The Epic Failure Of Big Government

We already know how God feels about human government or human 'rule' in general. Recall when Israel first asked for a king (aka human government) and God's communication to the people through the prophet Samuel:

"He will take your sons and make them serve with his chariots and horses, and they will run in front of his chariots. 12 Some he will assign to be commanders of thousands and commanders of fifties, and others to plow his ground and reap his harvest, and still others to make weapons of war and equipment for his chariots.13 He will take your daughters to be perfumers and cooks and bakers. 14 He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive groves and give them to his attendants. 15 He will take a tenth of your grain and of your vintage and give it to his officials and attendants.16 Your male and female servants and the best of your cattle[c] and donkeys he will take for his own use. 17 He will take a tenth of your flocks, and you yourselves will become his slaves. 18 When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, but theLord will not answer you in that day.19 But the people refused to listen to Samuel. “No!” they said. “We want a king over us. 20 Then we will be like all the other nations, with a king to lead us and to go out before us and fight our battles.”21 When Samuel heard all that the people said, he repeated it before the Lord22 The Lord answered, “Listen to them and give them a king.”

Or, we could look at Daniel 2 and 7, where the same information on the 4 primary world governments (who also ruled Israel), throughout time. In Daniel 2, through the eyes of king Nebuchadnezzar, these human kingdoms looked like a brilliant statue. However, when this same information came directly from God, as seen in Daniel 7, we see these ruling governments portrayed as beasts.

So how is the modern-day era of progressively more and more big government working out?

(Don't forget, the northeast, along with California are as 'progressive' as we see in America - the same group who have been against drilling for oil, against any new forms of energy, for higher taxes and most definitely for big government, who, theoretically 'protect' us from all hardships). Again - so how is that working out?

Shock: 72 Hours After Grid-Down: Starvation, Supply Shortages Food Lines, No Clear Water, No Gas, Transportation Standstill

For tens of thousands of east coast residents that worst case scenario is now playing out in real-time. No longer are images of starving people waiting for government handouts restricted to just the third-world.
In the midst of crisis, once civilized societies will very rapidly descend into chaos when essential infrastructure systems collapse.
Though the National Guard was deployed before the storm even hit, there is simply no way for the government to coordinate a response requiring millions of servings of food, water and medical supplies
Many east coast residents who failed to evacuate or prepare reserve supplies ahead of the storm are being forced to fend for themselves.
Frustration and anger have taken hold, as residents have no means of acquiring food or gas and thousands of trucks across the region remain stuck in limbo.

Things are starting to become horrific for the unprepared, as food lines stretch for miles and Meals-Ready-To-Eat are in short supply:
A simple 72 hour survival kit and some basic hurricane preparedness would have prevented days of heartache for residents of stricken areas.
The vast majority of those waiting in mile-long long food lines, rummaging through the trash, and criticizing their government officials for a slow and insufficient response have no one to blame but themselves.
This may be harsh – but it’s true.
We wish all those having a difficult time dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy the best going forward. Perhaps it will be a wake-up call for the rest of the nation.
Hurricane Sandy, while disastrous, is not nearly as bad as it could have been.
It has happened before. It will happen again. Prepare or suffer the consequences.

The Lack Of Storm Help On Staten Island Is Quickly Becoming The Major Story Of Sandy: 'It's Disgusting'

Janet Napolitano and Federal Emergency Management Agency Deputy Administrator Richard Serino planned to tour the island on Friday.

But Molinaro didn’t end there. He delivered a scathing indictment of the lack of help:
“All these people making these big salaries should be out there on the front line, and I am disappointed,” a frustrated Borough President James Molinaro said Thursday morning at a press conference with other local officials to talk about the needs of the hard-hit borough. “And my advice to the people of Staten Island is, ‘Do not donate to the American Red Cross. Let them get their money elsewhere.’”
“Because the devastation in Staten Island, the lack of a response,” Mr. Molinaro said to explain his comment to NBC after the press conference. “You know, I went to a shelter Monday night after the storm. People were coming in with no socks, with no shoes. They were in desperate need. Their housing was destroyed. They were crying. Where was the Red Cross? Isn’t that their function? They collect millions of dollars. Whenever there’s a drive in Staten Island, we give openly and honestly. Where are they? Where are they? I was at the South Shore yesterday, people were buried in their homes. There the dogs are trying to find bodies. The people there, the neighbors who had no electricity, were making soup. Making soup. It’s very emotional because the lack of a response. The lack of a response. They’re supposed to be here….They should be on the front lines fighting, and helping the people.”

Sandy Bottles Up The East Coast Gasoline Market

As lines form outside gasoline stations, and some of them begin to run out of gasoline, the real problem on the East Coast isn’t the refineries. It’s the terminals—the giant storage depots surrounding New York Harbor where ships and rail cars unload refined products, and where gasoline piped up from the Gulf Coast gets collected. If you’ve ever flown into JFK or LaGuardia, these are the big clusters of white tanks you saw dotting the landscape south of the city.
The East Coast refines a lot of gasoline, but most of what it uses comes from somewhere else. These storage tanks are the crucial gathering point for the East Coast’s gasoline distribution system. Right now, they’re not working.

If You Don't Like Gov't Bureaucracy, Don't Read This Story About A Chinese Restaurant Trying To Help Sandy Victims

Our Managing Editor [at Business Insider], Jessica Liebman, was driving from Manhattan to Brooklyn yesterday evening when she saw something that will make anyone who has ever been frustrated by government bureaucrats tear their hair out.Somewhere in lower Manhattan, where the power has been out for three days, restaurants and stores are closed, perishable food is going bad, and there’s little to eat, Jess came upon the following:While in a traffic standstill on a pitch black corner in Chinatown, we saw an NYC food inspector bust down the door of a Chinese restaurant that was serving food to dozens of people even though they had no power and no running water. It was pitch black, and all these people were eating from a huge buffet…I knew it was a food inspector because the guy was wearing a jacket that said “Department of Health” in big white letters on the back of it. He had a big flashlight and a headlamp. When he went into the restaurant with his two sources of light, you could see that there were little candles everywhere and people huddled at tables. The restaurant was a tiny hole in the wall spot, with a yellow awning that said they served dumplings for $4. It had a “C” in the last inspection — the NYC health inspection grade was taped to the door. What happened next? From what I could tell, he was shining his flashlight all around (which is how I saw that there was a buffet of food) and right before we pulled away I saw him inspect a huge pot of soup that was near the door. From the moment he walked in, it was clear that he wasn’t letting anyone leave the restaurant after that.A business without power going the extra mile to keep its doors open and help the community in a time of need.Got to put a stop to that immediately!

Unrest Growing Among NJ, NY Citizens: Dumster Diving For Food, Fist Fights Over Fuel, Tempers Flare In Sandy Aftermath

But wait a minute - I thought we've been told that we don't need gas and gas is "bad"? Aren't the windmills and solar panels working? And while I'm at it - hasn't most of that rhetoric been coming from residents in the liberal corridors in the northeast?

The first 72 hours after a natural disaster are the “polite” hours. Residents operate under the illusion that Big Government will soon save them with emergency supplies: food, water, fuel, clothing and more. So they follow the rules and “play nice.”
After about the third day, all those social niceties start to erode. People are hungry and angry. There’s a feeling of desperation and even abandonment. What seemed to be a polite society two days earlier suddenly becomes more sinister. The survival needs of individuals begin to outweigh social boundaries, and what emerges is desperation… even panic.
“Dwindling gasoline supplies are causing frayed nerves as the region endures its third full day with massive power outages.” reports Fox News. “Frustration with gas supplies topped the list of issues causing tensions to boil over in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut, the states hardest hit by power outages in the wake of superstorm Sandy. Residents jockeyed for fuel at the few stations still pumping, searched store shelves in vain for batteries, struggled with sporadic cell phone service and found themselves unable to buy necessities at supermarkets.”
State troopers have now been deployed to gas stations in an effort to head off near-riots as citizens lose patience and tempers flare.

On Twitter, fist fights are being reported over fuel shortages. Police have had to draw guns on some people, reports Brietbart.com.
That article includes posts from Twitter users:
You know things are bad when you ask the gas station attendent “when do you think you’re going to get more gas?” and he just laughs at you. – Prede (@predederva) November 1, 2012Just awful! RT @metrogypsy: Someone just pulled a knife at Greenpoint #gas station as line stretches with hours long wait #gettingrealFAST – Camila Xavier (@camilaxavier) November 1, 2012
Watching the breakdown of society at a gas station on Long Island. #sandysucks – Christina (@wooly_says) November 1, 2012There are also tweets from some users who are intelligent preppers… like this one from JohnnyRH:
I live in Utah and the people here are big into “prepping”… I have relatives in NJ and just last week we were talking and they thought I was nuts to own guns, store fuel and water and have a generator. Most people are totally blind to what chaos will come with a really large power grid failure over half or all of the country. It will take little more than a week for all hell to break loose and riots will be the norm.“We’re going to DIE!”Another report from ABC News reveals the desperation and panic now forming among residents in Staten Island.
“We’re going to die! We’re going to freeze! We got 90-year-old people!” Donna Solli told visiting officials. “You don’t understand. You gotta get your trucks down here on the corner now. It’s been three days!”The situation is so bad that even the Red Cross is being blamed for not showing up with supplies:
“This is America, not a third world nation. We need food, we need clothing,” Staten Island Borough President Jim Molinaro said today. “My advice to the people of Staten Island is: Don’t donate to the American Red Cross. Put their money elsewhere.” (ABC News)
NBC News reports:
Staten Island officials had some choice words Thursday to describe what they said was a feeble disaster-relief response to people left dying, homeless and hungry in the New York City borough hit particularly hard by Sandy. Staten Island’s top elected official blasted the American Red Cross response as “an absolute disgrace” and went so far as to urge its residents not to donate to the largely volunteer agency.

Nonunion Alabama Crews Turned Away From Sandy Recovery

The hurricane-ravaged east coast has been receiving north Alabama help, but crews learned they'll be doing work in Long Island, New York instead of in New Jersey
Crews from Decatur Utilities and Joe Wheeler out of Trinity headed up there this week, but Derrick Moore, one of the Decatur workers, said they were told by crews in New Jersey that they can't do any work there since they're not union employees.
The crews that are in Roanoke, Virginia say they are just watching and waiting even though they originally received a call asking for help from Seaside Heights, New Jersey.
The crews were told to stand down. In fact, Moore said the crew from Trinity is already headed back home.
Understandably, Moore said they're frustrated being told "thanks, but no thanks."

Anarchy In Sandy Aftermath

Hurricane Sandy is another reminder of just how incredibly fragile the thin veneer of civilization that we all take for granted on a daily basis really is.  Many of the hardest hit areas along the Jersey shore and the coast of Long Island have descended into a state of anarchy.  More than 7 million people live on Long Island, and millions more live along the Jersey shore and right now they are getting a taste of what life would be like during a total economic meltdown.  At the moment, there are still approximately 4.7 million homes and businesses that do not have power.  Officials say that some of those homes and businesses may not have their power restored until the weekend of November 10th and 11th.  Meanwhile, it is getting very cold at night.  This weekend the low temperatures on Long Island are supposed to dip into the upper thirties.  There have been reports of peoplediving into dumpsters behind supermarkets in a desperate search for food, and there have been other reports of roaming gangs of criminals posing as officials from FEMA or Con Edison and then robbing families at gunpoint once they have gained entrance into their homes.  If people will behave like this during a temporary emergency that lasts only a few days, what would they do during a total economic collapse?  That is a frightening thing to think about.

If this is how angry and frustrated that people become over a temporary disaster, how angry and frustrated would they get if there was a total economic meltdown that was permanent?

Sadly, the truth is that what we are seeing during the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy is just a very small preview of what is coming on a national level.
Our economy is a complete and total mess right now, and things are going to get a whole lot worse.

When unemployment starts skyrocketing again and large segments of the population realize that there is no hope for a turnaround, many of them are going to totally give in to despair and become very desperate.
And as we are seeing along the Jersey Shore and on Long Island right now, desperate people do desperate things.

That is why I am constantly pounding on the need to prepare for what is ahead.  There are signs of social decay all around us, and most Americans are not equipped to deal with the pressures that come with a major emergency.  When things totally fall apart, you don't want your family to be totally unprepared and surrounded by millions of angry and desperate people.
Hopefully Hurricane Sandy will serve as a wake up call for millions of American families.  Time is definitely running out, and we all need to get prepared while we still can.

But hey, at least our rulers allow us to have free elections, right?

Have You Heard About 'Spigot Cities' That May Pump Votes To Obama?

President Barack Obama’s campaign team could have more control over the outcome of the 2012 election than you think, according to a report by TheBlaze documentary team that reveals the potential for highly targeted voter fraud in key cities that could determine who gets the electoral votes from many swing states.
The potential fraud would be focused on major, decisive cities that are believed to help keep states blue, and therefore earning them the electoral college’s votes. They’re called “spigot cities.”
Although some might deny the existence of voter fraud, fail to see issues with same-day voter registration and at the same time balk at the idea of an ID requirement, there are real consequences of corruption if it occurs.
One example included recently on TheBlaze has Fund discussing how he believes Sen. Al Franken was elected in Minnesota under fraudulent conditions and, if that’s the case, points out that Franken was the deciding vote that passed Obamacare. Some of the controversy surrounding the election between Franken and incumbent Norm Coleman for Minnesota in 2008 — which was won by Franken by only 312 votes after months of litigation following an initial 725-vote lead by Coleman — is that a conservative group Minnesota Majority found evidence of voter fraud, which included voting conducted by ineligible convicted felons.

Voting Machine 'Troubles' In swing States

Irregularities Now Found In Ohio During Early Voting

Its 'funny' how these 'irregularities' always seem to be in the same direction...

Last week in this space, The Examinerreported about voting machines in Guilford County, North Carolina that mysteriously recorded votes for Barack Obama after voters who voted on the machines intended to cast their vote for Mitt Romney. Local election officials attempted to downplay the fact that some voters attempted at least three times to vote for Governor Romney and the machine still recorded votes for President Obama as an isolated incident. Now, however-as North Carolina seems to move more securely into Governor Romney’s camp-all eyes are turning to Ohio where many pundits believe the election could be decided. The “isolated problems” with North Carolina voting machines seem to have found their way to Ohio, with some voters reporting yesterday that a similar situation as the one found in North Carolina, with voters casting their ballots for Mitt Romney, while the machine records a vote for Barack Obama.
Ohio is always a critical State, and politically informed readers may recall that it was Ohio that decided the 2004 election. No Republican has won the presidency up to this point in American electoral history without carrying the State of Ohio. If someone-or a group of people-wanted to “steal” this presidential election by committing vote fraud that might be difficult to detect, Ohio might be just the place to do it.

More Voting Irregularities Reported

WGHP in High Point has a story about voting machines not properly recording the votes cast. Here's their story:
On Monday, several voters complained that their electronic ballot machine cast the wrong vote. All the complaints were made by people who voted at the Bur-Mil Park polling location.

Similar problems reported in Jamestown and Pleasant Garden.

One of the voters, Sher Coromalis, says she cast her ballot for Governor Mitt Romney, but every time she entered her vote the machine defaulted to President Obama.

"I was so upset that this could happen," said Coromalis.

Guilford County Board of Elections Director George Gilbert says the problem arises every election. It can be resolved after the machine is re-calibrated by poll workers.

"It's not a conspiracy it's just a machine that needs to be corrected," Gilbert said.

Please, everybody remain calm about the electronic voting machines malfunctioning. I'm sure that is what the U.N. observers are here to take care of. It probably was an honest mistake by whomever programed them for a 60/40 split. It was supposed to be set to 70/30. Remember, "the private sector is doing just fine". "All we need is for more years, and you'll get the change that was promised......In an internment camp!

Attention everyone, don't believe what these conservative nuts are saying, i just saw on the news (NBC) that 98% of the people think obama is doing a phenomenal job at taking care of his people in the aftermath of Sandy. Never doubt the word of the press. ain't that right Scott?
