According to a new report from WIRED magazine, millions of Americans have had their digital and communication privacy utterly compromised by the wireless carrier.
The breach of privacy has occurred through an obscure program known as Data Analytical Services (DAS), previously, the protocol was known as ‘Hemisphere.’
This program has reportedly analyzed trillions of phone records from unsuspecting Americans. Just The News explained:
The program uses a technique known as chain analysis. This goes after those who have been in direct contact with a criminal suspect and anyone else who has had communications with them.
What’s worse is that the program hands over sensitive personal details, including addresses, locations, and dates, of pretty much anyone in the network to law enforcement agencies.
Sources also claim that the White House has handed over millions of dollars to ensure the program continues to run.
