The Misguided, Deluded Pope

A Dangerously Deluded Pope

Pope Francis, it seems, can't stop squandering whatever little true moral capital he has left. Last week the ageing pontiff, who is much given to periodic bouts of showboating, decided to drop to his knees before several recent Muslim migrants to Europe (call them "refugees," if you will) from North Africa and the Middle East. He then proceeded to wash the asylum seekers' feet with holy water before wiping them clean and kissing them. A cringe-worthy spectacle that was.

It was a customary rite for Holy Thursday, of course, during which a regnant Vicar of Christ may choose to reenact a public act of humility by emulating Jesus, who washed the feet of his disciples prior to his crucifixion. But not for Francis simple humility. Instead, the media-savvy pope could not resist the temptation to use the contrived photo-op to continue leading beleaguered Europeans down a primrose path by way of "moral guidance."

There the Holy Father was, sanctimoniously harping on his oft-repeated homily that Europeans besieged by militant Islam should throw their arms and houses wide open for the massive influx of Muslim migrants who are threatening the very social, political, and religious fabrics of their societies. “I like it a lot when I see nations, governments, who open their hearts and open their doors (to migrants),” His Holiness asserted. Right. I'll like it a whole lot more when I see him open the Vatican's own doors instead. Let me know when that happens.
Simultaneously, the pontiff was trotting out fatuous "We're-the-World" platitudes. “We have different cultures and religions, but we are brothers and we want to live in peace,” he intoned. His Holiness should tell that to the countless Islamists who are plotting endlessly to murder as many Europeans as they can and whenever they can. Some of them have just slaughtered 31 commuters in a series of suicide bomb attacks in Brussels. A prime suspect behind the bomb attacks at the city's airport is a Belgian-born Muslim, Fayçal Cheffou, ("the main in the hat" from security footage), who happens to be -- wait for it -- a "rights activist" for Muslim migrants. The irony of that should not be lost on us. Meanwhile, over in Lahore, Pakistan, while local Christians celebrated Easter Sunday, an Islamic suicide bomber self-detonated among them, killing at least 70 men, women and children.

And Francis' response to the brutal war on Christendom and the West? He kisses the feet of people from the very religion responsible for it. Then again, this is a man who has called the Brussels bloodbath a "gesture of destruction," thereby making it sound as if this latest Islamic terror attack was nothing more than a passing nuisance. If this is the kind of "moral infallibility" that the head of the Vatican can muster these days, his flock is doomed. Francis doesn't just want European Christians to "turn the other cheek"; he wants them to emulate him by bending the knee to people many of whom make no secret of their desire to murder or subjugate all non-Muslims. Any minute now the pope might grab a guitar and launch into a soulful rendition of "Give Peace a Chance."
And he wasn't done yet. “All of us, together: Muslims, Hindi, Catholics, Copts, Evangelicals. But brothers, children of the same God,” the pope pontificated. For starters, Hindi is a language, not a people, but let's let that pass. He also neglected to mention Jews. What's up with that? But let's ignore that, too. What's most galling is his mindless, politically-correct ecumenism. It may have escaped His Holiness's attention, but Islam, Christianity, and Judaism, not to mention Hinduism, are contradictory and mutually exclusive religions. Islam denies the divinity of Jesus, or even that Jesus died on the cross. Hindus believe in a vast pantheon of deities and reject the monotheism of the three Abrahamic faiths. Either Jesus atoned for the sins of humanity, as per the teachings of Christianity, or he didn't, as per the teachings of Islam. Either Mohammed was a perfect example for all people in all ages to follow, as Islam has it, or he was a terrible example that no one should follow, as many non-Muslims contend, and so on and so forth.
Francis is the Catholic Church's first pope who is an out-and-out social justice warrior. That's not a compliment. Like many a self-styled SJW, he prides himself on moral virtues he hasn't earned or demonstrated. He is dangerously deluded if he thinks that his protestations of love will sway the suicide bombers. Needless to say, pious Muslims rarely if ever reciprocate his and his likeminded "progressive" fellow travelers' sycophantic overtures. "We want to live in peace, integrated,” the pope avowed. We all do. But whose fault is that there is no peace in Europe and that certain immigrants have refused to ingrate into their host societies? What unites all those immigrants who have remained stubbornly and often violently unassimilated -- from France to Germany to Belgium to Holland to Sweden to England -- is that they all happen to be... Muslim. Across the continent, Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, animists and atheists all get on very well, thank you very much. It's many Muslims who can't get along with anyone else, and often each other.

The very same day the pope was on his knees kissing the feet of random migrants outside an asylum center in Rome, a Muslim shopkeeper in Glasgow, who seem to have been blissfully well-integrated indeed, was savagely murdered by two other Muslim men in what police described as a "religiously prejudiced" attack. A few hours before he was stabbed to death, Asad Shah relayed a heartfelt public Easter message on Facebook to his Christian friends. By doing so, he violated one of Allah's commands to Muslims. "O ye who believe, take not the Jews and the Christians for friends!" the Koran (5:51) counsels. "They are friends one to another. He among you who taketh them for friends is (one) of them. Lo! Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk."

Yet many Europeans can't stop wanting to befriend Muslims, a lot of whom would instead prefer to see them dead. After every new act of savagery on European soil by Islamic terrorists comes the usual merry-go-round of feckless groveling, spearheaded by the likes of Pope Francis. The script has by now been perfected to a T. First, there's a bit of a shock at the callous brutality of the attackers and a bit of tough talk about waging war on a nebulous miasma of "radicalism," which "knows no religion." That done, it's on to distancing the self-proclaimed soldiers of Allah from Islam by claiming they have misunderstood a fine and peaceful religion and violated Islam's core teachings of universal brotherhood among all people (which happen not to exist). That is then followed immediately by warnings, repeated ad nauseam, of an imminent backlash (which never materializes) by "bigoted," "racist" and "xenophobic" Europeans against innocent Muslims who, we're told, are the real victims of Islamic terrorism. Finally, the crescendo of misdirection culminates in lectures to Europeans on their failure to integrate Muslims better and calls on them to atone some more for their forefathers' alleged misdeeds against the great religion of Islam.

Peace will come only when it's not native Europeans but Muslims who are expected to engage in extensive soul-searching apropos the self-evident failures of their communities and societies. Europeans have not failed Muslim immigrants. It's many Muslim immigrants in Europe who have failed their host societies by refusing to integrate and become productive members of them, even as they continue to incubate an atavistic grievance culture of violent jihadism.
Pope Francis should man up and get up from his knees. Groveling isn't a virtue in the face of violent jihad; it's a sign of weakness and moral cowardice. Then again, the stalwarts of the Islamic State have openly declared war against the Vatican ("We will conquer your Rome, break your crosses, and enslave your women, by the permission of Allah, the Exalted") will like a pope on his knees just fine.

The Big Picture, The Gathering Storm

Terry James has just written another excellent commentary - one that captures my feelings over the last 2-3 weeks. If you take a step back and take a look at where we are on the timeline-sequence of events, in terms of the big picture, it is pretty haunting. Considering the massive loss of freedoms, the growing police state, the threats of financial collapse, economic wars, proxy wars, the alignment of nations against Israel, the rise of ISIS, Russia and Iran having military troops and bases to the north of Israel, nuclear threats, EMP threats, the immigration crisis, the threats of the UNSC dividing Jerusalem and Israel in a binding agreement, the increasing quakes and volcanoes, including the threats of Yellowstone and San Andreas, Agenda 21, corruption in politics, South China Sea tensions, ISIS infiltrating the U.S. and Europe, persecution, and on and on the list goes. We get desensitized at times as the news comes in waves on a daily basis.

The next couple of articles take a look at the big picture - serving as an important reminder of where we are in the generation:

Like it does from time to time while lurching toward the end of this troubled age, the world, prophetically speaking, seems to be pausing to catch its breath.
We’ve sometimes called it a “lull” because prophetic progression appears to be on hold. It’s kind of like in the south when a severe springtime storm is about to produce a big tornado. Everything gets eerily still.
What is actually happening, I’m told, is that the big super-cell thunderhead is sucking the surrounding atmosphere into its building vortex. All turns a greenish-yellow color and not a leaf is rustling.
One of the mistakes we who observe things on a global scale with regard to Bible prophecy make is to view things too much from our American perspective, I think. Things seem to be whirling around us, but the larger picture presents a different view.
You hear the rumbling and see the lightning flashing on the black horizon, but all is perfectly still, as if the complexion of the earth has taken on a sickly pallor. It seems that this humanistic system is holding its collective breath in somewhat of a perceived pause in these scary moments.
Presidential politics right now in the U.S., on the other hand, are anything but eerily calm. For example, the campaign rhetoric and vitriol are raw rough and tumble. Americans who see things through a strictly political prism believe this is a storm we are in–one that will determine where our world will be torn apart, depending upon who wins the presidency. The atmosphere is turbulent. We are in the midst of a terrible, national storm with the nation’s future at stake.
That might all be true, but on a global basis, thinking in terms of Bible prophecy, there seems to this eschatological weather observer to be an environment surrounding us with an ominous pallor that harbors far greater lethality. There portends within the building storm clouds far greater dangers than those given off by the political winds that are whipping us all into a frenzy here in America.
Internationally, the powers and principalities of Ephesians 6: 12 are working quietly behind the scenes. They are striving as hard as ever before to bring about that great, end-times tornado the Lord terms Tribulation.
One can sense, if spiritually attuned to the pre-storm goings-on, the very corruptive atmosphere of fallen man being drawn into the coming Tribulation vortex. Yet there seems to be for the moment an eerie calm, despite evidence everywhere one looks of brewing trouble.
The president of the United States is reportedly working with the United Nations to bring about a  two-state solution to the “Palestinian-Israeli problem” before he leaves office. Israel, itself, remains basically in a lull, while looking in every direction at a storm that is gathering against it. Russia and its headstrong president are making strange, unanticipated withdrawal gestures and movements in and around Syria and other entrant points to the Middle East. North Korea blusters ahead with nuclear and missile tests, actions intended to threaten it’s immediate neighbor, South Korea, and the rest of us as well. China builds islands in international waters then claims them as their territory, while building military bases upon the newly formed land to threaten anyone who dares question its intentions.
Iran continues to silently work on a nuclear program that it no doubt thinks will one day be used against the Great Satan and the little Satan–the U.S. and Israel.
The world’s building economic disaster expands by the hour like an embolism within the human brain. The silent bubble could erupt explosively at any time, bringing the global, financial catastrophe many fear.
Agents of the Father of Lies work feverishly and incessantly to implant within the fallen minds of mankind that Christianity is a viper’s nest of hatred. Just to our northern border, Canada’s supreme judicial body has ruled in a number of cases that biblical text can be construed as hate speech that must not and will not be tolerated. One pastor spent 10 years and more than $200,000 to finally get a reversal of such a charge against him. Americans would be foolish to assume that such a devilish invasion of evil jurisprudence isn’t in Satan’s plans for this nation. As a matter of fact, we’ve already  experienced such evil at some level. The cases involving the homosexual agenda and bakeries and flower shops that refuse to provide services for same-sex marriages come to mind.
All of the above and much more give evidence of the very atmosphere of liberty we have enjoyed since the country’s founding being sucked into the building thunderhead that will produce the greatest storm in human history.
While the world catches its breath, the  power of the storm continues to build. Satan seems as if he will have his way against all of humanity in this great destructive era that now rumbles upon earth’s angry horizon.
But, Jesus said:
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. (John 16:33)
The Lord promised the believer who is alive at the time this end-times storm threatens:
Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. (Revelation 3:10)
It is altogether fitting and appropriate to echo the words of John the revelator: “Even so, come Lord Jesus” (Rev. 22:20b).

For Americans there are two things of which many Christians seemingly are unaware: "Agenda 21" and "George Soros." Both have had a huge effect on the direction of the United States for the last 15 to 20 years and to disregard them as just "conspiracy theories" could literally lead to our downfall as a world power—or even the loss of freedoms we take for granted.

But understanding what and who they are, and the detrimental influence they have had on our country, is absolutely necessary to know...unless you want to take an ostrich approach to our problems.

So below is a summary of Agenda 21...not meant to be fully in-depth, but hopefully enough to give you the big picture.

Agenda 21

While Christian conservatives are focused on the fight to elect politicians who espouse Biblical values, most of us are unaware of the socialism being inserted into our local communities through Agenda 21. Never heard of Agenda 21? If not, that's what they're counting on.

Agenda 21 is a world agenda that is directly affecting your life, liberty and pursuit of happiness...yet few have even heard of the phrase.

Agenda 21, in a nutshell, is a United Nations program promoting socialist goals that attack U.S. constitutionally protected freedoms and liberties.

(And if you're not worried about the stupid U.N., think again. Liberals are pushing for the U.N.'s laws to be superior to our laws. But that's a whole different subject I won't get into now.)

Agenda 21 is the blueprint for the United Nations to control the world. Yes, they actually think they can. And the Bible says eventually there WILL be a world government, so we're watching Bible prophecy being fulfilled.

Agenda 21 is an abbreviation of "The Global Agenda for the 21st Century." It got its start in 1992 when the United Nations held a huge conference in Rio de Janeiro called "The United Nations' Conference on Environment and Development"  or "The Real Earth Summit."

The U.S. Congress never approved Agenda 21, but President George H. W. Bush (Senior), Clinton and Obama have all signed Executive Orders implementing it in the U.S.!

According to U.N. literature, Agenda 21 is a comprehensive plan of action to be implemented globally, nationally and locally by the U.N. to cover every area in which humans affect the environment...which is, of course, everything.

The program is not secret, but openly promoted within the U.N.'s public socialistic objectives.

However, they stealthily have substituted the words "Sustainable Development" for "Environment" in order to be more acceptable to Americans. So pay attention to the word "sustainable" in the future.

Since the Rio Summit, the U.N. has mostly bypassed national governments using Agenda 21's International Council of Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI) to make agreements directly with local governments.

Agenda 21 authors admit that it "...calls for specific changes in the activities of all people." No one would be free from the watchful eye of the proposed global tracking and information system.

Sound familiar? Rev 13:16-18 talks about getting to the point that every person on the planet will be controlled from one place.

This happens a few years after the Rapture, so as this moves along, the closer we are to our "twinkling of an eye" exit (1 Cor 15:51-52).

The ultimate goal of Agenda 21, now cleverly referred to as "Growth Management," "Smart Growth," or "Comprehensive Planning," is to cram people into small livable areas in order to institute population control.

Agenda 21 includes a plan for "social justice" that will redistribute wealth. The U.S. is one of the wealthiest countries in the world, and naturally uses more energy, so we will be the hardest hit by environmental regulation.

Third world countries that cannot financially afford to comply with the ridiculous environmental regulations will continue their high levels of fossil fuel consumption, forcing the U.S. to conserve even more to make up for those countries.

Not surprisingly, Obama committed thousands of federal employees in 25 federal agencies to promote "sustainability" in rural areas, completely bypassing Congressional approval!

Agenda 21 will be difficult to defeat now that it is already ingrained into over 600 local governments across the U.S. It IS possible that if Republicans take over the White House, the President could ban Agenda 21. But don't hold your breath.

So the only way to actually fight this thing is to fight it locally. "Texans for Accountable Government" is doing this by educating local boards and commissions and serving on them. It's going to take that kind of grass roots action. See link below.

But don't miss the main objective of the U.N., which is total control of everyone and everything.

Even if it seems far-fetched to you and me, the fact is they believe it and the Bible predicts it. And for the world's elitists (Satan's minions) the U.S. is the last stumbling block to total control.

The idea of an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack disabling the U.S. energy grid has now gone mainstream.
A slide leaked to the Washington Examiner from a U.S. Air Force briefing show the military is now taking the threat very seriously.
Titled: “Our grids have become vulnerable”, the slide cataloged a spread of the potential threats including aging infrastructure, determined adversaries and severe natural disasters.
These warnings echo the efforts of Dr. Peter Vincent Pry, the Executive Director of the Task Force on National and Homeland Security and Director of the U.S. Nuclear Strategy Forum, who has been raising concerns about the potential threat North Korea, Iran, China, and Russia pose to the U.S. through EMP weaponry.
At the end of February, Dr. Pry wrote a report for the Gatestone Institute International Policy Council — a New York City-based think-tank  — detailing that there is overwhelming evidence that North Korea not only already has nuclear-armed missiles but could strike the U.S. mainland. He also stated that he believes North Korea has already tested a Super-EMP weapon capable of disabling the U.S. Energy grid.
Today, South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff reported that North Korea fired a short-range missile
In Tuesday’s incident, the projectile was fired from the coastal city of Wonsan and traveled more than 120 miles before hitting land, South Korea’s Yonhap news agency reported, citing the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff.
North Korea fired a projectile believed to be a short-range missile Tuesday, the nation’s latest rebuke of sanctions and military exercises being conducted by the United States and South Korea.

Boko Haram, the Nigerian Islamic extremist group, has killed more people in the name of jihad than the Islamic State (ISIS), according to the findings of a new report. Since 2000, when twelve Northern Nigerian states began implementing or more fully enforcing Islamic sharia law, "between 9,000 to 11,500 Christians" have been killed. This is "a conservative estimate."

In addition, "1.3 million Christians have become internally displaced or forced to relocate elsewhere," and "13,000 churches have been closed or destroyed altogether." Countless "thousands of Christian businesses, houses and other property have been destroyed."

The report alludes to a number of other factors that connect the growth of the Nigerian jihad to the growth of the global jihad. The rise of anti-Christian, Islamic supremacism "did not emerge in Northern Nigeria until the 1980s, when Nigerian scholars and students returned from Arabic countries influenced by Wahhabi and Salafist teaching.

"Not just radical Islam, Boko Haram being the most notable example, but also Muslim Hausa-Fulani herdsmen and the Northern Muslim political and religious elite are also major actors of targeted violence towards the Christian minority."

Most recently, on March 2, Nigerian human rights lawyer Emmanuel Ogebe sent an email saying: "I arrived Nigeria a few days ago to investigate what appears to be the worst massacre by Muslim [Hausa-Fulani] herdsmen... Over 500 Christian villagers were slain in one night."

Christians living under Sharia law are facing discrimination and marginalization and have limited to no access to federal rights."

The report finally finds that much of the anti-Christian violence derives from the historical "migration of Muslims into non-Muslim territories in northern Nigeria to promote the Islamic religious and missionary agenda in all parts of northern Nigeria."

In other words, what Christians in Nigeria are experiencing is a live snapshot of what millions of Christians and other non-Muslims have experienced since the seventh century, when Islam "migrated" to their borders: violence, persecution, enslavement, and the destruction of churches.

ISIS is planning an imminent attack on Jewish school children – in the next 24 hours or next few days.
Sky News has reported on detailed plans to slaughter youngsters in Turkey, with kindergartners being the prime target.
Last week several ISIS operatives spilled information about the plot after they were arrested in Gaziantep.  The possible mark is a synagogue in Beyoglu, which has a day care.  Neve Shalom had a shooting in 1986 and was bombed in 2003.
“In light of these circumstances, extraordinary security measures are being taken above and beyond the high alert level already in place by the Turkish police, as well as vigilance within the Jewish community,” an intelligence source told Sky News.
On March 19, four Israelis and one other person were killed by a suicide bomber in Istanbul.  In the last eight months, there have been six bombings in Turkey. ISIS is blamed for four and the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) for the other two.

In the aftermath of the recent attacks in Turkey, Belgium and Pakistan, intelligence agencies have been working to coordinate their moves.  They have also warned churches to be on alert.
Turkey has taken in three million refugees. So has Europe, and terrorists have been smuggled among them.
It is uncertain when the attack on the Jewish school was set to take place.  Israel has advised all their citizens to leave Turkey immediately, according to Times of Israel.

German Journalist: 'We All Lie For The CIA' - Forced To Publish The Works Of Intelligence Agents Under His Name

Top German Journalist Admits Mainstream Media Is Completely Fake: "We All Lie For The CIA"

With the increasing propaganda wars, we thought a reminder of just how naive many Westerners are when it comes to their news-feed. As Arjun Walia, of GlobalResearch.ca, notes,  Dr. Ulfkotte went on public television stating that he was forced to publish the works of intelligence agents under his own name, also adding that noncompliance with these orders would result in him losing his job.

He recently made an appearance on RT news to share these facts:

I’ve been a journalist for about 25 years, and I was educated to lie, to betray, and not to tell the truth to the public.

But seeing right now within the last months how the German and American media tries to bring war to the people in Europe, to bring war to Russia — this is a point of no return and I’m going to stand up and say it is not right what I have done in the past, to manipulate people, to make propaganda against Russia, and it is not right what my colleagues do and have done in the past because they are bribed to betray the people, not only in Germany, all over Europe.

It’s important to keep in mind that Dr. Ulfkotte is not the only person making these claims; multiple reporters have done the same and this kind of truthfulness is something the world needs more of.
One (out of many) great examples of a whistleblowing reporter is investigative journalist and former CBC News reporter Sharyl Attkisson.

She delivered a hard-hitting TEDx talk showing how fake grassroots movements funded by political, corporate, or other special interests very effectively manipulate and distort media messages.

Another great example is Amber Lyon, a three-time Emmy award winning journalist at CC, who said that they are routinely paid by the US government and foreign governments to selectively report and even distort information on certain events. She has also indicated that the government has editorial control over content.

Ever since Operation Mockingbird, a CIA-based initiative to control mainstream media, more and more people are expressing their concern that what we see in the media is nothing short of brainwashing.
This is also evident by blatant lies that continue to spam the TV screen, especially when it comes to topics such as health, food, war (‘terrorism‘), poverty, and more.
Things have not changed, in fact, when in comes to mainstream media distorting information and telling lies. They have gotten much worse in recent years, in fact, so it is highly encouraging that more people are starting to see through these lies, even without the help of whistleblowers like Dr. Ulfkotte.
One great example is the supposed ‘war on terror,’ or ‘false flag terrorism.’ There are evenWikileaks documents alluding to the fact that the United States government planned to “retaliate and cause pain” to countries refusing GMOs.
Mainstream media’s continual support of GMOs rages on, despite the fact that a number of countries are now banning these products.
The list of lies goes on and on. It’s time to turn off your T.V. and do your own research if you are curious about what is happening on our planet. It’s time to wake up.

U.S. Seeks Assad's Removal, Mass Surveillance Silences Opinions, ISIS Pledge To Blow Up Eiffel Tower And Invade London

news report from Russia’s Interfax News Service quotes “the press-secretary of the US embassy in Moscow,” whom it identifies as “William Stevens,” as saying that during a meeting U.S. CIA Director William Brennan had in Moscow with “Russia officials” “in early March,” “Director Brennan” chose “to emphasize with Russian officials the importance of Russia and the Assad regime following through on their agreements to implement the cessation of hostilities in Syria” and that, “Director Brennan also reiterated the US government’s consistent support for a genuine political transition in Syria, and the need for Assad’s departure in order to facilitate a transition that reflects the will of the Syrian people.”

If the allegation is true, then the U.S., “in early March,” was demanding “Assad’s departure,” despite there being no participation of the Syrian people in that decision — no new election in Syria, much less Assad’s losing any such election; and, yet, Mr. Brennan was demanding this, “in order to facilitate a transition that reflects the will of the Syrian people,” somehow (despite there being no democratic process whatsoever).

Even Western polling firms have been finding that Assad’s remaining as Syria’s leader is supported by 55% of Syrians, and that the U.S. is blamed by 82% of Syrians as being the source of Syria’s civil war: “82% agree ‘IS [Islamic State] is US and foreign made group’.” In other words: Syrians, the most secular, the most anti-theocratic, people in the entire Middle East, blame people such as John Brennan as the source of their miseries. This same poll found that “79% agree ‘Foreign fighters made war worse’.” It also found: “70% agree ‘Oppose division of country’.”
The Obama Administration favors breaking Syria up into sectarian enclaves: Alawite-Shiite, versus Sunni, versus Druze, versus Kurd. This would be essential in order to permit Saudi Arabia to build an oil pipeline into Europe through the Sunni part of Syria, and Qatar also to build a gas pipeline through the Sunni part of Syria, both in order to get their (U.S.-corporate-backed) oil and gas into Europe, so as to replace Russia’s main market for its oil and gas, which is the EU.

Clearly, American involvement in the political process in Syria is unwelcomed, if not loathed, by the Syrian people. They don’t want the U.S. to continue supporting the jihadists who are destroying their country; and they also don’t want the U.S. dictating that Bashar al-Assad will stop being their leader.

It has been an alliance between the leaderships of U.S., Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and UAE; but, regardless of whether it’s called “the U.S. alliance” or “the Saudi alliance,” or even (possibly) “the Turkish alliance” (and it could be called by any of those three names), it’s the jihadist alliance, and it now seems to be near its final defeat, by, quite clearly, the Russian alliance: Russian air power has enabled the Syrian army (called the SAA or “Syrian Arab Army”) of Bashar al-Assad, plus Lebanon’s Shiite warriors (called “Hezbollah”), plus organization by Iran’s generals, to exterminate thousands of ISIS jihadists. The pro-Syrian alliance, under Russian air-power, are now making final preparations to finish the job, in the Syrian headquarters of ISIS — the city of Raqqa, where ISIS’s “Caliph” is, who could soon be meeting his end.

This major military victory, in Palmyra — the center of the Jihadist-controlled region of Syria (and located south of Raqqa, separated from it only by desert) — was announced on Easter Sunday, 27 March 2016, by the website Syrian Perspective (one of the world’s two great news-sites covering the Syrian war, the other being Al Masdar News), as they headlined, “Palmyra Liberated! General Ayyoob Reviews Troops in Aftermath of Enormous Victory; What’s Next?”

The Syrian and Russian Air Forces have been directed into the air to block any movement of terrorist ISIS rodents to any area considered a stronghold. This means that no deal was ever struck between the army and the murderers inside the city. Instead, what happened was the army was commanded to permit a withdrawal with the understanding that escaped rats would still be targets once the city was liberated. As I write, SAA engineers are everywhere inside the city removing IEDs, booby-traps and mines. It’s a thankless task replete with danger, but, it must be done in order to return the population to a safe city.

Mass surveillance silences minority opinions, according to study

A new study shows that knowledge of government surveillance causes people to self-censor their dissenting opinions online. The research offers a sobering look at the oft-touted "democratizing" effect of social media and Internet access that bolsters minority opinion.
The study, published in Journalism and Mass Communication Quarterly, studied the effects of subtle reminders of mass surveillance on its subjects. The majority of participants reacted by suppressing opinions that they perceived to be in the minority. This research illustrates the silencing effect of participants’ dissenting opinions in the wake of widespread knowledge of government surveillance, as revealed by whistleblower Edward Snowden in 2013.

The “spiral of silence” is a well-researched phenomenon in which people suppress unpopular opinions to fit in and avoid social isolation. It has been looked at in the context of social media and the echo-chamber effect, in which we tailor our opinions to fit the online activity of our Facebook and Twitter friends. But this study adds a new layer by explicitly examining how government surveillance affects self-censorship.

The sick jihadis said the attack will come “from where you don't expect” in a sinister propaganda video comes just days after the Brussels terror attacks.

ISIS claimed responsibility for the attacks on the Belgian capital which struck an airport and metro station - leaving 31 dead at 300 injured.

The latest chilling video, narrated in English, claims ISIS are plotting to "invade" the capitals of Europe - including London and Berlin - "like we did in Paris before".

The group also threatens to "rip the crosses" off every Christian church.
The sinister propaganda video concludes by showing the Eiffel Tower exploding and crashing to the ground.

The video begins with a river of blood pooling and dripping off a wooden table filled with stacks of American money, guns, knives and bullets.

But, the clip features the name of video game designer with a US company carved into the wood of the animated table.

The video also includes footage of air strikes on ISIS targets and news reels of attacks they have carried out.

The narrator warned: "To you western Kafir, you that meant to fight Islam, vengeance is coming against the 'new crusaders'.

"It will be welcomed by Allah's permission."

The video goes on to show ISIS members tearing down church crosses in Christian communities in the Middle East after being taken over by the terror group.

The narrator adds: "We will come to you and terrify you everywhere.

"We will come after you from where you don't expect and fill your streets with blood."

The recent revelation that the NSA has plans to share intercepted private communications with other domestic intelligence agencies has caused a massive backlash, with many viewing the shift as “unconstitutional.” Two experts join Radio Sputnik’s Brian Becker to discuss if the policy is just a “giant fishing expedition for law enforcement.”

The agency’s plan circumvented the US Congress and was revealed in a New York Times report last month. In response, a number of US lawmakers wrote a letter to the NSA director to express their concerns.

Speaking to Loud & Clear host Brian Becker, Bryan Ford, a professor at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, stresses that the legislative branch should not be left in the dark about any government policies.

“We shouldn’t be finding out about what’s happening with the NSA form the New York Times,” Declan McCullagh, a technology journalist, adds. “It’s the Authority Oversight Committee. They should be finding it from the NSA itself. There is a failure of Democratic enforcement here.”

The NSA’s plans to turn over private wiretaps to agencies like the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) or FBI without any warrants marks a major assault on constitutional privacy rights, McCullagh says.

“It’s a huge transformation of the Fourth Amendment,” he says. “They [intelligence agencies] don’t think when they collect massive amounts of data. They don’t consider this searching [before getting warrants] unless someone goes and looks at it. This is an insane interpretation of what’s actually going on.”

Ford adds that the “ongoing reduction” of the Fourth Amendment is just another step toward establishing a surveillance state.

Another instance that proves the trend, he says, is a fierce struggle between the FBI and Apple over the encryption of iPhones. The agency demanded that the tech giant open access to the company’s encrypted phone in order to obtain data on terrorists linked to the San Bernardino shooting.

“It was the iPhone that allowed the FBI to play the terrorism card as a test case in an attempt to use courts to get what they couldn’t get using Congress,” Ford says, adding that the agency was using an emotionally charged case to gain support from ordinary Americans.

McCullagh says that the FBI’s attempts to set a precedent with Apple could have opened a Pandora’s Box.

“The real issue is not the phone, but the fact that once this backdoor process is in place, all the other agencies, including the local agencies, will want to use the same backdoor, depending on the way you look at it.” McCullagh stressed. “Other countries around the world will be demanding from Apple to do the same things. It basically begins the race to the bottom of insecurity for everyone.”

The FBI faced significant opposition from not only Apple, but the general public as well. According to Ford, many ordinary people were concerned about their own personal information ending up in the hands of law enforcement.

Edward Snowden, the former NSA contractor who revealed the extent of the US government’s domestic surveillance apparatus in 2013, opened the eyes of many people to the issues surrounding surveillance.

“It wasn’t until then, when [Snowden] got every ordinary person to understand what was going on, and what tremendous shift the intelligence community – especially the NSA — had made for its original purpose to surveil foreign targets,” McCullagh says.

McCullagh explains that the ongoing process in the US has its roots in the Cold War era. After the collapse of the USSR, many American organizations formerly engaged in military affairs began constructing domestic surveillance infrastructure.

This is why the US is waging a war against whistleblowers including Snowden and Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks. Assange has been forced to remain within the Ecuadorian Embassy in London to avoid US extradition.

“They made a tremendous contribution in terms of revealing some important things to public, such as abuses in the Iraq War, and many other things,” he said. “There’s an important and legitimate debate about the Wikileaks’ method of actually leaking everything. That doesn’t diminish the importance or value of what they did.”
