Age Of Surveillance

Age of surveillance: Authorities now have even more control over ordinary people
Kevin Hughes

The world is now living in the “age of surveillance.”

Cameras with facial recognition systems, satellites, street sensors, license plate readers, drones, credit cards, computers, phones, televisions, smart devices and other technologies are already watching every move that people are making.

And companies are utilizing this cascade of data to earn more money.

Way back in 2013, a group of scientists studied 15 months of human mobility movement data collected from 1.5 million people. They concluded that just four points in space and time were enough to identify 95 percent of those people.

Nearly 10 years later, surveillance technologies penetrate all aspects of people’s lives. And they gather wraps of data from everyone in different forms and often without them knowing.

China has more than 50 percent of all surveillance cameras installed in the world, with almost 34 cameras per 1,000 people.

In Australia, Sydney has 4.67 surveillance cameras per 1,000 people and Melbourne has 2.13 as of last year.

CCTV cameras can be used for legal purposes – for example, promoting safety in cities and helping police with criminal investigations. But their use can also be abused by authorities.

New South Wales police were suspected of utilizing CCTV footage combined with facial recognition to identify people attending anti-lockdown protests last year.

The United Nations also confirmed that CCTV is being utilized to perform “serious human rights violations” against Uyghur and other principally Muslim ethnic minorities in the Xinjiang area of northwest China. Many CCTV cameras in China are also equipped with facial recognition, with some reportedly being tested to detect emotions.

The United States also has a long history of employing CCTV cameras to aid racist policing practices. Amnesty International reported that neighborhoods with a large percentage of non-white residents have more CCTV cameras.

Another issue with CCTV is security as many of these cameras don’t have password protection and can be easily accessed online.

Update From Amir Tsarfati:

Worldview With Amir Tsarfati: The World Will Continue To Deteriorate

Israeli Government Sworn in Thursday

Benjamin Netanyahu was once again sworn in as Prime Minister of the State of Israel today. Finally, the debacle of the previous “government of change” can be relegated to the dustbin of history.

This 37th government of Israel will be the most conservative that the nation has ever had. The small but loud, media-backed LGBTQ movement is prepared to protest all across the country. Netanyahu will have much work ahead righting many of the wrongs left by the previous administration.

Thankfully, he will have a strong economy in which to work. The Economist just ranked Israel number four on their list of the best economies in the world. While there are certainly social and domestic issues on Netanyahu’s plate, the number one concern that he will have to deal with is stopping Iran from becoming a nuclear nation. As Netanyahu has already said, “Our main goal will be to thwart Iran’s nuclear arsenal.”

Ukrainian Drones Hit Russian Airbase

For the second time this month, a Ukrainian drone hit Engels airbase 600 km inside Russia on Monday. A control center was the target and three Russian servicemen were killed in the attack. Interestingly, the New York Times reported that US forces are helping Ukraine attack sites where Iranian drones are hosted and launched from. Does this mean that the US just assisted in a strike on an important Russian airbase?

Serbia Builds Up Military on Kosovo Border

Claiming a concern for the protection of Serbs in Kosovo, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic ordered his interior minister to place the nation’s security troops to the “full state of combat readiness”. Serbia has never recognized the independence of the republic that broke away from it in 2008, and has recently been building up its troops and weapons along the shared border.

Tensions have been growing in Kosovo between ethnic Serbs and Kosovars since the beginning of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. NATO has been backing the Kosovo government, while Putin is siding with Vucic which is just adding to the mess.

Brazil Comes Down To The Last Moments: Will Civil War Come Next?

Brazil Down to the Wire: “There will be Civil War if the Army Doesn’t Act”

It is down to the wire in Brazil as convicted criminal Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva is scheduled to be inaugurated Jan. 1. The leftist Supreme Court has ordered mass arrests of Bolsonaro supporters and for the protest camp outside Army HQ in Brasilia to be cleared. President Bolsonaro has appointed a new Military Commander and has not left the Presidential Palace yet. He is due to speak today.

Fake news CNN Brazil spread false rumors that President Jair Bolsonaro had fled the country for Florida, when actually he had sent his wife Michelle and daughter, possibly to keep them safe from an eventual confrontation. A special unit was put together to provide security to the Bolsonaro family in the USA. Rumors have it the Bolsonaros may be at Mar-a-Lago.

The president remains in Brazil. Bolsonaro has not left the Palacio do Planalto, which he should have left two weeks ago.

He is ruling by executive orders (which can be revoked by the new leftist government), appointing a new Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces,  General Júlio Cesar de Arruda, who is said to be pro-Bolsonaro. Protestors blamed the Generals for not acting to save the country, with banners reading “Cowards!”

Bolsonaro continued to play his hand close, saying “We have not mobilized, and we have not demobilized.”  Bolsonaro is “under extreme pressure and threat of being arrested by the Supreme Court but he is also courageous and sees himself as on a Mission. He got stabbed and it did not stop him from running 2018”, one observer who does not want to be named says.

“I think Alexandre de Moraes can arrest Jair Bolsonaro. He’s crazy.” said son and Senator Flávio Bolsonaro. “He is not respecting the law or the Constitution. The Senate and the other Justices of the Supreme Court are doing nothing. So he can do anything, anything can happen!”

“All of Brasil is now converging on the capital of Brasilia for a major protest. There are buses coming and the Federal Police is stopping them on the road,” says our observer. “If the Army does not intervene, the people will rise up and there will be Civil War.”

Federal Police controlled by the Pro-Lula Supreme Court have issued arrest warrants for 32 Bolsonaro supporters for the crime of alleged “vandalism” and “undemocratic acts” in what they are calling Operation Nero. Roman Emperor Nero is famous for letting his country burn down. Federal Police also attempted to clear the protest camp outside the Army HQ in Brasilia but were stopped by soldiers, since the camp is on military ground.

A man arrested for planning a bomb attack in Brasilia said Police Chief forced him to say he was against Lula. A video circulating on the Internet “goes against what has been said by the press,” reports Brazil in English. “Mr George Washington accused of planning a bomb attack on a tank car to cause an explosion at the airport of Brasilia said that he was forced by the Police Chief to say that he was against President- elect Lula da Silva”

Bolsonaro is making preparations for a major operation, according to our observer, including preparations for counter cyber war, and giving the armed forces control of communication.  The government authorized millions to be invested in cloud capacity, to buy drones and ammunition.

There are many military people being allocated to strategic positions. Lots of weapons  are being purchased and agreements being made with companies to provide logistics support for the army forces.

Special ambassadors being assigned to speak and represent Brazil overseas with a clear mission to speak positively for Brazil and avert claims of a “Bolsonaro coup”. Recently a cabal  of deep-state “diplomats” plotting against Bolsonaro was uncovered in Foreign ministry, who had been sabotaging Brazil’ foreign policy.

If Article 142 of the Brazilian Constitution is invoked, empowering the military to restore order, the military will then have access to the source code of the sketchy election machines, so they will find out whoe the real winner was, and call for new elections, goes the hope.

In this case, our observer expects “a civil war scenario” as the narco militias and leftist governments of South America (Sao Paulo Forum) “desperately want to get hold of Brazil.” This is also the reason why the military has been deployed to the Venezuelan border.

“It seems that Brazil is being prepared for war,” the expert says, “which is realistic, because the cartels finance the leftist governments of Latin America in exchange for liberty to freely pursue their business.” The corrupt Brazliian justice system also assists the cartels, the observer said. Since 2020, Police are not allowed to patrol in the favelas on the ground or with helicopters on the orders of Judge Fackin, for example.

The cartels are heavily armed, and have their own set of rules and justice system. “It is believed that they will act in case Bolsonaro fights back,” says the expert. “Cartel militias will go down and terrorize Rio de Janeiro.” President Bolsonaro has extened the Federal Mandate for Rio de Janeiro, and the Army has eliminated Lula-allied Red Command cartel leaders.

Humorists Paulo Souza and Bismark Fugazza left Brazil to avoid being arrested by Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes, Brazil in Englishreports. “Ten days ago, we received information from a very important source that our names would be on the list of an arrest warrant”, revealed Souza, adding that the name of Journalist Oswaldo Eustáquio would also be in the crosshairs of the magistrate. “That is why we made the decision to leave Brazil.”

The Growing Call For A Global Government And A World Leader

Misguided Hope: The Growing Call For A Global Government And World Leader

It appears that the United States and several other countries that historically have called themselves democracies are as of late been longing for a stronger and stronger leader, not a president, but more like a king. And, those leaders who do already rule countries with almost absolute authority are not really qualified to take these ultimate positions because they inevitably end up falling into megalomania.
The end step in the path towards megalomania usually is to declare oneself as a god or even the God. We see this pattern throughout history. These leaders may start off with the right idea in serving their nation, but soon the power goes to their heads and they quickly begin demanding that the nation instead serve themselves.

There are many examples of such political leaders throughout history. Megalomania is almost the default tendency of mankind. Remember Nimrod who was a great leader back in his day. We learned that he and his descendants tried to create the Tower of Babel. Over and over again in Scripture, we are presented by leaders who set themselves up against God’s divine leadership by trying to create their own pagan empires surrounding Israel.

And, in recent years, we’ve been given a number of examples of leaders who exhibit megalomania. Just in this last century, we’ve had Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, and Mao. The Premier in China right now, Mr. Xi, is obviously heading in the same direction. Throughout human history, there’s been Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan, and Napoleon. Napoleon was such a megalomaniac that he didn’t even deem anybody else worthy of crowning him, so he crowned himself as the emperor of France! Even during the pandemic, many leaders began heartily embracing this authoritarian concept, who ought to have known better.

Megalomaniacs are often portrayed in science fiction. Just look back at Dr. Moreau who was written by H.G. Wells. Moreau had his own island which he ruled with absolute authority. Captain Nemo, to a degree, ruled as captain of his submarine. Then there are television and movies, with characters such as Count Carlos Maria Vincenzo Manzeppi from The Wild Wild West who wanted to rule the world. There are characters like Khan in Star Trek. These characters were written as megalomaniacs.

But, now, we have real people who are no better than these fictional megalomaniacs. Supporters of a new era of kings are actually suggesting that we need a single great leader — such as the Führer of Nazi Germany — to embrace worldwide. It’s hoped that this messianic figure will lead the nations out of our economic woes. I believe this tide is setting the world up for the prophesied Antichrist.

That’s why I think we’re seeing this emphatic push for a global government. Our societies have grown to include so many people, and the politics have gotten so complex and so gridlocked, especially in times of disasters like when COVID came through. During that time, we heard WHO say we needed a global government to best manage natural disasters, which are currently happening all over the world. And, we read in the Bible that natural disasters will increase in frequency and intensity as the Lord’s return draws near. We’re tired of all of the bureaucracy and long for a just ruler who can easily cut through the red tape.

Not even ten years ago, when I was talking with some friends about this scenario, we still didn’t see a call for global government. But, now that we’re past the Pandemic, it seems like there’s been a growing call for a global government.

Will Israel Attack Iran's Nuclear Sites?

ISRAEL PREPARES TO ATTACK IRAN ON NETANYAHU’S WATCH

As Netanyahu prepares to take over the leadership of Israel once more, the Iranian threat looms larger than ever.

One of the key indications that Netanyahu is serious is his appointment of Tzachi Hanegbi to head up the National Security Council. Hanegbi is considered an Iran hawk and a close confidant of Prime Minister Netanyahu.

The head of Israel’s army is stepping down in a matter of days. Will he try to leave a legacy that involves attacking Iran or pass off the job to the incoming Army chief?

Regardless of the timing, the incoming government is not only going to continue preparations for attacking Iran – they will accelerate them.
