Rocket sirens wail in Lebanon border town of Dovev

Incoming rocket sirens are sounding in the northern town of Dovev on the Lebanon border.

The alerts come amid repeated attacks from southern Lebanon on IDF posts and Israeli towns along the northern frontier.


IDF says mortars fired from Lebanon toward Mount Dov; troops shell source of attack

The Israel Defense Forces says mortars have been launched from Lebanon toward the contested Mount Dov border area, where there are a number of military positions and no towns.


The IDF says it is responding with artillery shelling against the sources of the fire.

Hezbollah and allied Palestinian terror groups have carried out repeated missile and rocket attacks against IDF posts and Israeli towns on the northern border in recent days.

The Israel Defense Forces says it has struck three Hezbollah terrorists who were identified by forces in southern Lebanon near Israel’s security barrier.

The IDF says it carried out a drone strike against the cell.

The Israel Defense Forces says troops operating near the northern town of Margaliot, on the Lebanon border, came under fire.

The IDF does not immediately provide information on potential casualties.

It says troops returned fire, and are currently scanning the area for suspects who may have infiltrated into Israeli territory.

The UK’s BBC news corporation has admitted mistakes were made in its coverage of a deadly blast Tuesday at a hospital parking lot in Gaza City, which many global media outlets attributed to Israel based on the Hamas terror group’s accusation, before mounting evidence emerged that a misfired Palestinian rocket was to blame and that the death toll is far smaller than the initially claimed 500.


The Israel Defense Forces says it has received reports of gunfire toward the northern town of Margaliot on the Lebanon border.

The IDF says troops are scanning the area, without immediately providing further details.

According to Hebrew-language media reports, a gunman may have infiltrated into Israel.

Residents of nearby towns are told to go into bomb shelters as a precaution, though most have already evacuated amid repeated rocket and missile attacks from Lebanon.
