It’s a showdown which could determine the future of Western civilization.
Hungary’s nationalist government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Viktor Orban, is preparing to implement a series of measures to confront illegal immigration.
And his measures are a direct threat to the plans of arguably the most influential pro-migration activist in the world – plutocrat George Soros.
The plan, dubbed the “Stop Soros” program by government spokesman Zoltan Kovacs, includes a crackdown on so-called Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) which are on the front lines of the campaign to replace Europe’s indigenous population with Third World migrants. As reported by WND, the United Nations, in coordination with a number of NGOs, is pushing a campaign of “replacement migration” targeting a number of Western European nations, as well as the United States.
The “Stop Soros” program would include mandatory registration of some NGOs which push illegal immigration, a tax on foreign donations collected by NGOs and restraining orders on activists preventing them from approaching the nations borders.
Another law would prevent foreign nationals who support illegal migration from entering the country.
Since fortifying its borders with fences, Hungary has successfully cut what was once a tide of illegal immigration into a trickle. Of course, because the border fences have been so effective, NGOs which aim to increase migration into Europe oppose them, with one Serbian NGO, the “Belgrade Centre for Protection and Help for Asylum-Seekers,” calling Hungary’s fences a violation of European human-rights agreements.
Hungary has already passed a law requiring foreign funded organizations which receive more than $29,400 to register with the government and display the words “foreign organization” on all publications.
Soros has condemned the Hungarian government’s anti-immigration program, terming Orban’s actions as “deeply troubling developments” and accusing Hungary of copying actions similar to “Europe’s darkest hours.” Soros also claimed he understands the plight of refugees “as a survivor of the Holocaust who hid from the Nazis.”
The European Union is also trying to stop Hungary’s attempt to defend its sovereignty, demanding Orban cease his crackdown on NGOs. The leadership of the European Union is strongly opposed to conservative national governments, recently sanctioning the nationalist government of Poland because of its attempt to remove judges from the communist era.
Tensions between Eastern Europe and the mostly Western European EU leadership are already high because of the migrant crisis, which Orban blames on nations such as Germany.
“We don’t see these people as Muslim refugees,” he recently told the German newspaper Bild. “We see them as Muslim invaders.”
He went on to call multiculturalism “only an illusion” and argued “Christian and Muslim society will never unite.”
When challenged by reporters on why Hungary should be allowed to accept so few “refugees” when Germany accepts so many, Orban shot back, “The difference is, you wanted the migrants, and we didn’t.”
Not surprisingly, besides condemnation from Soros and the European Union, Hungary’s “Stop Soros” program has sparked strong criticism from the leftist press. In the past, reporters from leftist sources such as the Washington Post have met with Soros in order to help shape media narratives.
Matthew Vadum of the Capital Research Center argues Soros began to view himself as a kind of god after he made massive profits from hedge funds.
At a recent conference, Vadum, an investigative reporter who penned “Subversion, Inc.” to describe the agenda of radical leftist “community organizing” groups such as ACORN, argued open borders is at the heart of Soros’ globalist agenda.
“He doesn’t think the United States should have any borders,” Vadum said. “Some would say that maybe this is because this benefits his business. Perhaps, I don’t believe that, though. I think that he is doing it for ideological, philosophical reasons. He either thinks it’s the right thing to do or it’s the right way to undermine America, driving worker wages down, expanding the welfare state.”
He’s also been bankrolling continuous demonstrations designed to prevent law enforcement from deporting illegal immigrants. Soros is also the top funder of a new anti-Trump group with the mission of fighting voter ID laws.
Most disturbing of all for those who do want to limit Third World immigration into the West, Soros may be just getting started. In October, Soros donated an astounding $18 billion to his Open Society Foundations, three times the amount of money spent by all parties in all races during the 2016 election cycle, according to Joel Pollak at Breitbart.
