The Israeli army (IDF) is once again calling on residents in the northern Gaza Strip and Gaza City to move south immediately.
The IDF spokesman, Daniel Hagari, emphasizes that this is a temporary measure and that the return of residents to their homes in northern Gaza will be possible "as soon as hostilities end."
The announcement comes in anticipation of a large-scale ground offensive that the Israeli military plans to launch, aimed at eliminating Hamas command centers and fighters.
"Attention citizens of Gaza. Listen carefully. This is an urgent military advisory from the Israel Defense Forces for your immediate safety. We urge all residents of Northern Gaza and Gaza City to temporarily relocate south."
"This is a temporary measure. Returning to Northern Gaza will be possible once heavy hostilities end. Hamas is putting your life at risk by placing weapons and forces in civilian areas in Gaza, including schools, mosques and hospitals."
