A powerful explosion rocked the General Dynamics plant in Camden, which produces weapons and tactical systems in the US state of Arkansas. The plant is one of the largest manufacturers of various weapons systems in the United States. Among other things, it produces weapons for Ukraine.
Many are talking about an expansion of hybrid sabotage attacks, from Europe to the US. Warnews 24/7 has reported extensively on Russian operations against civilian infrastructure in Finland, including power plants, water treatment plants, information networks, physical infrastructure, healthcare infrastructure, municipal infrastructure, energy infrastructure and welfare facilities.
Our last publication was yesterday with the title: "Fears that B.Putin has activated the "Red Orchestra": Crescendo of massive breaches of critical security infrastructure in Finland!"
The above actions come amid an increase in low-level sabotage operations in Europe that are reported to be part of a Russian campaign to undermine support for Ukraine's war effort.
The Arkansas plant occupies more than 880,000 square feet. It houses production and storage facilities and produces weapon systems such as Hellfire and Javelin missiles. In addition, this factory produces mortar ammunition.
The explosion resulted in two injuries and one person missing, according to company spokesman Berkley Whaley. "At this time, we are working with first responders and can confirm that the incident resulted in at least two injuries and one person missing ," Whaley said in a statement. It should be noted that the company's initial announcement spoke of "fireworks".
Multiple hacking attacks and espionage incidents have been reported in various European countries. At the same time, the European Union has accused Russia and Belarus of using migration as a weapon by pushing asylum seekers from third countries to its borders. Strange, since Turkey does the same, however it does not cause discomfort in the European Union.
There have also been several suspicious attacks on individuals: a Russian defector was found shot dead in Spain and an opposition exile in Lithuania was brutally attacked with a hammer.
The map below shows the countries in Europe that received hybrid attacks from Putin's "Red Orchestra" in 2024 alone.
"The aim is to break the will of the citizens and to break the support for Ukraine. If you've been living peacefully in your country and suddenly you have a series of terrorist attacks, all of which are attributed to your country supporting Ukraine, that puts pressure on your support for Ukraine ," said Olga Lautman, a security researcher who specializes in the intersection of organized crime and intelligence operations in Russia.
NATO has for months warned of Russia's unconventional attacks in the West, saying Moscow is using espionage, cyber attacks, election interference, disinformation and sabotage to try to destabilize the bloc and weaken its resolve to help Ukraine.
Our conclusions are that after Russia has spent decades testing the reflexes of the West's military and political infrastructure, it has now gone on the counterattack, implementing measures of extensive sabotage.
The attack on the General Dynamics factory is the most daring operation of the "Red Orchestra", in the context of the undeclared hybrid war against the West, which, with the delivery of weapons to Ukraine, does not allow the war to end with a victory for Russia on the field.
