Hi Scott, I come from Indonesia and I have been following your blog more than 1 year. I want to share with all you guyz that my friend's testimonial (confirmed) that when she pray suddenly she heard the clock ticking so loud and actually her clock has no sound when it tick. (Sorry if my English a bit messy, but I hope you can understand) Suddenly she saw Jesus crying and told her that the time is drawing near but a lot of His children are not ready. That's all I want to share with you guyz. I hope we all ready when the time is coming, cause I know nothing can delay or postpone it. Maranatha
Anon - Thanks so much for the comment! That is fascinating and I always take such stories seriously.
Last summer I was walking up my stairs in my home, and out of nowhere, I heard what seemed like an audible voice in my head that said "SOON....I'm coming SOON"....And that was it. Out of nowhere.
I'll be praying for you, as I do with all of my brothers and sisters in Indonesia. I would imagine its pretty scary there with the vast persecution.
I usually take such warnings with a grain of salt. "I am coming soon" soon by whose timing? soon for us could be 1,000 years to God (i don't believe we have 1,000yrs left) don't get me wrong, i believe the time is approaching, but when Jesus says I'm coming soon then is it soon by his standard or ours? i don't think we got more than 5yrs but we could have 20.
I have to agree with hartdawg on this....really...it has TAKEN quite a while, has it not ??
I was reading that angel comment on the expressway article, and it appears that Mr. Vincent, whoever this guy is was being told this message back in 1993...
COME ON NOW, that's 20 years almost. Until now....
so the word SOON is VERY RELATIVE.
Hartdawg has a point, by who's standard right ????
so, point being , that the ONLY reason i am even CONSIDERING that rapture being "soon" is due to the fact that stocks are high. and wave counts are complete.
BUT let me tell ya something.
WE GET one more rally to new highs here and that word soon is OUT the window with me atleast cos that tells me the END will be delayed.
3.Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4.And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
Hart, I'm no Greek scholar, but here's what I've heard/read about the phrase "I am coming soon"...
The Greek word for "soon" in that passage is not as we understand the word. Rather, it's more similar to "powerfully and/or swiftly"... meaning Jesus was referring to the MANNER in which he would come WHEN he comes, NOT how soon he would come. Hope that makes sense... ;)

See you soon, maranatha!

Angels appear as humans then vanish after making startling announcement
that Jesus is coming "very, very soon"!!!

WELL-STATED MRS C - AND A HEARTY AMEN TO THAT!

Alice i agree...the word means suddenly.
mrs c I'm not scoffing.....i can't conceive us having more than 10yrs left...I'm just leary of such warnings
"Soon" is indeed a realative term...The "signs" we are witnessing however are not.
For me the best analagy is comparing my feelings to the Word of God. I can't trust my feelings but I can trust the Word of God every time.
If we can see the tribulation events on the horizon we know it won't be long before the bride heads off with the groom. :)
I believe we are a lot closer to our Lords' return than any of us realize.
His will be Done.
Amen
I completely agree Douglas.
