It is hard to read this commentary by Caroline Glick and not immediately ponder the idea of whether or not God will hold the U.S. in judgement, according to the Genesis 12:3 scripture where God makes a very specific, unequivocal declaration regarding those who bless Israel vs those who 'curse' Israel. Take a look at the following and ponder that topic for a few minutes:
1 The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.
2 “I will make you into a great nation,
and I will bless you;
I will make your name great,
and you will be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you,
and whoever curses you I will curse;
and all peoples on earth
will be blessed through you.”

I do believe the thing that is stopping God from judging America is they have been Israel's ally, but that seems to be changing.
So I do believe judgement is coming.
My prayers go out to yous in America.
With that said, does anyone think that God loving Christians are possibly holding back God's judgement.
In Gen 18:16-33 Abraham is asking God would he not destroy the city if there was 50 righteous people, then 45 and so on.
So He ended up saving Lot and his family.
Is it possible that Christians could be taken out of the way, ie. The Rapture. Then maybe God will judge America like He did with Sodom and Gomorrah.
Thought i'd throw that out there :)

My only hope is your last comment - that the gathering up will take place first - then judgment. But the warning in Genesis 12:3 is unequivocal and applies to all nations. Praying that we're out of here.
But if you really look at it - almost everything we are doing in the Middle East goes directly against Israel directly or indirectly and its very disconcerting. Let's hope you are right
