This has just been published in the Jerusalem Post, and what makes this information interesting is not so much the fact that Israel recognizes the obvious, but the fact that they are making this view highly public:

Senior Israeli Official: Talks With Iran Are Not Working

The current round of negotiations between the world powers and Iran is "not working," a senior Israeli official said Monday, adding that after two meetings there is "not an iota of evidence indicating the Iranians are in any way serious about curbing their nuclear program."

Israel was briefed by a senior American team over the weekend about what happened at last week's talks in Baghdad, and the official said what the international community put on the table "is less than what is needed, and even those minimal demands were rejected by the Iranians."

According to the official, the Iranians have succeeded in changing the world's demands. "In the previous rounds of talks, when Iran was only enriching uranium up to three percent, the world's demand was for a full halt to enrichment. Now that they are enriching up to 20% there are those in the world saying they are able to accept a certain amount of enrichment," he said.

Israel's position, which Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu reiterated in a meeting Monday with members of the US Senate's Select Committee on Intelligence, is that Iran must stop all enrichment, transfer all enriched uranium out of the country, and close the underground facility at Qom.

It's nice to know that Israel has a firm grasp of the obvious reality:

Israel, the official said, was "skeptical in the extreme" about the current talks, and said the Iranians have bought themselves two months to move their nuclear ambitions forward – five weeks from the first meeting in Istanbul on April 14 to last week's session in Baghdad, and now another three weeks between that meeting and the next one scheduled for June 19 in Moscow.

"They are successfully playing for time," the official said.

Netanyahu, in a meeting with senators Mark Udall (D-CO), Richard Burr (R-NC), Mark Warner (D-VA), and Barbara Mikulski (D-MD) said the Iranians were playing "nuclear chess." Tehran, he said, might decide to sacrifice a pawn – i.e. give some concessions – in order to "keep their king," which is defined in Jerusalem as Iran keeping its nuclear program intact.

So basically we have a situation in which Israel has given up on any hope of the "talks" producing anything beyond buying Iran more time to develop their nuclear weapons.

Israel cannot allow Iran to produce nuclear weapons.

The question isn't "if" Israel will take out Iran's nuclear facilities, the question now becomes "when" Israel will take out these facilities. When this happens, the powder-keg will explode.

Election Fraud In The U.S.

Eric Shawn of Fox News has done more than anyone else on television to expose the truth about election fraud. For years he's reported on it, and now he's come out with an excellent new special: "Stealing Your Vote."

The issues Shawn covers include fraudulent absentee ballots, illegal petitions to get candidates on ballots, the Wisconsin recall, non-citizen voting, using the registrations of the dead to vote, ACORN and voter registration fraud, voter ID laws and the Obama crusade against them, and the recent appeal by the NAACP to the UN. There's also a terrific segment on the history of election fraud in America. Shawn is imminently fair and goes after both parties. But the most disturbing segment is on the 2008 election for U.S. Senate in Minnesota where illegal voting by felons robbed Sen. Norm Coleman of reelection. That stolen election gave Democrats their filibuster-proof margin -- and made ObamaCare possible.

Time and time again, tyranny has tried to defeat liberty. It’s a never-ending battle in the cycle of history. To the people who suffer from the tyranny of evil men, it seems there is no explanation for their endeavors.

No one will take much note of this. It is just one story among the thousands that together tell the tale of France's decline and Islamization.

Roger Barthes began to celebrate mass, four youths, aged 14 to 18, broke into the Church of St. Joseph, before launching handfuls of pebbles at 150 faithful present at the service. Immediately, men began pursuing the young troublemakers, but in vain. They managed to vanish into thin air, heading towards the city La Conte.

Interrupted by regrettable unexpected event, Mass was finally able to proceed as planned. Although no one was injured and nothing was broken in the church, located along the Avenue Jean Moulin, the parishioners, many of whom are elderly, were greatly shocked by the disrespectful act of the youths of North African origin....

Human Rights vs. Natural Rights

Yet over the course of the last few decades, the Left’s most rewarding play on language has been a not-so-subtle shift from focusing on natural rights to focusing on “human rights.” The former are fixed and derived from God through nature, while the latter are in flux and founded solely upon the decisions various governments and ruling entities make regarding innumerable definitions of freedom.

Our Founding Fathers based the Bill of the Rights on the natural, unchanging rights with which we were endowed by our Creator. Thus they recognized not only our right to freedom of speech, but also freedom of religion and freedom of the press. They recognized not only our right to pursue and own property, but also to be secure in that property, and we were even to have security in our own persons. And to defend these and other natural rights, our Founders recognized that we had a right to keep and bear arms which shall not be infringed.

But a free press, security in our property, and private gun ownership are anathema to tyrants, megalomaniacs, and dictators the world over.

Our Founding Fathers did not envision freedom for a time or liberty that was dependent upon the whims of men or the rulers of men. Rather, they understood that Western civilization stood or fell on the timelessness of natural rights and the system of ordered liberty into which those rights fit. It is to our detriment that we trade these rights for human constructs which opportunistic leftists invent in order to inch their way into our lives.

The blizzard of rules, regulations, must and must-nots emanating from Brussels aims at “harmonizing” the disparate countries of the European so-called union into a single quasi-political-economic entity. As I noted then, one part of this effort was meant to make it easier for the police in one country to round up people in another country for various torts — possessing or selling the wrong sort of bananas, say, or criticizing an EU minister or directive.

The EU bureaucrats may be wretched bankrupts now, but they’re still worrying about the details. Over at NRO, David-Pryce Jones has the low down on the latest Bunny Business. Surely you remember the chocolate bunny made by Lindt, the storied Swiss chocolatier? He may have made his last hop. As David explains, the “great men” of the EU

have been examining this chocolate bunny, and they don’t like the way it is wrapped in gold foil and has a red ribbon round its neck. This is “not sufficiently different,” so they say, from the wrappings of other chocolate products. Apparently Lindt has failed to establish the bunny’s “inherent distinctive character.” And the European Court of Justice accordingly issues a fatwa.

Yes, that’s right: the continent of Europe is listing toward bankruptcy and demographic disaster and the bureaucrats running the joint are worried about the wrapping of chocolate bunnies. “Ordinary people,” as David observes, “can respond only with a belly laugh – and this may be the only joyful thing to remember when the death throes of this whole preposterous experiment are over at last.”

Feature Report: UN's 2012 "Earth Summit" Devised To Disembowel Sovereignty, Impose Absolute Rule

In the run up to the next Earth Summit to be held in Rio in June of this year, the global leviathan that is the United Nations bares its teeth. A continuing stream of publications is pouring down from every corner of the transnational community, in essence calling for global governance of the environment as well as a stark reduction in the global human population. These two items are very much intertwined, according to the growing pile of UN papers flying from the supranational tree, all basically stating that the first is necessary in order to facilitate the latter.

Remember this when you read his proposals for a global society necessary to “address population issues”. Also out of Ecoscience:

“… Perhaps those agencies, combined with UNEP and the United Nations population agencies, might eventually be developed into a Planetary Regime—sort of an international superagency for population, resources, and environment. Such a comprehensive Planetary Regime could control the development, administration, conservation, and distribution of all natural resources, renewable or nonrenewable, at least insofar as international implications exist.”

This suggestion might well come to pass, considering the statements issued by an organization calling itself the “Regeneration Project”, when recently it suggested in their manifest Bringing Rio Closer that the UN Security Council expand its mandate “to include environmental issues and security issues related to the environment” as well as “an International Court for the Environment (ICE) to settle disputes related to the environment and international environmental law.”

As part of the State of the Planet Declaration issued by the UN-backed organization, a collection of high-level scientists now pushes the idea of global governance, calling it “Earth System Governance”. The declaration reads:

“Governments must take action to support institutions and mechanisms that will improve coherence, as well as bring about integrated policy and action across the social, economic and environmental pillars. Current understanding supports the creation of a Sustainable Development Council within the UN system to integrate social, economic and environmental policy at the global level. There is also strong support for strengthening global governance by including civil society, business and industry in decision-making at all levels.”

Spent Fuel Rods Drive Growing Fears In Japan

What passes for normal at the Fukushima Daiichi plant today would have caused shudders among even the most sanguine of experts before an earthquake and tsunami set off the world’s second most serious nuclear crisis after Chernobyl.

The public’s fears about the pool have grown in recent months as some scientists have warned that it has the most potential for setting off a new catastrophe, now that the three nuclear reactors that suffered meltdowns are in a more stable state, and as frequent quakes continue to rattle the region.

The worst-case situations for Reactor No. 4 would be for the pool to run dry if there is another problem with the cooling system and the rods catch fire, releasing enormous amounts of radioactive material, or for fission to restart if the metal panels that separate the rods are knocked over in a quake. That would be especially bad because the pool, unlike reactors, lacks containment vessels to hold in radioactive materials. (Even the roof that used to exist would be no match if the rods caught fire, for instance.)

Huge Demonstrations In Syria

Tens of thousands of activists took to the streets of Aleppo and Idlib on Friday, braving the gunfire of Syrian troops, as at least 28 people were killed across the country.

The latest violence came as UN envoy Kofi Annan, who brokered a repeatedly-violated ceasefire last month, finalized plans to return to Damascus.

Anti-regime protests in Aleppo have been growing since a raid on dormitories at Aleppo University on May 3 killed four students and forced the temporary closure of the state-run school.

Meanwhile on Friday in the northwestern Idlib province, tens of thousands also marched in the rebel-held localities of Maaret al-Numan, Saraqe, Kafrnoubol, Hass and Sarge, Abdel Rahman told AFP. In the southern Daraa province, troops also fired on demonstrators, several of whom were wounded.

Anticipating INS Crocodile, More Submarine Crews Trained

The Israeli Navy is preparing to receive its fourth dolphin class submarine by training a larger number of combat submarine crewmen and marine commando forces. The IDF Website quoted a reliable Navy source as saying approximately 10% more submarine crewmen will be trained at first.

Approximately two weeks ago, Israel Navy Submarine Tanin (Crocodile) was launched in the city of Kiel, Germany and officially handed over to the Ministry of Defense and the Israeli Navy.

The new submarine is considered to be one of the most advanced and versatile in the world, capable of adapting to a wide variety of missions.

Defense Minister Ehud Barak said recently that the new submarine "will amplify the capabilities of the IDF and the State of Israel's strength." In a probable allusion to the conflict with Iran, he added: "The Navy has undergone strategic changes over the past few years that place it at the forefront of the battle over the safety of Israel, as the long arm of the IDF."

Iran Official Says Unconvinced Of Need For IAEA To Inspect Nuclear Site

The United Nation's nuclear watchdog has failed to convince Iran of the need to inspect a military base suspected of housing nuclear weapons' experiments, Iranian media cited the head of country's atomic agency as saying on Saturday.

Comments reportedly made by the head of Atomic Energy Agency of Iran (AEOI) Fereidoun Abbasi came despite last week's announcement of aburgeoning deal between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency(IAEA), according to which the international community would have more access to the Parchin base.

Iran's state-run TV and semi-official Fars news agency both cited
Abbasi as saying Saturday that Iran had not been convinced of the need to inspect the Parchin site, adding that "no documents or reason has been presented to us" to persuade Tehran otherwise.

The UN agency also said satellite images showed "extensive activities" at the Parchin military complex which inspectors want to check over suspicions that research relevant to nuclear weapons was done there.

Earlier this month, an image said to come from inside the Parchin base and showing an explosives containment chamber of the type needed for nuclear arms-related tests that UN inspectors suspect Tehran has conducted at the site.

The Al Houla Atrocity: The Outcome Of Nuclear Deplomacy With Iran

The wanton slaughter by Syrian forces of 92 confirmed victims, 32 of them children under ten, at the Homs village of Al-Houla Friday, May 25, was the most horrifying atrocity in the Middle East this week, but not the only one: In Sanaa, six days ago, al Qaeda’s suicide bombers, having penetrated Yemeni military ranks, detonated two tons of explosives at a parade rehearsal killing more than 100 soldiers and civilians and injuring 400.

Yet, according to the New York Times, after 15 months of bloodshed, President Barack Obama is working on the Yemenbi model for a plan to push Bashar Assad out of office, while “leaving remnants of his government in place. The Yemeni model replaced President Ali Abdullah in Sanaa with his vice president Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

Whereas US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton condemned Assad and his “cronies” for the al-Houla massacre, the “Yemen plan” would leave in place those very “cronies,” including Assad’s close relatives, who are responsible for massacres not only in al-Houla, but also in Homs, Hama, Idlib and Deraa, to name a few

This scrap of dialogue lifted the veil from a key aspect of Obama’s broader Middle East program and the role he has assigned Moscow for carrying it through. This role was first revealed exclusively by DEBKA-Net-Weekly 542 of May 25 which reported that the US president is acting to bring the Russians into a partnership for securing deals on the Iranian nuclear program and the Syrian crisis.

So far, his venture has had two results:

1. The Iranian nuclear impasse and the outcome of the Syrian civil war have been more tightly integrated than ever before.
2. Any deal reached by the US, Russia and Iran on the two issues would have to entail a carving-up of Middle East influence among those three powers.

As usual, Obama's idea of 'diplomacy' is a complete failure - at least for Israel:

As for Israel’s role in the ongoing bargaining, we also disclosed in DEBKAfile of May 19 thatIsrael’s Binyamin Netanyahu and Ehud Barak had agreed to stand back for Barack Obama to put his interim deal with Iran to the test.

Despite their reservations, they decided to go along with it after receiving assurances from the White House that Iranian violations would result in the immediate termination of negotiations and bring military action forward as the sole remaining option for stopping a nuclear Iran.

The US president promised to put his accord with Israel before the G-8 summit. And he did.
But for now there is no deal although Israel, in effect, gave Obama six months’ grace to explore his diplomatic initiative with Vladimir Putin and Ayatollah Ali Khamenei before turning back to the military option.

But as the days pass, major hurdles are piling up in the path of what some observers hail as Obama’s “Grand Bargain,” and others his “Grand Failure:” The Six-power talks with Iran have failed to persuade the ayatollahs to give up uranium enrichment up to weapons-grade; the world wants actions not words to halt the brutal massacres in Syria; rising bloodshed in Yemen continues to cripple the country. Obama’s hopes of a crisis-free six months for electioneering in peace look more and more like pipe-dreams.

The bargaining with Tehran is likely to stay stalled because Iran’s leaders take Obama’s deal with Israel as a six-month respite from a military threat. So why should they hurry in May or even June to reach a compromise with America on its demand to stop 20 percent uranium enrichment?

Bashar Assad and his army chiefs likewise feel US hands are tied by Obama's hopes of a breakthrough with Iran and they can safely carry on with their “unspeakable crimes” for the next six months under the Iranian-Russian umbrella. Words however strong will not discourage him from sending tanks to crush every last opponent and their children.

Meanwhile, we see this:

Russian Ship Bound For Syria Full Of Arms

No wonder the Russians are preventing the UN Security Council from slapping an arms embargo on Syria.

Russia, with the support of fellow veto power China, has prevented the council from imposing any U.N. sanctions on Syria and has refused to halt arms sales to Damascus.

In a letter to the U.N. Security Council, Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said he had seen reports of countries supplying arms to the government and rebels. He urged states not to arm either side in the Syrian conflict.

"Those who may contemplate supporting any side with weapons, military training or other military assistance, must reconsider such options to enable a sustained cessation of violence," he said.

Russia has defended its weapons deliveries to Syria in the face of Western criticism, saying government forces need to defend themselves against rebels receiving arms from abroad. Damascus says Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Libya are among the countries helping the rebels.

"Talks" End In Complete Failure - Exactly As Predicted

Who could have predicted?

Surprise! Talks between the six powers - the US, EU, UK, France, Germany, Russia and China - and Iran have ended in total, complete, embarrassing failure.

Those familiar with the iconic Peanuts gambit with Lucy assuring Charlie Brown that she will hold the football so he can kick it - only to yank it away at the last moment - will recognize Iran's nuclear negotiating strategy.

But after often fraught bargaining in Baghdad, diplomats left declaring they had made no progress at all. "It's been a difficult few days," said a European diplomat in Baghdad. "After our first meeting in Istanbul with Iran a few weeks ago, we were euphoric. Now we're a lot more realistic about just how difficult this negotiation is."

Incredible. A "semi brush-by" is seen as a "softening" toward the US? That's not hope - it's fantasy. In fact, it's pathetic to imbue a chance meeting where a few pleasantries were exchanged with any significance whatsoever. It's not even grasping at straws - it's grasping at thin air.

But the question arises; why do we keep getting fooled by Iran in nuclear negotiations? The talks always start out with "optimism" and quickly devolve into "disappointment." At some point, you'd think the striped pants geniuses would realize the game the Iranians are playing and refuse to take part.

But diplomats care more about process than results. They think that engaging in "dialogue" as a process will eventually turn into "progress" on substance. This kind of myopia is seen yearly in how the US approaches the Israel-Palestinian conflict. It doesn't matter that the Palestinians have sworn to destory Israel. What matters is the "process" of negotiations. The focus may change - settlements, two state solution, etc. - but the process stays the same.

So we and the West will continue to play Iran's game because there literally isn't anything else the diplomats can think of doing.

It's a sorry state of affairs.

Articles: If Only The Left Would Abandon Israel

First, a few F-A-C-T-S (all of which are conveniently ignored by the MSM):

We Israelis are oppressed by everyone, including the U.N., the State Department, the EU, and the Muslims, including the Palestinians. We are oppressed by 60,000-plus rockets aimed at us by our immediate neighbors and by threats of annihilation. And for what? It's either because we exist, which the left and the Arabs think is a crime, or because we are "occupiers," which much of the world finds unconscionable. They forget that UNSC Res. 242 authorized Israel to remain in occupation until she had recognized and secure borders. They argue that the Fourth Geneva Convention applies, even though Israel is not occupying the land of another signatory to the treaty as provided therein.

The condemnation of Israel is based on the belief that the disputed territories are Palestinian. How so? They have never exercised sovereignty over said lands. The Arabs rejected the Partition Plan in 1948 that would have led to their sovereignty and invaded Israel instead. For the next nineteen years the West Bank was under Jordanian control, and no one ever called for a Palestinian state. In 1967, the Arabs were utterly defeated in a war they began. As a result, the UNSC passed Res. 242, which does not require Israel to withdraw from all the territories. At the Khartoum Conference, the Arabs rejected Res. 242 and agreed on the three nos: no recognition, no negotiations, and no peace. Arafat accepted Res. 242 because such acceptance was a precondition to entering the Oslo Accords, but he never agreed to its terms. And now they reject negotiations.

Israel, on the other hand, can claim sovereignty over these lands, pursuant to the San Remo Resolution of 1919 and the Palestine Mandate of 1922 which granted the Jews the right to reconstitute their homeland in Palestine and the right to close settlement of the land. She can also claim sovereignty over these lands by virtue of a continuous presence in the land for 3,000 years, by virtue of 1,000 years of sovereignty, by virtue of acquiring the land in a defensive war, or by insisting that only the Jordan River would constitute secure borders.

Wait, there is more below - aka "the bottom line":

The Jewish left prefer to ignore the reality. The Arabs are dedicated to destroying the Jewish state, in phases if necessary. The charters of both Hamas and Fatah say so. Sharia says so. The incessant preaching of hatred says so. The support for terrorism says so. The unwillingness to compromise their maximalist demands says so. Yet the left blame Israel for the lack of peace.

In the end, it's not about old and new Zionism, but rather about survival. The left wants Israel to give in to the demands of the Arabs and the international community in order to survive, though history does not support this belief. The right believes that doing so would lead to Israel's destruction. The right prefers peace through strength.

At the end of all of this - the commentaries, the feelings and opinions of both the left and right, etc. - none of it really matters. Why?

Because God has a specific and comprehensive plan - a plan that will be carried out exactly as foretold, and all of the opinions on both sides of the issues involving Israel simply don't matter (ultimately). Regardless, God's plan will be carried out, and we prophecy watchers know the main aspects of this plan.

The various debates, arguments, opinions, feelings etc., are of no consequence to God, as His plan unfolds.

Lets recall the scriptures, specifically from Psalm 33 and view how God sees current events:

"Let all the earth fear the Lord;

Let all the people of the world revere him,

For he spoke and it came to be;

he commanded, and it stood firm.

The Lord Foils the plans of the nations;

he thwarts the purposes of the peoples.

But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever,

the purposes of his heart through all generations.

From heaven the Lord looks down and sees all mankind;

from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earth -

No king is saved by the size of his army;

no warrior escapes by his great strength

But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him

on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,

We wait in hope for the Lord;

he is our help and our shield.

In him our hearts rejoice,

for we trust in his holy name.

May your unfailing love rest upon us O Lord,

even as we put our hope in you."

(Psalm 33:8-11, 13-14, 16, 18, 20-22)
