A 6.3 earthquake hit the Gulf of California at 1:30 in the afternoon on Sunday.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the earthquake hit the ocean about 60 miles away from the east side of the tip of the Baja Peninsula at a depth of a little over 6 miles.
The closest city to the quake is Cabo San Lucas.
According to the U.S. Tsunami Warning System, there is no tsunami danger for the U.S. West Coast, British Columbia or Alaska.
