Christian Convert Arrested in Northern Iran

Somayeh Rajabi, a Christian convert from northern Babol, has been detained by IRGC intelligence agents since February 6, according to Mohabat News.

The news outlet reported that over 20 intelligence agents raided a Christian gathering in Gatab, near Babol, on February 6.

During the raid, agents confiscated Bibles, musical instruments, and communication devices.

Attendees were forced to provide their personal information and phone passwords.

According to the report, agents forcibly removed and destroyed cross necklaces worn by attendees and denied medical care to those injured during the incident.

Rajabi contacted her family a day after her arrest, informing them that she had been transferred to a prison in Sari.

The arrest comes amid increasing pressure on Christians in Iran.
