Erdogan Calls Israeli Actions in Gaza Strip 'Mass Murder'

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has discussed the situation in the Gaza Strip with leaders of Egypt, Indonesia and Saudi Arabia in Riyadh and called Israel's actions in the region "mass murder," the Turkish presidency said on Saturday.
Erdogan met with Indonesian President Joko Widodo, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Sisi and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on the sidelines of a Joint Arab Islamic Extraordinary Summit in Riyadh.
"At a meeting with Widodo, Erdogan said that attacks against the Palestinian people are unacceptable and reached the level of mass murder, targeting hospitals, schools, religious places, NGO employees," the office said in a statement obtained by Sputnik.
Hezbollah Says Launched Strikes on Israeli Troops on Border With Lebanon
Lebanese armed group Hezbollah said it struck Israeli troops amassed near the northern Israeli border with Lebanon.
"Islamic resistance fighters struck groups of occupation forces," Hezbollah said in a statement.
This comes hours after the Israel Defense Forces said its fighter jets hit a number of "terror infrastructure sites" belonging to Hezbollah in Lebanon, in parallel to artillery strikes.

Iranian President Demands Immediate Withdrawal of Israeli Forces From Gaza Strip
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi on Saturday demanded that Israel immediately withdraw its forces from the Gaza Strip.
"Israel must immediately cease fighting in the Gaza Strip and withdraw its forces from there," Raisi told the Islamic-Arab summit held in Riyadh.
Erdogan Demands Israel Pay Compensation for Palestinians
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday demanded that Israel pay compensation to Palestinians for the damage caused.
"The State of Israel, which is acting like the West's naughty child, must pay compensation for the damage done," he said at a Joint Arab Islamic Extraordinary Summit in Riyadh.
Iranian President Calls on Muslim Countries to Arm Palestinians
"Muslim countries should arm the Palestinian people. Resistance is the only answer to Israeli violence. Countries around the world, including Muslim ones, should ensure the protection of the Palestinian people in the occupied territories," he said at a Joint Arab Islamic Extraordinary Summit in Riyadh.
Palestinian Leader Says US Responsible for Failure to Resolve Crisis in Middle East
Palestinian National Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said on Saturday that the policy of the United States had made it impossible to reach a political solution to the Palestinian issue.
"The United States, which fully supports the occupation forces [of Israel], is responsible for the failure to reach a political solution to the crisis in Palestine," Abbas told the Islamic-Arab summit underway in the Saudi capital of Riyadh.
The US has to work "to end the Israeli occupation," he added.
