Coming Soon: Revelation 6-18 (aka The Tribulation)

Every day we see it in the news. Creeping in like dusk in the evenings - slowly but surely the darkness increases and suddenly you realize it is completely dark outside. For anyone reading the news with one eye on prophecy we can see the antichrist's reign ready to roll - the road has been paved and now the world unwittingly awaits its leader. Overt control over the masses, whether seen from the UN, the IMF, the expansion of the EU, the progressive loss of freedoms in the U.S., the Federal Reserve's control over the economy, UN Agenda 21, the collapse of the world's financial system and what it will lead to, and on and on this list goes. Most citizens of the world, outside of prophecy watchers have absolutely no idea what is coming.

Just like the days of Noah.

Come quickly Lord.

If the United Nations and fellow climate alarmists get their way on restricting carbon dioxide, the poor will soon be getting poorer — much, much poorer — especially in places such as Africa, Latin America, and large swaths of Asia. It is hardly an exaggeration to suggest that millions could die of starvation, cold, and more. Despite bogus promises of abundant, government-mandated “green” energy (think Solyndra), Europeans, Americans, Japanese, and others who live in developed countries will suffer greatly, too. The devastation will be particularly severe among the least well-off.

Earth’s would-be rulers, however, do not seem to care. The radical UN plan to fight “climate change,” as outlined by the global body amid the implosion of its man-made global-warming theory, would dramatically curtail available energy supplies. If adopted, nobody disputes the fact that the scheme would grant unprecedented powers over people, businesses, and governments to planetary bureaucrats. The multi-trillion-dollar ploy would also wreak havoc on the global economy — virtually every human activity, including breathing, releases carbon dioxide.
On top of that, experts say the plan would have virtually no effect on the climate. Indeed, all of the UN climate models have already been thoroughly debunked as global warming, in defiance of hysterical predictions, stopped over a decade and a half ago (see companion article on page 25). But the agenda was never really to stop “global cooling,” “global warming,” or even “climate change,” so it is hardly surprising to learn that the UN is nowhere near ready to give up on its vision of complete planetary dominance.

With its latest report, the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) formally called for national rulers to help foist what it calls a “carbon budget” on humanity — rationing CO2 emissions in a supposed effort to stop potential future temperature increases. The global body’s “solution” to the alleged anthropogenic (man-made) global-warming problem, however, can be summarized neatly without any mention of “climate” or “carbon”: More power and money for governments and international bureaucrats; less freedom and prosperity for humanity as a whole.
Based on the findings of its widely ridiculed Fifth Assessment Report (AR5), the UN “carbon budget” would, among other measures, drastically limit man-made CO2 emissions — and therefore limit energy production and all economic activity — by empowering a global climate regime to rule over humanity. Prices, of course, would necessarily skyrocket — the cost of everything from food and electricity to gasoline and travel would inevitably soar.
More concrete UN policy demands are expected by early 2014, when another section of the IPCC report is due to be released. The schemes outlined in the upcoming document, produced by one of the UN’s global-warming working groups, will undoubtedly be seized upon ahead of the 2015 UN climate summit in Paris by power-hungry planetary bureaucrats, governments, dictators, crony capitalists, and other special interests hoping to benefit from the alarmism.

Analysts, even in the establishment media, pointed out that one of the key purposes of the IPCC report was actually to help provide a semblance of public support for the anti-CO2regulatory scheme sought by would-be global authorities. And already, as if on cue, UN schemers, communist dictatorships, and Western powers are loudly lining up behind the plot. In many cases — the Obama administration’s schemes, for example — efforts to fasten the elements of the regime on populations are already under way.

Obama’s radical science czar John Holdren, who in 1977 proposed forced abortions and secretly drugging the water supply with sterilants to deal with a supposed population crisis that never came, echoed Kerry’s alarmism. In comments about the IPCC’s claims — even though 100 percent of its climate models were wrong — he said, “The kinds of harm already being experienced from climate change will continue to worsen unless and until comprehensive and vigorous action to reduce emissions is undertaken worldwide.”
European Union “Climate Commissioner” Connie Hedegaard, another prominent alarmist whose job depends on the perpetuation of global-warming theories, demanded that the UN’s “carbon budget” for humanity be taken into account during the 2015 UN “climate” summit. “Hopefully this will add momentum for governments to act — 2015 is the deadline when all governments must be ready to commit internationally,” the EU climate czar decreed.

As UN alarmists become increasingly shrill while their wild demands become more transparent and outlandish, their theories are falling apart at breathtaking speed. That means the planetary body and national governments, which are desperately seeking to expand their own power under the guise of saving the climate, are in a race against time to get the global carbon/governmental regime in place.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) quietly dropped a bomb in its OctoberFiscal Monitor Report. Titled “Taxing Times,” the report paints a dire picture for advanced economies with high debts that fail to aggressively “mobilize domestic revenue.” It goes on to build a case for drastic measures and recommends a series of escalating income and consumption tax increases culminating in the direct confiscation of assets.

Yes, you read that right. But don’t take it from me. The report itself says:

“The sharp deterioration of the public finances in many countries has revived interest in a “capital levy”— a one-off tax on private wealth—as an exceptional measure to restore debt sustainability. The appeal is that such a tax, if it is implemented before avoidance is possible and there is a belief that it will never be repeated, does not distort behavior (and may be seen by some as fair). … The conditions for success are strong, but also need to be weighed against the risks of the alternatives, which include repudiating public debt or inflating it away. … The tax rates needed to bring down public debt to precrisis levels, moreover, are sizable: reducing debt ratios to end-2007 levels would require (for a sample of 15 euro area countries) a tax rate of about 10 percent on households with positive net wealth. (page 49)”

The report’s most chilling aspect is the clinical manner in which it discusses how to restrict the mobility of the rich, along with the inconvenience of factoring in their “well being.” Again, to quote the report:
“Financial wealth is mobile, and so, ultimately, are people. … There may be a case for taxing different forms of wealth differently according to their mobility … Substantial progress likely requires enhanced international cooperation to make it harder for the very well-off to evade taxation by placing funds elsewhere.
“A revenue-maximizing approach to taxing the rich effectively puts a weight of zero on their well-being—contentious, to say the least. What then if some weight is indeed attached to the well-being of the richest? Figure 19 provides a way to think about the trade-off between equity and efficiency considerations in setting the top marginal rate in that case. … If one attaches less weight to those with the highest incomes, the vote would be to increase the top marginal rate.”

Yes, this is where the bankruptcy of the modern entitlement state is taking us—capital controls and exit restrictions so the proverbial four wolves and a lamb can vote on what’s for dinner. That’s the only way to keep citizens worried about ending up on the menu from voting with their feet. Again, straight from the report:
“There is a surprisingly large amount of experience to draw on, as such levies were widely adopted in Europe after World War I.”
And we all know how well that worked out.

The European Council on Tolerance and Reconciliation (ECTR), a “tolerance watchdog” and EU pressure group has called on the union to establish units under the guidance of the Ministry of Justice to monitor political, religious & social groups to assure adherence to guidelines of tolerance toward one another.

ECTR said it hopes to take “concrete action to combat intolerance, in particular with a view to eliminating racism, colour bias, ethnic discrimination, religious intolerance, totalitarian ideologies, xenophobia, anti-Semitism, anti-feminism and homophobia;” while “overt approval of a totalitarian ideology, xenophobia or anti-Semitism,” will be subject to criminal sanctions.

The biggest problems will likely come from the ruling body’s interpretation of religious intolerance and totalitarian ideologies. No doubt Christian proselytizing will be strictly curtailed with Muslims being considered a vulnerable group. Meanwhile anything straying toward s conservatism or further from the centre-right position will be ruled as totalitarian. This despite the fact that half the left-wing governments in Europe already exhibit totalitarianism!

Opposition has been immediate. European Dignity Watch (EDW), based in Brussels, said the report: “aims to impose governmental control over the social and economic behavior of citizens in the widest possible sense. (It) interferes in an unprecedented manner with citizens’ freedom and rights (and) distorts the concepts of ‘justice’ and ‘equality’. (Through) a reversal of the burden of proof (it) encourages frivolous litigation (leading to) institutionalized public control”.

Sophia Kuby, speaking for EDW said the document if implemented “could lead to situations in which vague or unwarranted accusations are leveled against individuals and groups. Faith-based groups and schools, adherents of a particular religion or even just parents who want to teach their children certain moral values would all be put under general suspicion of being intolerant. Even worse, (it) could lead to the possibility that charges are brought on unclear or even without legal grounds.
Thoroughly fed up with these kinds of mega-control bureaucratic monstrosities, Europe and its peoples are beginning to kick back. Unfortunately it is mostly those who (rightly sometimes) are branded extremists, and surprise surprise, it’s just these kind of people this proposal is trying to silence.

The Nazis in the 1930s, on the contrary, were doing exactly what the EU is doing today, centralizing control and creating a principal form of acceptable political and religious ideology. The only difference is a single dictatorial leader and a sufficient generated level of hate towards a particular group.

Europe will become a dictatorial state on its current path. It may also collapse like the Soviet Union did but that took 72 years to happen. In the meantime, the current generation has a limited amount of time left to push hard for change; or the next generation will find themselves like the Jews in Egypt in the time of the Pharaohs , aimlessly crying out for deliverance or worse, just tamely submitting to them.

China's official news agency has called for the creation of a "de-Americanised world", saying the destinies of people should not be left in the hands of a hypocritical nation with a dysfunctional government.
Heaping criticism and caustic ridicule on Washington, the Xinhua news agency called the US a civilian slayer, prisoner torturer and meddler in others' affairs, and said the 'Pax Americana' was a failure on all fronts.
The official news agency of China, which is seen as the pretender to the world's superpower crown, then rubbed in more salt, calling American economic pre-eminence just a seeming dominance.
"As US politicians of both political parties are still shuffling back and forth between the White House and the Capitol Hill without striking a viable deal to bring normality to the body politic they brag about, it is perhaps a good time for the befuddled world to start considering building a de-Americanised world," the editorial said.
As the first step in creating a de-Americanised world, all nations must try to shape an international system that respects the sovereignty of all nations and ensures the US keeps out of the domestic affairs of others, Xinhua said.
"The developing and emerging market economies need to have more say in major international financial institutions including the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, so that they could better reflect the transformations of the global economic and political landscape," the editorial says.
It also called for an end to the use of the US dollar as the international reserve currency, a step that would ensure the international community could maintain a safe distance from the side-effects of domestic political turmoil in the United States.

Talks in Geneva on Iran’s nuclear program are triggering fears within U.S. intelligence agencies that Israel is hardening its stance on Iran and could conduct a military attack to stave off what the Jewish state believes is a delaying tactic for Tehran to buy time to build nuclear weapons.
The clearest indicator of growing Israeli concerns, according to defense officials, is the recent large-scale Israeli air force drill Tuesday in the northern part of the country. The exercises along the northern border and over the Mediterranean were considered unusually large.
An Israeli defense source told Israel’s Walla! news outlet: “Changes have recently occurred in the Middle East. The [Israeli Defense Force] is preparing for those changes in both the closer and more distant perimeters, and yesterday’s exercise was intended to signal the IDF’s serious intention of dealing with those problems and thwarting them.”
Additionally, Israeli air forces conducted long-range fighter exercises last week involving in-flight refueling practice.
The talks in Geneva have produced press reports that the Obama administration is preparing to ease sanctions on Iran following conciliatory statements by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani at the U.N. last month.

Former defense minister and Kadima MK Shaul Mofaz on Thursday said that any agreement reached between world powers and Iran would likely keep Iran’s uranium enrichment infrastructure intact, and therefore guarantee Tehran’s ability to kickstart development of nuclear weapons.

Today Israel is getting closer to acting on its own. In 1981 the Israeli Air Force knocked out Saddam Hussein's nuclear reactor without warning. In 2006 the IAF destroyed Syria's nuclear reactor near the Euphrates River, again without warning. Now that the U.S. government is so deeply infiltrated by Muslim Brotherhood agents, don't expect Netanyahu to ask Obama's permission to act.
Iran's nearest neighbors would welcome a fast decapitation strike, because nobody wants to live with a nuclear Jim Jones cult next door.
Obama makes empty threats, but Netanyahu does not. Obama let the clock run on out Iranian nukes, and somebody has to stop them, because "charm offensives" won't do it. Bibi is the designated hitter now, because everybody else is hunkering low in their foxholes.
As the ancient saying goes, "when you go to kill the king, do not miss."

All we have left in the U.S. is a deeply impoverishing Political Theater of the Absurd. Policy, theory and governance have all been reduced to competing stage performances in the Theater of the Absurd. The actors are transparently given to farcical overacting in exaggerated dramas drained of meaning; they proceed through the cliched motions as if the audience hadn't seen the same charades overplayed dozens of times before.
"Government shutdown" and "debt ceiling" may have engaged audiences starved for entertainment in a bygone age, but now they exemplify a theater that is so impoverished it can only re-stage tired formulaic dramas with a savage appetite for incompetence and buffoonery.
The poverty of this substitution of theater for actual ideas is best displayed by ObamaCare. The entire complex edifice of ObamaCare is not an expression of policy--it is simply the perfection of state complicity with a private cartel that increases its share of the national income regardless of which set of bad actors are on stage.
As for the alternative "policy," it is nothing but a reversion to the pre-ObamaCare cartel-state arrangement that artlessly combines gross injustice, insensitivity to cost and insane incentives for fraud, skimming, defensive medicine and the pursuit of national chronic ill health as the most profitable state of existence.
That these two variations on state-cartel predation pass for "policy" is a clear indication of the absolute impoverishment of American political/social/economic ideas. We are adrift in a political order that glorifies and rewards overacted farce and punishes policy grounded in actual ideas rather than the theatrical trends of the day.
The public sphere has been effectively stripped of everything but corny, irritatingly hammy political theater. The players, bereft of talent and inspiration, chosen for their blind obedience to those benefiting from the eradication of ideas and the replaying of tiresome charades, are blind to the poverty of their performance and political theatrics.
Will the audience ever tire of this cheesy Theater of the Absurd? It seems the appetite of the American public for this sort of play-acting entertainment is essentially bottomless. As a result, so too is our poverty.
