The United Nations has reported that an estimated 735 million people around the world are facing hunger and that most of these are in Africa, the Christian Post (CP) reports.

Titled “State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World,” the report was published on Wednesday last week by five specialized UN agencies – the Food and Agriculture Organization, the International Fund for Agricultural Development, the United Nations Children’s Fund, the World Health Organization, and the World Food Program, CP reports.

The UN report asserts that between 691 to 783 million people faced hunger in 2022, with a mid-range of 735 million, CP reports. This figure represents an increase of 122 million people compared to 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic began.

The authors of the UN report warned that if this crisis goes unchecked, one of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals for ending hunger by 2030 will not be achieved, CP said.

“Hunger is rising while the resources we urgently need to protect the most vulnerable are running dangerously low. As humanitarians, we are facing the greatest challenge we’ve ever seen. We need the global community to act swiftly, smartly and compassionately to reverse course and turn the tide on hunger,” WFP Executive Director Cindy McCain said in a statement. “At WFP, we are committed to working with all our partners — both old and new — to create a world where no one questions when their next meal will come,” McCain said.

Seriously? Are they serious, or just talk the talk, no walking the talk though??? They created the crisis's to begin with, in my opinion!

OK, take the unexplained whereabouts of sent 80 reputed Billions, and put weapon deals $$ into food production, farming, hydroponic growing food, allowed FOOD distribution as should flow, and for the love of GOD, feed the people then, duh!!!!!!! Real simple, while at it, have all Government contribute from their millions made in time playing with the people's money, put $$ toward feeding the hungry?? That helps, right?

Stop created IMO, endless win-less but very negotiable war games while people go hungry, share the resources that is the peoples in the first place; Plenty of resources and not lying greedy tyrants to horde, IN MY OPINION> WHINE about a problem greedy folks created in first place???? Play on words with Organizations that are suppose to make someone feel good, hey, doesn't feed hungry folks fast enough
evidently?
