According to Politico and the New York Times the Biden administration has given Ukraine approval to launch U.S provided missiles into Russia.  {LINK} This is a major escalation of NATO engagement, likely intended to provoke Russia to strike alternate targets.  The people inside Ukraine responsible for using these U.S. provided weapons are likely not Ukranian.

CTH is in an unusually serendipitous position to analyze how Russia is responding to this shift in USA position.  The morale inside Russia is very high amid the military age population.  The recruitment efforts of the Russian government appear to be numerous and very effective.

There are thousands of newly enlisted military personnel very visible in/around training facilities.  There is no apparent tension discernable. Overall Russia appears to take great pride in their military, and it is considered a matter of honor and pride to support them.

WASHINGTON – The Biden administration has quietly given Ukraine permission to strike inside Russia — solely near the area of Kharkiv — using U.S.-provided weapons, two U.S. officials and two other people familiar with the move said Thursday, a major reversal that will help Ukraine to better defend its second-largest city.

It’s a stunning shift the administration initially said would escalate the war by more directly involving the U.S. in the fight. But worsening conditions for Ukraine on the battlefield –– namely Russia’s advances and improved position in Kharkiv –– led the president to change his mind. (read more)

The Chinese Defense Ministry on Thursday strongly condemned the US deployment of an intermediate-range missile system to the Philippines during military drills that were conducted in April and the first half of May.

During Washington and Manila’s annual Balikatan exercises, the US deployed a Typhon launcher, a covert system that is concealed in a 40-foot shipping container and fires Tomahawk and SM-6 missiles.

The Typhon system would have been banned under the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty, a treaty between the US and Russia that the US scrapped in 2019. It prohibited land-based missile systems with a range between 310 and 3,400 miles.

Tomahawk missiles can hit targets up to about 1,150 miles away, making any land-based variant banned under the INF. The SM-6 missiles have a range of 290 miles, and US officials believe they could be effective against Chinese ships.

US officials previously told The New York Times that the purpose of developing and deploying the Typhon launcher is to prepare for a war with China, whether over Taiwan or the South China Sea.

Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Wu Qian said the deployment of the Typhon system increased the risk of conflict.

"The United States and Philippine practices put the entire region under the fire of the United States (and) brought huge risks of war into the region,” Wu said, according to Reuters.

"Intermediate-range missiles are strategic and offensive weapons with a strong Cold War color," the statement added.

Last week, the Los Angeles Times reported that “two sets of earthquake swarms” just hit California. It turns out that these swarms, together with some in nearby Nevada, produced an astounding 1,000 earthquakes between the two states in a single week.

“To me, whenever that number goes about 1,000, we are officially in the danger zone,” commented Michael from End of the American Dream (EAD). “Hopefully there will not be a very large earthquake in California any time soon, but when there is this much shaking going on we should all be on alert.”

The largest of the 1,000 was not all that large: a 4.1 magnitude quake that rattled Imperial County, located near the Salton Sea. The epicenter was 18 miles south of Salton City and four miles southeast of Ocotillo Wells, occurring at 5:17 a.m. on May 22.

Residents as far as Chula Vista near San Diego, Mission Viejo in Orange County, and Highland and Indio in other surrounding areas reported feeling the quake.

Before that one, there were two other “earthquake swarms” that reportedly alarmed scientists. These occurred along the California-Mexico border.

The U.S. Geological Survey reported that more than two dozen quakes with a magnitude of greater than 2.5 hit the region just after midnight last Saturday. The general area of their epicenters is 175 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles and 100 miles northeast of San Diego.

“They have occurred largely along farmland between the towns of Brawley and Imperial in Imperial County,” it was reported. “The largest quake was a magnitude 3.9 that struck at 4:05 p.m. Saturday, bringing light shaking to the Imperial Valley as well as south of the border and rattling Mexicali.”

Just before that swarm, another one occurred “about 18 miles southeast of Mexicali in Baja California,” Baja California being a West Coast region of Mexico and not the state of California here in the U.S. The largest in that swarm was a magnitude 4.2.

The public has been hearing for years that California is long overdue for the “big one,” so these latest swarms are turning heads as they could be pointing to a worst-case scenario in the coming days.

Either these are foreshocks or they are the fault lines releasing pressure and buying more time, so to speak, before the big one eventually and inevitably hits.

If the big one did strike, “it would be a matter of a few tens of seconds before the shaking from a San Andreas event that ruptures the segments closest to Los Angeles reach our urban areas,” commented John Stewart from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

The California Earthquake Authority estimates that the big one will cause destruction in a 100-mile radius from the entire fault line which is massive, stretching from Eureka all the way in northern California to Palm Springs in the south.

We have discussed in detail how Chinese, mostly military-aged men crossing the U.S. border, has increased 8,500% from March 2021 to March 2024, but that is just a small part of the bigger picture when we consider how much of America is literally owned by the Chinese, who with their close alliance with Russia, are hostile to the U.S.

The chart provided in the above-linked ANP article, shown below again, offers a visual of what we are up against as the Biden regime allows more and more foreign nations, including from countries highly hostile to the U.S., into the country.

Then on May 29, 2024, ANP published a piece titled "US Admiral Warns Foreign Nationals Are Breaching U.S. Naval Bases 2-3 Times A Week Now: 'They Are Coming At Us Fast And Thick With An Unprecedented Surge Of Chinese Nationals'.

Caudle further stated, “This is Russian, Chinese. This comes from all these different nations. We’re seeing an uptick in it.”

Then yesterday, we see a piece on MSN first published on New York Post, asking "Are Biden officials covering up an attempted terror attack by illegal immigrants?"

This time it was the Quantico Marine Corps base, where two Jordanian illegal aliens drove a box truck to the gates of Quantico.

They claimed to be Amazon delivery drivers, and tried to access a site that houses the FBI training academy, military officer training schools, and military criminal investigations and intelligence commands.

Quick-thinking military police stopped the truck, and charged the men with trespassing before turning them over to US Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

No one knows what happened after that because the government refused to answer whether these men were on any terror watchlist, and in fact, covered up the entire story for two weeks until a local news outlet broke the story and forced them to finally admit it had happened.

According to the local reported that broke that story, one of those men were on our terror watchlist.

It gets much worse.

On May 24, 2024, Chief National Security Correspondent for Fox News, Jennifer Griffin, reported "New details on shooting in Carthage, North Carolina that involves an elite SF Army Colonel and two Chechens (Russians) who were in the country illegally. Special Ops have reported increasing foreign surveillance of them and their families raising concerns about vulnerabilities. (Video)

A mysterious shooting in North Carolina north of Fort Liberty, formerly Fort Bragg, not far from where some of America’s most elite U.S. Special Operations forces live and train is under investigation by the Army Criminal Investigation Division as well as local police. The shooting in Carthage, North Carolina occurred May 3 at 8:15 p.m. following a phone call about a suspected trespasser near a Special Forces soldier's property.

Two Chechen men who spoke broken English were found near the soldier's home. The family alleges the suspected intruder, 35-year-old Ramzan Daraev of Chicago was taking photos of their children. When confronted near a power line in a wooded part of the property, an altercation ensued and Daraev was shot several times at close range. A second man, Dzhankutov Adsalan, was in a vehicle some distance from the incident and was questioned by authorities and then released. The Moore County Sheriff's office is leading the investigation.

The Biden regime is also refusing to "reveal the nationalities of people on the FBI terror watchlist arrested at the border by Border Patrol, citing "privacy interests" of those involved," according to Fox News.

The privacy interests of illegal aliens, on the FBI terror list, is more important that telling us where the terrorists entering the country illegally, are from.

Instead of protecting Americans from the terrorists, they are protecting the terrorists from Americans.

The Shadow Sailor just raised his anchor and headed for the Canal. We had spent an intense three hours discussing his concerns and his strategy.

Certainly there were real advantages to the Wide Waters of the Pacific. But we knew our archipelago intimately. The incidents that had motivated him to shift from thought into action – that had caused him to “go nuclear” – were the recent missile attacks in the Ukraine/Russian war. The targets had been of no value to the Ukrainian military. Instead, they had struck early warning Russian radar sites designed to detect a surprise attack from nuclear missiles launched from the USA.

It would be hard to fashion a more “eat dung and die” provocation than that.

Certainly, senior American military officials realize that they cannot defeat Russia in a conventional war now or in the near future. Every one of their supposedly high-tech weapons systems that they have gifted to the Ukrainians have been easily defeated in the battle-sphere.

Yet, the American Neocons still refuse to negotiate, and seem driven to an endgame where every fighting-age Ukrainian male is either dead or an amputee.

The Shadow Sailor continued his explanation by noting that the West knows that it cannot win a conventional war with Russia, either through its proxy, Ukraine, or directly. So why do they continue to “poke the Bear?”

Are they so delusional that they think that they could win a nuclear war?

He then rattled off some indisputable facts that seemed to support that possibility. The so-called Elites, who I call our Malignant Overlords, would know the appointed hour for a sneak attack, so they could retreat to their fully stocked bunkers and thus survive.

Plus, many of these “deciders” are in favor of massive planetary depopulation and would not mourn the incineration of billions of people.

Further evidence is the fact that many billionaires have also recently built under-ground escape bunkers. They would not be spending millions and millions of dollars on these, unless someone had clued them into impending catastrophe.

Even the Doomsday Clock is closer to midnight than it has ever been since its was first created.

I countered his arguments by saying that even the most vicious of the Malignant Overlords, while striving towards some new world arrangement, would prefer a functioning infrastructure rather than a global ashtray. He responded that I was ascribing to them a level of rationality that they simply do not possess.

What is rational about killing another 100,000 more Ukrainian soldiers with the vague purpose of helping Biden’s re-election prospects. What is rational about blowing up the Nordstream Pipeline, that harmed the Germans far more than the Russians? What is rational about economic sanctions that have accelerated the growth of the BRICS alliance, which will hasten the Death of the Dollar?

The Shadow Sailor further lamented the fact that for security reasons Russia could not TRUST the United States leadership. They vowed to not move NATO one inch eastward toward Russia and then spent decades doing just that.

They designed the Minsk Agreement to resolve territorial differences between Russia and Ukraine. Later it was revealed that this was just a charade to allow Ukraine to build up its NATO armed and trained military.

The U.S. claimed that they would not provide Zelensky certain weapons systems, but then eventually gave him Abrams tanks and advanced missiles and F-16 combat aircraft.

Such profound lack of trust exacerbates the “tripwire effect.” This means that if the Russian missile defense forces detect an incoming attack, they will be far more likely to launch retaliatory strikes immediately.

During the Cold War there were several instances when false alarms occurred that were swiftly double-checked thus averting a nuclear catastrophe. The chances of such calm decision-making prevailing in our current conditions is far, far lower.

They did it. They have sown the wind—now let them reap the whirlwind. The injustice of the Trump trial in New York, and the conviction verdict lit the fuse of something the Deep State Left never expected.

Despite the trial and the verdict, Donald Trump was never the target—we were. It was intended to show us that if so popular and powerful a figure as Donald Trump could be treated so, then the same or worse could happen to any of us who dared step out of line. Like other attempts in the past to intimidate the American people into submission, it has only served to awaken a force beyond reckoning.

The options for the Deep State/Progressive Left are rapidly evaporating. For all practical purposes, there are only three remaining. They can rig the November election as they did in 2020 to elect their chosen slate. They can provoke a major war to justify a declaration of martial law so they can postpone "for the duration" the election. Lastly, they can eliminate Trump as a candidate through assassination or incapacitation.

They have tried impeachment, removing him from the ballots, declaring him unqualified through insurrection, stopping him from campaigning, and now through potential incarceration following a rigged trial. There isn't much left to try.

Yes, they could simply accept reality and surrender to an inevitable transfer of power. As the Brits might say: "Not bloody likely". Like so many of the powerful of the past, our power elite have no inclination to relinquish their positions. Their attitude is more "We don't want to live in a world where we are not in power, and we don't want you to either. If we can't have our way, we will make sure there is nothing left for you." "You thought you had a government of the people. You were mistaken. Submit or pay the price, just like we will make Trump pay."

No matter what happens now, the Rubicon has been crossed.  

While they will still probably try, rigging the election will be difficult.  Too many are watching now, and no-one is willing to accept another 2020.  

They are working hard to build the Ukraine situation into a war with Russia, including working on a mutual defense pact with Ukraine.  

It is doubtful, though, that Ukraine can hold out for another month, much less until November, even with US aid.  The Middle East is also unpromising as an excuse for war.  They may be able to foment domestic unrest sufficient to justify martial law, but that is not certain.

Their final solution looks more and more likely.  Cut off the head, and the body dies.  No more MAGA, except that would be an even bigger mistake than any of the lawfare options to date, including Thursday’s conviction.  

This United States will not be the same again.  

Equal justice under the law has been one of the principal shared values of Americans.  From the Superman films of the ‘60s with Superman always standing up for "Truth, Justice, and the American Way of Life" to our common pledge "... with liberty and justice for all.", the concept of equal justice with one law for all has been a rock on which this nation has been built.  The Progressive Left has sought to shatter that rock.  There will be a price to be paid.

They promised a fundamental Transformation of this country.  Perhaps now they will get it—just not the transformation they desired.

A few weeks ago, the Guardian published a video of U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken performing a cover of Neil Young’s “Keep On Rockin’ in the Free World” with noisy band in a bar in Kiev. The video conjured embarrassing memories from my own distant past, when I occasionally inflicted bad performances of three chord songs on an audience at a grungy bar in Vienna’s 8th District.

I console myself that I was a young and drunk bohemian ex-pat, and not the U.S. Secretary of State. When I saw the video of Blinken’s performance, I was overwhelmed with a terrible foreboding. Who is this man making momentous decisions that could result in the deaths of millions? How could this possibly be happening?

This morning I read the following brilliant essay by fellow Substack author, Jeff Childers. Thank you Mr. Childers for taking the time to write such a thorough exposition of terrible, unprecedented territory into which our insane government is leading us.

In a story that is actually about what must either be the incalculable stupidity or planet-sized mendacity of the United States government about the single most important debate of our lifetime, a debate that is not being held, the New York Times ran more war propoganda yesterday headlined, “Blinken Hints U.S. May Accept Ukrainian Strikes in Russia With American Arms.” Antony Blinken is everywhere these days. He’s like the Pale Rider of Revelation, dragging Hell and destruction everywhere he goes. The headline is wrong; Blinken didn’t just hint. He said them; the most provocative and escalatory words ever uttered by a Secretary of State.

And it was much worse than the headline suggested. Blinken didn’t just say Ukraine could use American weapons to strike targets in continental Russia. The moronic Secretary of State said we would help Ukraine do it:

Where is the Congress while Blinken is out running his mouth like this? Is there anyone left in government who wants to stop World War III from breaking out over the rubble of Ukraine?

This is exactly what we all predicted would happen two years ago when Biden first drove us into the Ukrainian bog.

We have lived long enough to witness the final failure of the long-lauded policy of Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD). It’s been replaced with Mutually Assured Brinksmanship. And at the end of the day, it was us, the United States, that shattered MAD into a million dagger-like fragments.

Putin gave an interview yesterday. In the interview, he responded to this idiotic proposal to fire long-range strategic weapons directly at Russia. The full interview transcript is up on the Russian government website. The Times could easily have found it there, and quoted Russia’s president, but they ignored him, because they are Putin-deranged. Or something even worse.

Since nobody else will provide the life-and-death, critical Russian point of view about the Biden Administration’s ‘evolving’ policy, I will tell you what Putin said. (He’s a little wordy, and it’s translated, so I’ll edit for brevity and clarity.) You can read the original interview for yourself (and you should) at the link above. Here’s what Putin said, not responding to Blinken, but to similar comments made yesterday by UN Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, another intellectually-depleted gasbag.

Concerning the strikes, frankly, I am not sure what the NATO Secretary General is talking about. When he was the Prime Minister of Norway, we communicated often, and I am positive he was not suffering from dementia back then. If he is talking about potentially attacking Russia’s territory with long-range precision weapons, even though he is a civilian like me, he should be aware that long-range precision weapons cannot be used by Ukraine without space-based reconnaissance assistance from NATO.

Final target selection and ‘launch mission’ can only be programmed by highly skilled NATO specialists who rely on NATO’s space-based technical reconnaissance data. For some attack systems, such as British Storm Shadow, these launch missions occur without help from any Ukrainian military. So who does it? Those who manufacture and supply these attack systems to Ukraine do it.

This can and does happen without the participation of the Ukrainian military.

Other missile systems, such as U.S.-supplied ATACMS, likewise rely on space reconnaissance data. Targets are identified and automatically communicated to the launch crews who may not even realise what targets they are programming the missiles to hit. In other words, the launch mission is assembled by NATO officers, not the Ukrainian military.

If you ask me, Putin’s next warning about the dire consequences was, if anything, highly restrained. Using diplomatic words, he soberly warned that Russia would retaliate against any nation that attacks it, regardless of picky technicalities like which base the missile launched from. In Putin’s careful words:

These officials from NATO countries, especially the smaller European countries, should be fully aware of what is at stake. Before talking about ‘striking deep into Russian territory,’ they should remember that their countries are small and densely populated. It is a serious matter, and we are watching it very carefully.

This unending escalation can lead to serious consequences. If Europe were to face those serious consequences, what would the United States do, considering our strategic arms parity? It is hard to tell.

Do they WANT a global conflict?

Our corporate media loves wailing about how Putin is threatening nuclear war again, but have you noticed they never directly quote him? Honestly, I am no Putin fan, but I still find Putin’s arguments clear, thoughtful, and compelling. I defy anyone to explain how any of it was disinformation.

Putin’s interview included even more fascinating information unaccountably absent from our own media’s analysis. One great example is Putin’s precise, lawyerly discussion about why Zelensky is a non-president under Ukraine’s constitution, despite his self-serving martial law declaration.

I don’t know what could possibly be a more important and necessary national discussion than this debate about helping Ukraine attack Russian territory. But nobody except the Times’ mysterious “aides,” spooks, and ghosts appear to be having the debate. And as I said, you should read the whole Putin interview for yourself.

I suppose that congratulations are in order.  It is no small feat to pile up a debt of $315,000,000,000,000, and we will never see a mountain of debt of this magnitude ever again after it comes crashing down.  Even though delinquency rates are rising all over the world, as long as conditions remain at least somewhat relatively stable the game will be able to continue.  Unfortunately, conditions won’t be relatively stable for long.  Global events have started to accelerate significantly, and that is really going to shake things up in the months ahead.

According to a report that was just released by the Institute of International Finance, the total amount of debt in the world has reached a grand total of 315 trillion dollars…

“This increase marks the second consecutive quarterly rise and was primarily driven by emerging markets, where debt surged to an unprecedented high of over $105 trillion—$55 trillion more than a decade ago,” the IIF said in its quarterly Global Debt Monitor report released in May.

We are in the midst of the greatest global debt binge in the history of the world.

Household debt is at a level we have never seen before, business debt is at a level we have never seen before, and government debt is at a level we have never seen before…

Of the $315 trillion debt stock, household debt, which includes mortgages, credit cards and student debt, among others, amounted to $59.1 trillion.

Business debt, which corporations use to finance their operations and growth, stood at $164.5 trillion, with the financial sector alone making up $70.4 trillion of that amount. Public debt made up the rest at $91.4 trillion.

For the moment, conditions are at least somewhat relatively stable, and so everything seems fine.

But it won’t take much to push us over the edge.

For example, during a recent interview with Greg Hunter, Chris Martenson suggested that a Chinese invasion of Taiwan could trigger a sudden meltdown of the bond market…

In a new market meltdown, Dr. Martenson sees chaos and gives a hypothetical example: “China attacks Taiwan, and there is a 10 sigma move in the bond market. Oh no, all these derivatives have blown up. These people are supposed to be winners, and these people are supposed to be all losers. No, no, they don’t have any money for that stuff. It’s too complicated. I don’t think anybody understands how this works anymore. I could not find anybody who could tell me the whole thing. I could find people who knew bits and pieces, but they knew their slice. . . . I am trying to stitch this thing all together. I get uncomfortable when I can’t answer the most basic questions, and that is how much risk is there in the system and where is it?”

In short, Dr. Martenson is worried about the whole financial system going down. Dr. Martenson says, “Yes, I am worried about the whole system going down, and that leads to all sorts of speculation. . . . Imagine this, we wake up one day, and the markets are not open on Monday. Oh no, glitch. Problem. Then, it’s two days and not open, three days not open. People are getting worried. Friday, and the markets are still not open. Monday comes, and they say it’s a super big problem, and we don’t know how to resolve it. . . . They offer you 100% value today in a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) account or you can wait it out and hope it gets resolved, and it might take a decade.”

The moment that the Chinese invade Taiwan, the U.S. and China will be at war.

This is one of the three major wars that I have been warning about for a long time.

Unfortunately, the Chinese continue to become more aggressive toward Taiwan.  In fact, late last week they conducted the biggest practice run that we have seen so far…

China wrapped up a two-day, large-scale military exercise Friday after its forces deployed 111 aircraft and 46 naval vessels to areas around Taiwan.

Taiwan’s National Defense Ministry said 82 Chinese military aircraft crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait and some got very close to the 24-nautical-mile line that Taiwan uses to define its contiguous zone.

Meanwhile, both sides just continue to escalate matters in Ukraine.

It is being reported that French forces will soon be heading to Ukraine to help “train” Ukrainian troops, and that is a very ominous development…

Ukraine’s military says it is ‘welcoming’ French trainers in Ukraine, in new remarks which strongly suggest that for the first time France is deploying its troops to Ukraine soil. This marks the beginning of major ‘boots on the ground’ escalation in a formal, public capacity by a NATO state.

We are getting closer and closer to the day when western forces will be in direct conflict with Russian forces, and this is something that I have been warning about for many years.

The third major war that will greatly shake the entire planet is the war that has erupted in the Middle East.

Israeli forces keep going even deeper into Rafah, and the IDF and Hezbollah continue to exchange fire along the northern front.

Eventually this war is going to escalate to an extremely dangerous level, and we could potentially see that happen by the end of this calendar year.

In addition to military conflict, major pestilences are also a factor that could turn the global financial system upside down.

Earlier today, we learned that over 4 million chickens at just one farm in Iowa will have to be destroyed because of a bird flu outbreak there…

More than 4 million chickens in Iowa will have to be killed after a case of the highly pathogenic bird flu was detected at a large egg farm, the state announced Tuesday.

Crews are in the process of killing 4.2 million chickens after the disease was found at a farm in Sioux County, Iowa, making it the latest in a yearslong outbreak that now is affecting dairy cattle as well. Last week, the virus was confirmed at an egg farm west of Minneapolis, Minnesota, leading to the slaughter of nearly 1.4 million chickens.

Overall, 92.34 million birds have been killed since the outbreak began in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Please keep in mind that the figure that the U.S. Department of Agriculture is quoting is just for the United States.

Overall, hundreds of millions of birds have been killed around the globe since the beginning of this pandemic.

Let’s just hope that H5N1 does not mutate into a form that can spread easily from human to human, because if that happens our planet will be paralyzed by fear on a much higher level than we experienced during the last pandemic.

It is also being reported that a hemorrhagic fever that can cause “Ebola-like bleeding” is rapidly spreading among rodents in northern Europe…

So much is happening right now, but what we have experienced so far is just the tip of the iceberg compared to what is coming.

It won’t be too long before we are being hit by one catastrophic event after another, and that is going to cause tremendous chaos for the global financial system.
