United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon called on Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to immediately implement a six-point ceasefire agreement arranged through envoy Kofi Annan three days ago.Annan, Ban's predecessor, had managed to persuade Assad to accept a six-point peace plan earlier this week that was backed for the first time by the entire U.N. Security Council – including Russia and China."I urge President Assad to carry out these obligations immediately,” Ban said in a statement to media Wednesday at a news conference in Kuwait.The plan calls for the withdrawal of heavy weapons and troops from populated areas, unimpeded access for humanitarian aid workers, the release of prisoners jailed during the uprising, freedom of movement and access for journalists, a political process between the government and opposition, and allowance of peaceful demonstrations.Thus far, Assad has ignored the agreement despite the commitments he made; on Wednesday, government forces continued their assault on villages throughout the country, and several across the border in Lebanon as they pursued rebels and Syrian civilians alike. Troops also seized control of the central city of Kalat el-Mudik, completing a 17-day siege of the area.

Jordan To Allow Global March To Jerusalem
Jordanian authorities confirmed on Tuesday that they will permit a planned Global March to Jerusalemin the Jordan Valley on Friday.The Iranian news agency Fars quoted the Jordanian Public Security Department (PSD) as having confirmed authorities will allow Islamist activists to lead a march as part of global demonstrations “in support of Jerusalem.”
Previous “million-man” marches have fizzled with few participants, but the Jordanian and Lebanese governments have offered more support this time around. Israel has warned them not to try cross the international borders.
The Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center (ITIC) has presented information that the Iranian regime is behind the initiative and openly supports it. The march has also been endorsed by Rev. Jeremiah Wright, who was U.S. President Barack Obama's pastor for 20 years at the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago.
Christian Workers In Gulf Countries Warned About Saudi Cleric's Call To 'Destroy Churches'
A call by Saudi Arabia’s top religious authority for a demolition of all churches in the Arabian Peninsula has prompted an organization representing Filipino workers in the region to advise caution and discretion.
John Leonard Monterona, regional coordinator of the Migrante-Middle East organization, urged non-Muslim Filipino workers in Saudi Arabia to be careful not to violate restrictions imposed by the host government, to avoid being imprisoned.
On March 12, the Saudi grand mufti, Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al-Asheikh, told a visiting Kuwaiti delegation that all churches in the Arabian Peninsula should be destroyed. He cited Mohammed as having said on his deathbed – according to a hadith – “There are not to be two religions in the [Arabian] Peninsula.”
Monterona recalled that a number of Filipinos and other foreign nationals had been apprehended by the Saudi religious police, the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice, for illegal religious activity.
“The [Filipino workers] along with their pastors were eventually released on the condition that they will stop their regular religious worships and gatherings,” he said.
House Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) said Tuesday that “the American people should be very afraid” after hearing President Barack Obama’s accidentally recorded remarks to Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on Monday that after the election he would have more “flexibility” in dealing with the Russians.
"I judge that in fact he’s going to sell out our national defense after the election," said Issa.
“So, when he sends to the president [Medvedev] who’s about to leave office in favor of Putin coming back in and taking over officially, that we can work together to get what Putin wants, quite candidly the American people should be very afraid that any President who’s going to be flexible with Putin is going to be flexible with an enemy of America, an enemy of the West, an enemy of even delivery of oil and natural gas to people in need in the winter,” Issa said.
Obama actually plans to do it. He actually plans to neuter America by unilaterally dismantling most of the U.S. strategic nuclear arsenal. In fact, Barack Obama says that the United States has a "moral obligation" to disarm as we lead the way to "a world without nuclear weapons". Sadly, a "world without nuclear weapons" is a fantasy that will not be possible any time soon. Nuclear weapons technology is getting into more hands with each passing year, and geopolitical tensions are rising all over the globe. If the United States did not have nuclear weapons, anyone with just a handful of nukes would constitute a massive threat to our national security.
Many out there claim that even if the U.S. only has a few hundred nuclear warheads that it will be more than enough to be an effective deterrent.
Sadly, that simply is not true.
If an enemy knows that we only have a few hundred warheads, and if they know exactly where those warheads are located for verification purposes, then a first strike which would take out the vast majority of our operational warheads becomes very plausible.
By shifting the balance of power so dramatically, Barack Obama is making a nuclear attack on the United States someday far more likely.
And we have no idea how many nukes the Chinese have. They could have thousands. We have no nuclear weapons treaty with them and so they can build as many nukes as they want.
How in the world can we be so foolish?
But Obama doesn't just want to strip us of our nukes.
He also appears very willing to negotiate away our missile defenses.
On Monday, an exchange between Barack Obama and Russian President Dmitri Medvedev was caught by a microphone that was accidentally on.

So essentially Obama is saying that he will be willing to negotiate away our missile defenses after the 2012 election when he won't be accountable to the American people any longer.

IDF Fortifies Borders: Iran Flying Thousands Of "Activists" To Syrian And Lebanese Borders
This "global march" on Jerusalem may end up being more than previously expected.

Israel boosted its Syrian and Lebanese border units as special flights carrying thousands of pro-Palestinian activists from Tehran touched down in Damascus Tuesday, March 27 for the international Global March to Jerusalem Friday, March 30. Before taking off, they were split into small groups and tutored by Iranian Al Qods Brigades officers in tactics for breaching Israeli border barriers, bursting through and challenging the Israeli military forces defending the border.
On arrival in Damascus, one group of activists was sent by special bus to Lebanon, where Hizballah officers stood by to lead them to villages close to the Israeli frontier; a second is assigned to face Israeli lines on the Golan.
These anti-Israeli activists from several countries are being planted at strategic points to carry out the plan hatched together by Iran, Syria and Hizballah to ignite Israel’s two northern borders in solidarity with the annual Israeli-Arab Earth Day next Friday.
Earlier reports from Damascus that the demonstrators would keep the Quneitra sector of the Golan and the Lebanese Beaufort were meant to put the Israeli command off its stroke by disguising the real scope of their plans and their objective:
a mass assault on Israeli borders. They are programmed to coincide with the outbreaks the Palestinian Authority is preparing for Jerusalem and the West Bank and Israeli-Arab disturbances inside Israel – all on the same day, as DEBKAfile reported earlier Tuesday.
The Palestinian extremists of the Gaza Strip will certainly not stand aloof.
This is obviously not intended as a peaceful demonstration. Whatever violence ensues will certainly be blamed on Israel. This scenario may be a set-up in order to gather yet another consensus of condemnation against Israel on an international level. The risk, however, is that such demonstrations are taking place on a powder-keg and it could take very little to ignite the entire region.

The question becomes, "where is this situation in Syria headed?". The predictable outcome will be another country's rise of the Muslim Brotherhood and another regime dedicated to the destruction of Israel - very similar to what we have seen in Egypt:

A Jewish motorist barely escaped with his life Monday afternoon after an Arab mob attacked his vehicle as he drove through a Jerusalem neighborhood.The motorist, an unidentified 42-year-old man, was traveling through Wadi Al-Joz when he was suddenly attacked by dozens of Arabs.The vehicle was pelted with dozens of rocks as the driver desperately continued to drive through the attack. One of the attackers also hurled a concrete block at the car, smashing the windshield and wounding the driver.
After he reached a safe location, the wounded motorist was evacuated to Jerusalem's Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center, where he received treatment for a wide range of injuries
Israeli forces this week are gearing up for the annual "Land Day" marches by Arabs inside Israel and outside its borders. The event, scheduled for this Friday, promises to be a more severe challenge this year after regional powers like Iran, Hizballah, the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas became actively involved in planning the march.Thousands of people from the Middle East and other parts of Asia have reportedly arrived in Syria and will begin their trek to the Israeli border in the coming days. Similar marches are planned from Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, and from within the Palestinian Authority-controlled territories.This year, the international effort is focusing on Jerusalem amid claims that Israel is increasingly trying to "Judaize" the city. Most Arabs deny the Jews' historical and religious connections to Jerusalem.The Muslim Brotherhood and other Arab groups have promised that the demonstrations will be non-violent, but these things have a way of quickly spiraling out of control. And, of course, there is no way Israel can allow the huge number of foreign marchers to actually reach Jerusalem.

Specifically, I have signed this bill on the understanding that section 1022 provides the executive branch with broad authority to determine how best to implement it, and with the full and unencumbered ability to waive any military custody requirement, including the option of waiving appropriate categories of cases when doing so is in the national security interests of the United States.”

Israel To Cut Off Contacts With UN Human Rights Council
The foreign ministry decided Monday to cut off all contacts with the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), a senior diplomatic official said.The move comes following the decision by the council last Thursday to send a fact-finding mission to the West Bank to probe the impact of the settlements on Palestinian human rights.From now on, the officials said, Israel's ambassador to the UN organizations in Geneva will not appear before the council, answer any phone calls from the council, or cooperate with them in any way.
Israel is prepared to handle this week’s “Global March to Jerusalem,” officials said on Sunday, as organizers plan a multi-pronged rush on the country’s borders to mark the 36th anniversary of Land Day on Friday.Organizers of the event – known as “GMJ” – say they are planning peaceful marches on the Israeli border in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Egypt, at checkpoints in the West Bank and at entrances to the Gaza Strip.Organizers said processions would also be organized in Arab and Muslim capitals worldwide, and in front of Israeli embassies in a number of unspecified countries.Another official said all necessary precautions were being taken, and that Jordan and Egypt had an interest in keeping their borders quiet.
The situation in Lebanon is less clear. One Israeli official said marchers would likely proceed as far as Beaufort – a Crusader castle several kilometers north of the border – while another warned that Iranian involvement in Lebanon’s south means no scenario could be ruled out.
Earlier this week, the Israel-based Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center reported that Iran is the primary force behind the initiative, both directly and through proxies such as Hezbollah. In February, Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei described the Global March as an expression of Iran’s policy to strengthen “resistance operations” against Israel.
The GMJ intends to assemble activists in all the countries surrounding Israel. They will then begin simultaneously to march in the direction of the border. This will take place to coincide with annual protest marches by Arab citizens of Israel.
One of the organizers expressed the aims of the march in the following terms: “Imagine a situation where we have more than a million people streaming in from four borders and Israel fails to stop the human tide. Once we have broken this mental barrier, then it’s all over. Next time we will have 5 million who will be marching in and it will only grow from there. This is exactly the nightmare situation for Israel.”The hopes that the organizers are investing in the march are thus not modest. They think they are about to initiate a process that will lead to the end of Israel: the GMJ, the activist’s email continues, “will undermine the Israeli state like no other strategy and then it will all begin to unravel and the Zionist edifice, which is unraveling as we speak, will soon fall. It’s a matter of time now, as we well know.”This initiative is the product of an international alliance that has emerged in recent years between mainly Sunni Islamists and Western leftist supporters of the destruction of Israel.What sets the GMJ apart somewhat from previous initiatives of this kind, however, is the notable representation of Iranian and Iran-regime associated groups among its backers. This suggests Iranian government backing for the march. The Iranian-linked groups form a third pillar, alongside the Sunni, Muslim-Brotherhood linked groups and the less important Western leftist anti-Zionists.The Society for Defense of the Palestinian Nation, the Quds News Agency, and the International Union of Unified Ummah are among the long list of Iran-linked groups that are among the organizers of this campaign.How seriously should Israel be taking the threat represented by the Global March to Jerusalem? Firstly, the campaign to delegitimize Israel is a genuinely global project, bringing together Islamists and far leftists from across the world. As the experience of the first flotilla shows, complacency and failure to properly prepare for its activities can end badly.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Monday the United States could no longer dictate policy to the rest of the world and that relations between NATO and Pakistan would become more unstable."NATO and the United States should change their policy because the time when they dictate their conditions to the world has passed," Ahmadinejad said in a speech during a conference on Afghanistan's economy in the capital of neighboring Tajikistan.
