US President Donald Trump won't stop merely as cutting financial aid if the Palestinian Authority doesn't change its belligerent tune, and soon.
According to sources that spoke to Israel's Channel 2 News, Trump told Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Davos last week that he might soon shutter the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) offices in Washington.
Those offices serve as a de facto embassy for the Palestinian Authority, despite the fact that under the "Oslo Accords" the Palestinians aren't supposed to be conducting foreign relations prior to a final status agreement.
In speaking to the press at the World Economic Forum, Trump addressed the issue of American aid to the Palestinians:
"They disrespected us a week ago by not allowing our great vice president to see them, and we give them hundreds of millions of dollars in aid and support — tremendous numbers, numbers that nobody understands. That money is not going to them unless they sit down and negotiate peace."
