PM Netanyahu: "I'll Never Let Israel Live Under Shadow Of Annihilation"

This just in from the Jerusalem Post:

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu warned against allowing Iran to develop nuclear weapons in his speech to the AIPAC Convention in Washington Monday night local time, vowing to never let Israel live under the shadow of annihilation.

Addressing concerns about the cost a military strike aimed at stopping its nuclear program, Netanyahu said "it's about time we start talking about the cost of not stopping Iran."

A nuclear-armed Iran, he said, would provide a nuclear umbrella and thereby increase global terrorism, it could choke off the world's oil supply, and could threaten the world with nuclear terrorism.

Iran, he said, must not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons.

Israel, the prime minister added, has been waiting for years to see if diplomacy and sanctions against Iran's nuclear program to work, but said they have not been successful. He warned that Israel cannot wait much longer.

As the prime minister of Israel, he continued, "I will never let my people live in the shadow of annihilation."

"In every generation, there are those who wish to destroy the Jewish people. In this generation, we are blessed to live in a time when there is a Jewish state capable of defending the Jewish people," he concluded, thanking AIPAC and the United States for supporting Israel and its right to self-defense.

The speech followed a meeting with US President Barack Obama at the White House earlier Monday, after which he said Israel's position on Iran was "accepted with understanding" by the American administration.

Connecting the dots on this situation won't be difficult and we can look above at the bolded statements for assistance.

1. Sanctions "have not been successful".
2. Iran will "not be allowed" to develop nuclear arms.
3. Israel "cannot wait much longer".
4. The U.S. has recognized and acknowledged Israel's "right to self defense".

That pretty much says it all doesn't it?

The U.S. is willing to wait indefinitely to allow sanctions "more time" - time which Israel doesn't have. However, Israel is free to engage in "self-defense".

Could this picture be any more clear?

Israel will have to make their own determinations regarding what to do for their self-defense, and the U.S. will not stand in their way. Nor will the U.S. help overtly (perhaps the U.S. can aid and assist "behind the scenes" in some way).

The cards are now all out in the open for everyone to see.

The ball now seems to be in Israel's court. The one bolded statement above is most likely a preview of what is to come, as Netanyahu vowed to "never let Israel live under the shadow of annihilation."

It's important to remember - once the powder keg is ignited, there will be no turning back. We should expect to see the Isaiah 17-->Ezekiel 38-39 scenarios developing rapidly if tensions ignite between Israel and Iran.

It looks like the Middle East is about to blow.

Netanyahu should be given credit for his love to Israel and its existence.
if only someone can remind him that It is God who love Israel the most, even nations are gather together against Israel and beseiged it, there will always be a remnant of Israel.

Last night's speech by Bibi left me kind of shook, but a bit perplexed.

My reading of scripture clearly shows the Isiah 17 war takes out all of Israel's surrounding neighbors. I don't see Iran mentioned.

Then we have the judgments against many surrounding nations in Ez 25-32.....really severe judgments. Earth shaking judgments and terrain altering judgments.

Then we have Gog...of which Iran is a member. But it appears to us that Iran is greatly diminished by that time....not a major player.

Could it be.....
1. The take down of Iran is supernatural? Earthquakes? Internal?
2. God's detailed description only starts with the destruction of Damascus without mention of the events leading up to that point?
3. The situation in Syria pops first?
4. After an initial strike on Iran, the situation around Israel explodes but the initial strike on Iran removes them from being a major player?
5. Israel has enough special forces on the ground in Iran to make a huge contribution in taking them down without a long prolonged air campaign?
6. Combinations?

We are truly blessed to be alive and witnessing a real Biblical age. We see His word coming true before our eyes.....yet His mysteries still remain....and just like the days Jesus walked the earth, most of the world is blind to it.

Just Wow!
