Prophetic Stage-setting Continues

Prophetic Stage-setting Continues
Terry James

Another stage-setting matter that leaps from recent news concerns the ongoing development of the Gog-Magog coalition that will bring about that disastrous assault, according to Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39.

Despite the recent reimposition of UN sanctions on Iran, Turkey has called for closer diplomatic and trade relations with the Iranian regime, as both countries seek to bolster their influence in the Middle East while openly targeting Israel.

In a new interview with the semi-official Iranian news outlet ISNA, Turkey’s Ambassador to Iran, Hicabi Kırlangıç, said Ankara was working to expand bilateral cooperation with Tehran by leveraging existing capabilities to increase economic ties between the two countries…

The Turkish diplomat’s latest remarks followed Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan’s visit on Sunday to Tehran, where he also pushed for stronger bilateral cooperation between the two countries and denounced what he called “unfair sanctions” on Iran.

In a joint press conference with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Fidan reaffirmed Turkey’s support for Tehran while calling for the country’s nuclear program to be addressed through dialogue amid ongoing discussions to restart nuclear talks with the West. (“Turkey Pushes for Closer Ties with Iran Despite Mounting Sanctions as Both Countries Pursue Regional Ambitions,” Algemeiner.com)

It is more than interesting that the ties that are bringing Turkey (Togarmah) together with Iran (Persia) in a close, mutually advantageous relationship involve economy. Both nations are hurting in the world trade wars that are ongoing.

When thinking on Russia, the third major nation/entity of the future Gog-Magog assaulting force, it is economy that is most troubling to the Putin regime. Sanctions and other financial calamities continue to embroil the Russians.

The prophet Ezekiel said these three nation/entities will assault Israel in order to “take great spoil.” It is for economic reasons–at least partially—that the Gog-Magog force coalesces to come to plunder riches from Israel.

Death toll climbs to 12 in Bondi Beach terror

Death toll climbs to 12 in Bondi Beach terror

Twelve people, including children, are dead after two gunmen armed with rifles opened fire at Bondi Beach on Sunday afternoon, in an act of terrorism targeting a Jewish holiday celebration.

Witnesses said two men stepped out of a vehicle on Campbell Parade, near Bondi Pavilion, and opened fire about 6.40pm on Sunday with footage showing blast after blast on the tourist strip. Some witnesses report more than 30 shots.

Video and photos taken by a Daily Mail photographer show a gunman, later identified as Naveed Akram, 24, from Bonnyrigg in Sydney's southwest, opening fire from an elevated bridge.

A festival for Hanukkah, named Chanukah by the Sea, advertised as a night of family fun, was taking place, with children attending the event when the gunmen, one of whom was on the terror list and known to authorities, opened fire.

NSW Premier Chris Minns confirmed 12 people were killed in a press conference late on Sunday.

Up to 29 injured people, including two police officers in critical condition and a child, have been taken to various hospitals in Sydney

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has condemned the shooting, which has been confirmed as an act of terrorism.

'This is a targeted attack on Jewish Australians on the first day of Hanukkah – which should be a day of joy, a celebration of faith,' he said.

'An act of evil antisemitism, terrorism, that has struck the heart of our nation... An attack on Jewish Australians is an attack on every Australian.'

Akram was shot, arrested and remains in custody, where he is being treated by emergency services. The second gunman has been shot dead.

Akram's home in Bonnyrigg was raided by police, as a crowd watched from the pavement. His family has owned the property for a year.

At least three residents were then drawn out of the home at gunpoint by police with their hands up.

It was also confirmed late on Sunday evening that a number of suspicious items had been found near the bridge where the gunmen fired rounds, including an improvised explosive device (IED).

The IED was removed by bomb squad specialists, driven away in an armoured car.

A black and white flag could be seen abandoned on the bonnet of a silver Honda at the scene. It is unknown what the flag means.

Larisa Kleytman was with her husband when he was shot dead while trying to protect her.

At least 11 killed as gunmen open fire on Hanukkah celebration at Sydney’s Bondi Beach

Dozens more wounded in terror attack on Chabad event, one of deadliest attacks on Jews outside Israel in decades; Australian authorities accused of failing to combat antisemitism; Chabad emissary among victims

Two gunmen shot dead at least 11 people on Sunday at a Hanukkah event being held at Sydney’s Bondi Beach to mark the first night of the Jewish holiday, Australian authorities said, in one of the deadliest attacks targeting Jews outside Israel in decades and the worst on Jews abroad since Hamas’s October 7, 2023, attack.

Jewish leaders in Australia and Israeli officials described the deadly shooting as an outgrowth of rising antisemitism globally since October 7, 2023, with many accusing the Australian government of doing too little to protect the country’s Jewish community.

Australian officials declared the incident a terror attack, and the country’s prime minister vowed to “eradicate” antisemitism.

Among those killed was Rabbi Eli Schlanger, an emissary of the Chabad Lubavitch movement who has worked there for 18 years, according to Chabad sources.

At least 29 people were confirmed wounded, including two police officers, said Mal Lanyon, the police commissioner for New South Wales state, where Sydney is located.

Lanyon said the death toll was “fluid” and that wounded people were still arriving at hospitals.

The scene unfolded late Sunday afternoon as two men in black opened fire at the famed beach, with footage showing dramatic scenes of people scattering along the sand and into nearby streets and parks.

Eyewitnesses said they heard around 50 shots as the shooting went on for around 10 minutes.

The attack occurred as hundreds were gathering at a playground next to the beach for an event called Chanukah by the Sea, which was celebrating the start of the eight-day Hanukkah holiday.

“This attack was designed to target Sydney’s Jewish community,” said the New South Wales state’s premier, Chris Minns. The massacre was declared a terrorist attack due to the event targeted and weapons used, Lanyon said.

Police said the event had drawn more than 1,000 people. It was advertised as having live entertainment, food for purchase and games for children, all culminating in a grand menorah lighting.

Haim Levy told Israel’s Channel 12 news that he had been sitting with his wife, son and daughter at Bondi Beach when the shooting started.

“It was immediately clear that something [terrible] was happening,” he said. The three ran for cover, hiding behind cars in a parking lot as bullets whizzed overhead. Levy said he tried to keep his 2-year-old son quiet as they hid for fear the terrorists would hear and come and kill them. “Thank God we survived, when bullets were flying in all directions… It seemed never-ending.”

One gunman was killed and a second was taken into custody in serious condition, authorities said.

Dramatic footage, apparently filmed by a member of the public and broadcast on Australian television channels, showed someone appearing to tackle and disarm one of the gunmen, before pointing the attacker’s weapon at him. In the footage, a second person can be seen standing on a bridge and firing at people hiding between cars.

Another video captured from the air appeared to show the moment one of the gunmen on the bridge was shot. Footage also showed two men pressed onto the ground by uniformed police on a small pedestrian bridge. Officers could be seen trying to resuscitate one of the men. The footage could not be immediately verified.

U.S. Soldiers Killed In Ambush Near Palmyra

U.S. Soldiers Killed in Ambush Near Palmyra as Syria Fighting Intensifies Again
Kaley

We have some tragic news to report.

An ISIS attack in Syria has killed two U.S. soldiers and one civilian interpreter.

A lone gunman ambushed the American soldiers in the town of Palmyra.

In addition to the multiple deaths, three were wounded.

After the attack, reinforcements began to flood into the area — including fighter jets and helicopters.

U.S. SOLDIERS KILLED IN SYRIA, AND NOW PALMYRA’S A WARZONE AGAIN

Official U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) and Pentagon statements confirm 2 U.S. service members and one U.S. civilian (interpreter/contractor) was killed, plus 3 U.S. personnel wounded in an ambush by a lone ISIS gunman near Palmyra during a joint patrol with Syrian forces.

Now, American reinforcements are pouring into the area, backed by helicopters and fighter jets, as the Pentagon gears up for what looks like a full-scale military operation to clear the area.

Syrian army forces in the Al-Tanf area, which had been acting as agents for the Americans, appear to be excluded from this operation, as their role is limited to escorting convoys and deploying to close roads only.

Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell states on X:

“Their mission was in support of on-going counter-ISIS / counter-terrorism operations in the region… the soldiers’ names, as well as identifying information about their units, will be withheld until 24 hours after the next of kin notification.

This attack is currently under active investigation.”

President Trump mourned the loss of the soldiers and interpreter who were killed and vowed serious retaliation in a statement on Truth Social.

America’s Quiet Slide Into Social Scoring

America’s Quiet Slide Into Social Scoring
Aynaz Anni Cyrus

The Department of Homeland Security has proposed a rule that should have sent shock waves through every newsroom in the country: visitors entering the United States under visa-waiver programs may soon be required to hand over five years of their social-media history before boarding a plane. No context, no criminal suspicion, no triggering event, just a mandatory reveal of your digital life, tied directly to your passport.

On paper, the justification looks familiar. DHS presents the change as a security upgrade, a harmless modernization of screening tools to help identify threats. They repeat the same vocabulary Americans have been conditioned to accept for nearly twenty-five years: risk assessment, extremist detection, foreign influence, and national security, the same language now used to justify everything from online censorship programs to federal ‘misinformation’ monitoring teams.

The phrases sound responsible until you remember that the people most capable of harming the United States do not use traceable social-media accounts under their own names, and never will. The only individuals who will comply are ordinary travelers, the exact population governments always survey first, because they won’t fight back.

The United States is building the skeleton of a social-credit system, one that looks different from China’s on the surface but functions with the same relentless logic: link identity to digital behavior, evaluate individuals not by what they do but by what they have said, and create a permanent record that can be used to grant or deny access.

China didn’t begin with “social credit.” It began with real-name online registration, mandatory platform disclosure, automated behavioral analysis, and the normalization of state-monitored digital footprints. America is following the same path, only faster, and with more sophisticated technology and far fewer safeguards at its disposal. Because, unlike China, America has no legal framework at all to limit algorithmic judgment. Once the system exists, nothing restrains how far it expands.

There is a reason nearly every modern surveillance expansion starts with travelers, not citizens. The border is the one place where constitutional protections thin out, where courts almost always defer to executive power, and where the American public feels the least obligation to defend individual rights. A tourist from Belgium or Australia cannot vote, cannot call a senator, cannot challenge DHS in federal court, and cannot mobilize the media when their data is mishandled or archived without consent. They are the ideal testing ground because they have no political cost.

Europe Continues To Interfere In Ukraine's Last Chance For Peace

Europe Continues To Interfere In Ukraine's Last Chance For Peace

For those who understand the basics of attrition warfare, the outcome of the fight in Ukraine was obvious a long time ago.  Russia's superior logistical position along with its grinding offensive tactics have worn down Ukraine's defenses and left the country with a desperate manpower shortage.  The recent capture of the vital hub of Pokrovsk has now opened the door to an accelerating Russian advance.

The Russian offensive is gaining significant ground from Pokrovsk to the north, all the way to Kupiansk.  The strategic city of Siversk is now largely under control of Russia according to geo-location mapping.  Myrnohrad, also near Pokrovsk, has been flattened by artillery and FABs.

Ukraine's ability to stall Russian forces is faltering, allowing the Kremlin to move troops in a swift manner closer to maneuver warfare instead of the slow and methodical process of attrition.  Ukraine continues to deny they are in trouble, but the writing is on the wall.

This helps to explain Europe's sudden interest in "peace negotiation", but not for the purposes of establishing actual peace.  First and foremost, we know Europe is not interested in peace because they largely refuse to engage directly with Putin and Russia in negotiations.

Instead, European leaders continue to pretend as if they can establish a peace deal unilaterally without involving the Kremlin.  They have also consistently tried to sabotage Donald Trump's efforts for a quick resolution by deluding Zelensky with promises of access to Russian assets.

The Europeans have in fact announced their plan to confiscate Russian assets that have been frozen since the beginning of the war, using them to help fund Ukraine's military and infrastructure.  Trump had initially planned to use those assets as a bargaining chip to convince the Russians to support his peace plan.

Zelensky and European officials have spoken often about sustaining the war for at least another two years, which is foolish given the current state of Ukraine's front lines.  Russia does not need to conquer vast swaths of territory to win, all Russia needs to do is kill Ukrainian troops until there aren't enough left to maintain a proper defensive line.  After that, Zelensky will lose the whole country, not just the eastern third.

Europe also continues to push for troop deployments, using NATO as a "peacekeeping force" as part of the negotiations.  Putin has repeatedly stated that this would lead to wider war.  After all, it was the encroachment of NATO into Ukraine over a decade ago that ultimately triggered the current war.

Ukraine drone strikes on Russian infrastructure have been increasingly ineffective.  Their most recent attack involved nearly 300 drones with minimal success.   Ukraine called for a truce on attacks on energy infrastructure, indicating that their strikes are not doing as much damage as they would like.  The Kremlin rejected the offer.

It would appear that the Europeans are trying to use peace negotiations as a way to stop Russia's advance, arguing that there can be no peace until Russia agrees to a ceasefire.  As any tactician knows, ceasefires are often nothing more than a way to stall an offensive in order to gain an advantage over an enemy who thinks you are sincere.

Europe's behavior indicates they have no intention of ending the war.  Instead, they seem hellbent on expanding the conflict and turning it into a world war.
