Axis of Terror – Hezbollah’s Nasrallah meets with Hamas and PIJ leaders ‘to bring victory for Gaza’

Hezbollah Sec.-Gen. Hassan Nasrallah hosted leaders from Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad on Tuesday morning in Beirut, Lebanon to discuss the fighting in Gaza and their cooperation.

Hamas Deputy Leader Saleh al-Arouri and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) leader Ziad Nakhaleh held a meeting with Nasrallah to discuss “a real victory in Gaza and Palestine and [how] to stop the Israeli aggression in Gaza and the West Bank.”

The terror group leaders agreed to continue coordination and regular monitoring of developments on a daily basis.

A photo of the meeting was released this morning by Hezbollah’s media arm, al-Manar, apparently in response to recent demands from sympathetic elements in Lebanon who had been questioning why Nasrallah appeared to be absent from the conflict.

A few days ago, a Hezbollah member of the Lebanese parliament, Hassan Fadlallah, addressed Nasrallah’s apparent absence, stating: “Nasrallah is constantly monitoring the events in southern Lebanon and Gaza, supervising the conduct of the campaign and is in direct contact with Hezbollah's field commanders, supervising all events on the ground and political contacts.”

The Al-Manar channel also published a letter written to Hezbollah fighters in which Nasrallah said those killed in fighting against Israel would be called “the martyrs on the way to Jerusalem.”

The meeting between Nasrallah and leaders of Hamas and PIJ comes after hundreds of Hamas military and governmental targets were struck by Israel during the past 24 hours, including tunnel shafts, military headquarters, weapons depots and mortar and anti-tank missile launching positions. The IDF also killed several Hamas commandos attempting to infiltrate Israel near Kibbutz Zikim in the southern region.

The IDF struck a Syrian military site in response to launches into Israel in the southern part of the Golan Heights on Tuesday night.

Some analysts believe Hezbollah could enter the conflict completely if the IDF begins a ground invasion into the Gaza Strip.
