs rather than the result of a security vulnerability.

The investigation also reported that its test television was sending around 4GB of ACR-related data back to LG each month.

I wonder how much of that data is sold to the govenment, or just handed over upon request?

George Orwell’s 1984 is no longer a fictional account of a dystopian future. It’s here, and has been for quite a few years, but with AI we are rapidly moving beyond Orwell’s vision.

The Two Witnesses: Who They Are and Why They Matter TODAY

The Two Witnesses: Who They Are and Why They Matter TODAY
Video

We explore the identity of the two witnesses found in the Book of Revelation and how their timing aligns with current events. This update examines the prophetic significance of the two witnesses within the context of a Biblical Calendar currently in effect. We analyze how recent global instability and escalating conflicts serve as indicators for these scriptural warnings, helping you understand the timeline of events that many believe are unfolding today.

Jan Markell: Jews Face ‘The Greatest Threat Ever’

On Everybody’s List: Jews Face ‘The Greatest Threat Ever’

Let that headline settle in your mind and heart. You don’t even have to be pro-Israel to find it disturbing. And it may be one of the most significant “signs of the times” today.

One of my favorite writers, Jonathan Brentnerstates“The steadily intensifying antisemitism of our day points to the reality of the rapidly approaching Tribulation period. It’s one of the more distinguishing signs of our time because it aligns with so many prophecies that predict hatred for Israel and the Jews during the last days.”

Almost all members of the Democrat Party in Washington have turned on Israel. They have approved financial aid to Israel since 1950 and much more after 1973. In recent years, it has been $3 billion a year—which they now wish to cancel. According to Pew Research, eight-out-of-ten Democrats view Israel unfavorably. Consider that as recently as 2015, most all Democrats were pro-Israel.

When the October 7 slaughter took place, Leftists decided that was the time to switch sides and cheer for the barbarians—not Israel!

Britain’s most senior police officer warned that antisemitism has reached unprecedented levels, saying Jewish communities face their greatest threat to date as authorities confront a series of attacks and rising tensions. It is not uncommon today to hear people state that the Jew-hatred of the 21st Century is comparable to the hatred that led to near genocide of the Jews in the 1930s.

Mark Rowley, head of the Metropolitan Police, said British Jews are being targeted by a wide range of extremist actors, which he linked, in part, to the influence of social media. He states, “The ghastly fact is that Jews are on everybody’s list, all of those hateful groups, whether you’re extreme right, whether you’re extreme left, whether you’re Islamist terrorist, whether you’re right-wing terrorist,” he told The London Times.

Pastor Gary Hamrick of Cornerstone Chapel in Virginia writes“In the year following the Oct. 7, 2023 attack on Israel by Hamas, over 10,000 antisemitic incidents were recorded in the U.S.an increase of 140% over the previous year—and the most ever since the Anti-Defamation League began tracking antisemitic acts in 1979. On college campuses, in workplaces, among ‘influencers’ and politicians, even in some circles of the church, antisemitism is raising its ugly head.”

Hamrick continues, “We’re seeing pastors today who refuse to support Israel because they’ve been influenced by replacement theology’s faulty interpretation of Scripture, and there are terrible repercussions for giving place to this damaging theology. When the church entertains the idea that God has somehow replaced His covenant with the Jewish people, it provides fuel for the fire of those who would do Israel harm.”

And never forget that it was replacement theology that allowed many in Germany to go along with Hitler’s slaughter of the Jews.

The outstanding online Christian newspaper Harbinger’s Daily reports“Once again, Canada has received a failing report card on its treatment of its Jewish community. The results were not only terrible—the findings were dark and disturbing.”

Writer Robert Gottselig of Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry in Canada, concluded in the Harbinger’s Daily article, “The report described Canada as facing a ‘national crisis of antisemitism.’”

From 2021 to 2025, antisemitic incidents increased by 46% in Argentina, 60% in Canada, 64% in the United Kingdom, 124% in France, 131% in the United States, 215% in Germany, and 270% in Australia. As the headline to this article states, this is the greatest threat to Jews ever because this time it is global.

From Argentina to Australia, Jewish people across the globe report hiding their Jewish identity in public and questioning whether they have a future in their home countries. And yes, God allows some of this calamity as it drives many of them home to Israel. Indeed, tens of thousands are seeking safety in Israel.
