The war between the United States, Israel, and the Iranian regime dramatically escalated Saturday night after Israeli forces, coordinating with U.S. military assets, launched massive strikes targeting Iranian oil infrastructure in and around Tehran.

Israel’s public broadcaster KAN reported that the Israeli Air Force struck oil storage depots and refinery facilities in Tehran.

Israeli officials confirmed that the operation focused on fuel depots and energy infrastructure believed to support Iran’s military operations.

STRUCK: Several Fuel Storage Complexes Belonging to the IRGC in Tehran

Guided by IDF intelligence, the IAF struck these complexes, where the Iranian terrorist regime would distribute fuel to multiple military entities in Iran.

The strike significantly deepens the damage to the military infrastructure of the Iranian terrorist regime.

“We attacked several fuel depots that served the military forces of the Iranian terror regime in Tehran.” According to the statement, “The military forces of the Iranian regime use fuel tanks directly and frequently to operate military infrastructure, and with their help, the Iranian terror regime transfers fuel to various consumers, including military entities in Iran. This is a significant strike that constitutes an additional layer in deepening the damage to the military infrastructure of the Iranian terror regime. The IDF will continue to act forcefully in order to strike the regime extensively and remove threats to the State of Israel.”

Massive fires were reported at storage facilities as explosions rocked parts of Tehran late Saturday.

Social media videos show huge fires that lit up the skyline and sent thick plumes of smoke into the night sky.

Footage from Tehran shows the “Shahran” fuel facility engulfed in flames, with thick smoke billowing into the sky.

Loud blast heard near US embassy in Oslo, Norway, police say

A loud blast was heard near the US embassy in western Oslo, triggering a large police response, investigators say.

It is not immediately clear what caused the blast, which happened at around 1 a.m. local time, or who was involved, the Oslo police department says in a statement.

“The police are in a dialogue with the embassy and there are no reports of any injured persons,” the statement says.

Smoke was seen rising from the area around the embassy compound, eyewitnesses told Norwegian daily Verdens Gang.

The embassy did not immediately respond to a request for comment outside of regular business hours.

Kuwait’s defense ministry says that fuel tanks at the Gulf nation’s international airport were targeted in a drone attack, as Iran continues its strikes across the region.

“The fuel tanks of Kuwait International Airport were attacked by drones in a direct targeting of vital infrastructure,” an official defense ministry spokesman says, according to a post by the Kuwaiti military on X.

The spokesman adds the country’s forces are “responding to a wave of hostile drones” that penetrated the country’s airspace.

Israel has said that after the destruction of three Iranian nuclear sites by the United States and Israel during the Twelve Day War last June, Iran continued clandestine efforts to restore its nuclear weapons program.

On March 3, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that it “struck and destroyed the secret nuclear headquarters in Minzadehei, located partly underground in the city of Tehran. A team of nuclear scientists was operating covertly at this headquarters.” 

The military added that during the June 2025 strikes, “the Iranian regime transferred some of its capabilities to secret bunkers and attempted to restore its efforts and conceal them.”

Senior Israeli security officials told Epoch Magazine in Israel that at the Minzadehei site that was struck, a team of nuclear scientists—reassembled by Iran from among those who had survived the bombing last year—was working to accelerate the country’s “Weapon Group” project. The  purpose of the project is to develop the bomb’s fuzing system–the component responsible for triggering the detonation mechanism—and adapt the weapon for delivery by ballistic missile. 

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity as they were not authorized to publicly discuss the details.

The Weapon Group is the body responsible for developing the nuclear detonation mechanism within Iran’s nuclear program. In the process of developing a nuclear bomb intended for mounting on a ballistic missile, the bomb’s components are developed and built separately until the weapon’s final assembly. The team of scientists operating at the site was working on the fuze.

The same sources said the Iranian leadership recovered from the blow it suffered to its nuclear sites from the United States and Israel in June 2025, and that Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei ordered an accelerated push to produce a nuclear bomb.

In 2024, Kamal Kharrazi, an adviser to Khamenei, said in an interview with Al Jazeera: “We have no decision to build a nuclear bomb but should Iran’s existence be threatened, there will be no choice but to change our military doctrine.”

The IDF says it destroyed 16 aircraft used by the IRGC Quds Force at Tehran’s Mehrabad International Airport in a wave of airstrikes in Iran’s capital last night.

The military says that Mehrabad Airport was used by the Quds Force “as a central hub for arming and funding the regime’s terrorist proxies in the Middle East,” including Lebanon’s Hezbollah.

“Aircraft loaded with weapons and cash took off from the airport numerous times and landed across the region for the use of the Iranian terror regime’s proxies,” the military says.

As part of the strikes, the IDF says it destroyed 16 aircraft that had been used to transfer weapons to Hezbollah, other military infrastructure at the airport, as well as several Iranian fighter jets that “posed a threat to Israeli Air Force aircraft operating in Iranian airspace.”

IDF airstrike reported in Lebanon’s Tyre after evacuation warning

After the IDF issued an evacuation warning for several buildings in the coastal Lebanese city of Tyre, Lebanese media reports an Israeli airstrike in the area.

The military said it was set to strike Hezbollah sites. Footage published by Lebanese media shows the strikes.

IDF repeats warning for civilians to evacuate all of southern Lebanon

The IDF reiterates its warning to Lebanese civilians in all of southern Lebanon to evacuate amid the fighting against Hezbollah.

“Hezbollah’s terror activities are forcing the IDF to act against it with force in the area,” says army spokesman Col. Avichay Adraee.

“Airstrikes are ongoing as the IDF operates with great force in the area. Therefore, for your safety, we once again urge you to evacuate your homes immediately and head north of the Litani River,” he says.

The warning was first issued by the IDF on Wednesday. The military estimates that over 420,000 Lebanese civilians have so far fled their homes.

Israel continued its military campaign against Iran overnight Saturday, striking key missile infrastructure, as Tehran launched repeated salvos of ballistic missiles at Israel and issued new threats against European countries that might join the war.

As the war entered its second week, the Israel Defense Forces said that more than 80 air force fighter jets carried out a wave of strikes overnight on several Iranian military sites in Tehran and central Iran, dropping around 230 bombs on the targets.

Among the targets was a subterranean site “for the storage and production of ballistic missiles, from which hundreds of soldiers from the armed forces of the Iranian terror regime operated,” the IDF said.

The military said the site “contained bunkers and military headquarters of regime elements.”

Additionally, the IDF said it struck another missile storage site, which included bunkers and launch infrastructure, as well as Imam Hossein University, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps military academy, which the IDF says “served as an emergency asset and an assembly complex for the IRGC,” including during the war.

As the war entered a new phase, the military said it was ramping up strikes on Iran’s weapon production facilities across the country, including those used to manufacture missiles and launchers.

Earlier, footage posted to social media showed strikes and large fires at Tehran’s Mehrabad International Airport, after the Israeli military said it was carrying out an “extensive” wave of strikes against regime targets in Iran’s capital.

Iran launches missiles at Israel

Even as Israeli strikes intensified inside Iran, Tehran continued firing missiles toward Israel overnight and into Saturday morning.

Frequent launches throughout the night triggered sirens in Jerusalem, Beersheba and northern Israel, repeatedly sending millions of people scrambling for bomb shelters.

At around 6:20 a.m., the IDF said it detected the fifth launch of ballistic missiles from Iran since midnight, triggering sirens in Tel Aviv and other parts of central Israel.

While the attacks came every few hours, there were a relatively small number of missiles in each salvo and most were intercepted. Medics said there were no reports of injuries following the attacks, and there were no reports of missile impacts.

Short warnings

On Friday evening, several Iranian missile barrages prompted sirens across central Israel, though the advance warning time before the alarms sounded was shorter than in previous attacks.

A review of Home Front Command alerts showed that at 7:16 p.m., an early warning was issued for central Israel, with sirens sounding three minutes later at 7:19 p.m. Another alert at 8:40 p.m. was followed by sirens just one minute later, and a third warning at 9:54 p.m. preceded sirens by about two minutes.
