Saturday Headlines:

I don't want to put too much in today's post because it could obscure the video linked in the post below this one (from earlier today - if you haven't scrolled down, please do so):

First up: A very timely and germane column by Caroline Glick:

“It will take at least six months to see whether sanctions are effective and by then it may be too late,” said Kam, author of the 2007 book, “A Nuclear Iran: What Does it Mean, and What Can be Done.”

“We’re definitely using different clocks,” he said.

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, threatened Israel on Friday, saying the Islamic Republic will help any nation or group that confronts the Jewish State, The Associated Press reported.

In remarks to worshippers during Friday prayers in Tehran which were broadcast on state TV, Khamenei said Iran would continue its nuclearprogram and warned that any military strike by the U.S. would only make Iran stronger.

Earlier Friday, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, threatened Israel and said the Islamic Republic will help any nation or group that confronts the Jewish State.

There are now two potential triggers for a Middle East confrontation with Iran. They are closely interrelated: The urgent need for action this year to preempt Iran's nuclear bomb program before it is too late and the Syrian army's appalling and escalating butchery of civilians.

Boy this is really heating up. You can always tell when Israel steps up its covert operations within Iran. You see the stress played out not only in Iran's public statements but in the U.S. statements as well.

When Panetta took over defense he tried to put Israel in their place only to be rebuked publicly from within the Israeli government, and the public at large.

Since then he has had to walk back a number of statements acknowledging that his timeline was not right. I'm always amazed at his arrogance when he speaks publicly. He walks a statement out there and then we see him slowly and deliberately humbled by a situation that is under God's control not his.

Having said that though I have to give him credit for going after bin laden. He made that decision without Obama's and his senior adviser valerie jarrett's knowledge/approval. She did not want that operation to go through because she wants obama to appease the muslim community. Quite honestly she was afraid of a reprisals. You can't be a leader if you are full of fear.

I'm curious how some here feel about the level of intensity with respect to the middle east. I think we've turned a very big corner in the conversation on whether Israel should attack with now the conversation being just about when to attack.

We should start to see intensified strikes within Iran taking down their electrical grid weakening the infrastructure they will need to utilize in responding to an attack.

I also wouldn't be surprised at this stage of the game to see an assasination of a high level person within the military in Iran.
Israel has to show Iran they can operate at will on any target deemed vital to Iran's security.

These are just my thoughts.

Revelation 4:10,11 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Crown Him with many crowns,
the Lamb upon his throne.
Hark! How the heavenly anthem drowns
all music but its own.
Awake, my soul, and sing of Him
Who died for thee,
and hail Him as thy matchless King
through all eternity.

Crown Him the Lord of life,
Who triumphed over the grave,
and rose victorious in the strife
for those He came to save.
His glories now we sing,
Who died, and rose on high,
Who died eternal life to bring,
and lives that death may die.

Crown Him the Lord of love,
behold His hands and side,
those wounds, yet visible above,
in beauty glorified.
No angel in the sky
can fully bear that sight,
but downward bends His burning eye
at mysteries so bright.

Crown Him the Lord of years,
the Potentate of time,
Creator of the rolling spheres,
ineffably sublime.
all hail, Redeemer, hail!
For Thou has died for me;
Thy praise and glory shall not fail
throughout eternity.

James, in agreement with much of what you said.

The level of intensity has been spun up...and IMHO, its due to a little curve ball, a wild card if you will, that Iran introduced to the game.

They started moving the important "stuff" and processes so far underground that even a normal nuclear device wouldn't get to it.

That was a game changer...and I suspect for a lot of TPTB that had such eloquent plans with everything choreographed and timed to coincide on many fronts.

Ohoopsie!

Kind of guessing the pucker factor went exponential on that one.....and hasn't relaxed yet. Even threw a boopsie doodle at the commodities market they didn't expect.

As far as Panetta, I tend to agree except for specifying his ultimate motives. I do consider him a hard core socialist, OWG insider. I like the way he went after OBL, if indeed it was done that day, but have to wonder about the reasons and motives. There is, however, still a whole lot of unanswered questions and allegations all around that one.

Caver- I agree. If we wanted to get rid if Iranian nukes, we would have done it before they buried them so deep.

There was also a time in America that liberals would have had a complete mental breakdown over CIA directors moved to run the Pentagon and field Generals moved to run CIA.

The government is not out of control, we could not be that lucky. They are in control and on a mission.

Pray that we can reach as many as we can with the Gospel before the clock runs out.
