Google has eliminated Patrick Moore from a search result listing co-founders of the environmental group Greenpeace.
The move came after Moore made headlines criticizing the climate-change-driven policies of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., and 2020 presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke, which drew praise from President Trump.
Moore tweeted Saturday that his name had been eliminated from the Google list sometime in the previous two days.
“Oh my! @Google has removed my photo and name from the “Founders of @Greenpeace“. It was still there 2 days ago but now I am erased. Tech Tyranny!!”
The climate-change skeptic site Climate Depot noted Moore broke with Greenpeace after its mission evolved from promoting environmentalism to promoting socialism.
A critic of propaganda techniques used by the global warming movement, Moore said in a recent “Fox & Friends” interview “the whole climate crisis is not only fake news, it’s fake science.”
That got Trump’s attention.
Patrick Moore, co-founder of Greenpeace: “The whole climate crisis is not only Fake News, it’s Fake Science. There is no climate crisis, there’s weather and climate all around the world, and in fact carbon dioxide is the main building block of all life.” @foxandfriends Wow!— Donald J. Greenpeace’s website, Climate Depot reported, listed Moore among its “founders and first members” before quietly removing it around 2007.
In its post over the weekend, Climate Depot recalled Soviet dictator Josef Stalin’s elimination of the images of purged leaders from photographs.

During his Great Purge, Stalin infamously had Avel Enukidze, a onetime member of Communist Party’s governing body, erased from a 1934 photo after being executed as an enemy of the state.
Last week, Moore told the Fox Business Network he found irony in 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke claiming that human-caused climate change will produce millions of refugees while calling for border walls to be removed.
Moore was asked to comment on O’Rourke’s contention, also claimed by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., that the world is going to end in 12 years unless something is done about the climate.
“I don’t know how these people get this idea that the world is going to come to an end,” he said. “The environment has been getting cleaner for 50 years. The air is cleaner, the water is cleaner now in our part of the world.”
