A former Facebook insider is about to drop major accusations on Capitol Hill.
Sarah Wynn-Williams, once a senior policy director at Meta, will testify Wednesday that the company secretly worked with Beijing to gain access to China’s market—briefing Chinese officials on AI tech and building a “pipeline” that could have exposed Americans’ private data.
She’ll tell lawmakers Meta lied to Congress, shareholders, and the public, all while pushing a secret plan called “Project Aldrin” to help China “increase global influence.”
Meta denies it all.
But the scrutiny’s about to get a lot more intense.
