Russia is stepping up pressure on France as Russian security services leaked the names of the first 13 French soldiers who were in Kharkiv at the time of the Russian strike on a temporary deployment site for foreign mercenaries.

According to information, a second list will follow with the details of the remaining French soldiers.

It was January 17, 2023 when the Russian Ministry of Defense officially confirmed that after a precision strike dozens of foreign mercenaries were killed and wounded in the city of Kharkiv, Ukraine.

The Russian military said at the time that most of the victims were French, a fact France categorically denied through statements from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

However, the names of the victims have come to light today, which disproves the French narrative...

“This is an incomplete list of French mercenaries who were in Kharkiv during the strike by the Russian armed forces.

The most important information, whether they are alive or dead, military rank, coke will be known later, as well as other names," points out Anna Novikova, head of the SOS Donbass organization, which claims that the age of the French mercenaries varies between 24 and 49 years.

Based on this information, the relevant list of names with their date of birth is as follows:

Russia: Will ask for explanations from the French National Assembly...

The State Duma, the lower house of the Russian parliament, plans to formally ask the French National Assembly to inform it whether it knows that French mercenaries are fighting alongside the Ukrainians, Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said.

Volodin, an ally of President Vladimir Putin, made the above statement after the Russian Defense Ministry announced on Wednesday that its forces had killed more than 60 foreign mercenaries, mostly French soldiers, in a raid on a Kharkiv building.

France rejected the claims, saying it was helping Ukraine defend its territorial integrity, independence and national sovereignty, but had no mercenaries in Ukraine "unlike some others".

"It is important for us to know if (the French MPs) are aware that someone, in violation of the law, is sending fighters to fight in Ukraine."

We remind you that last Thursday, Russia announced that it summoned the French ambassador to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the allegations of the existence of mercenaries.

Russia's strikes on facilities housing foreign mercenaries in Ukraine will likely "temper the enthusiasm" of foreign soldiers, retired US Lt. Col. Karen Kwiatkowski told Sputnik.

Strikes like the one carried out by Russia in Kharkiv "raise the level of danger for these soldiers and others who are in Ukraine solely for the money ," noted the former US Defense Department analyst.
