Tensions Escalate One More Notch [Updated]

Probably the most inflammatory scenario has come to light and it is somewhat predictable: Syria now begins to cast the blame on Israel. Could this be the beginnings of rationalizing a chemical attack on Israel?

ISRAEL-EGYPT BORDER – The rebel bomb attack that killed Syrian defense officials today was aided by Israel, a top Syrian official claimed to WND.

Israel gave satellite imagery to the rebels who carried out the attack, charged the official, who spoke with WND on condition of anonymity.

The official said President Assad – whose brother-in-law was killed in the bombing along Syria’s defense minister – is debating whether to issue a press release blaming Israel for assisting in the attack.

The Syrian official who spoke to WND admitted the defense minister, Gen. Dawoud Rajha, was the key official behind the installation of Syria’s missile system, which has been aided by Iran.

Syrian state TV said Rajha and President Assad’s brother-in-law, Deputy Defense Minister Gen. Assef Shawkat, were killed in a blast during a high level security meeting in Damascus. Syria’s interior minister also was injured.

Shawkat is married to Assad’s elder sister, Bushra.

Reports called the attack a suicide bombing, but other reports said a device was placed within the building.

“This is the volcano we talked about, we have just started,” he said.

This is a very interesting development. The speculation has been increasing over the past several months that Syria would attack Israel in a last ditch effort to save Assad's government and we're definitely at the end of his reign. Anything can happen now. The fact that Israel is already being blamed could be the writing on the wall for future action, possibly involving the use of chemical weapons. We'll know soon, as the situation is changing on an hourly basis now.

Update:

On top of everything else we have seen today, we now see this:

The supreme leader of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood – and of its president elect Mohammed Morsi – has called for jihad on Israel. The website Jihad Watch cited a report in last Thursday’s Egypt-based Al Wafd newspaper. The report said that, during his weekly sermon, "Muhammad Badi, the Muslim Brotherhood’s Supreme Guide, confirmed the necessity for every Muslim to strive to save al-Quds [Jerusalem] from the hands of the rapists [Israelis] and to cleanse Palestine from the clutches of the occupation, deeming this an individual duty for all Muslims.”

More specifically, the report said, Badi "called on all Muslims to wage jihad with their money and their selves to free al-Quds”—the same exact language one finds in al-Qaeda’s tracts. (...)

  2. I have looked at several Syrian news sources, as of thos moment cannot find any confirmation Bashar Assad was wounded and sent to Latakia.

Bibi said he will not respond imediately to the terror attack given the sensitivity in the region.

Lebanon's Hezbullah leader Nasrallah keeps threatening Israel with a "big surprize" should Israel respond. This may be what's holding back a responce from Israel. I am convinced he has biological and chemical weapons at his desposal and is itching to use them I know that if he does, Ehud Barach has made it clear Lebanon will be destroyed.

Its kind of like those scenes in movies where all the players get up from the card table and each has a gun at each others head, daring the other to pull the trigger.

    Who will be left standing?

    Guess who?

  4. With so much happening at this rapid rate, I have been getting promptings all day for the following messages.

Repent, Repent, For the hour is close at hand.

This will give a chance to those who still are reading this and have not received the wonderful gift of salvation to do so before time runs out.

Alice, I am not sure if you still happen to have that wedding invitation handy to post but that may be something great at a time like this. I can't seem to find mine right now. Could you possibly repost it if you have it? :)

I hope we all can depart soon with old issues resolved, forgiveness granted, repentance of our sins and more. We have time to reconcile things as the time is drawing near.

    God Bless You All!

  5.  Acts 2:38 Peter said to them, "Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 17:30 The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked. But now he commands that all people everywhere should repent,

Ezekiel 14:6 says, "Thus saith the Lord GOD; Repent, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.

Matthew 3:2 "Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!"

Matthew 11:20 Then he began to denounce the cities in which most of his mighty works had been done, because they didn't repent.

Mark 1:15 and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand! Repent, and believe in the Good News."

Luke 13:3 I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all perish in the same way

Luke 15:7 I tell you that even so there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance.

Luke 17:3 Be careful. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him. If he repents, forgive him

Luke 17:4 If he sins against you seven times in the day, and seven times returns, saying,'I repent,' you shall forgive him."

Acts 26:20 but declared first to them of Damascus, at Jerusalem, and throughout all the country of Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, doing works worthy of repentance. a perverse and crooked generation

Revelation 3:3 Remember therefore how you have received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If therefore you won't watch, I will come as a thief, and you won't know what hour I will come upon you.

  7. Well its officially entered the fourth quarter Assad is down 1 with the ball on the 40 yard line and no timeouts left . I'd say he is going to throw the "Hail Mary" but he'll probably throw the "Allahu Akbar". (Its a middleeastern Futbal qoute)I think the next couple of days/weeks are going to be very tense . Pray for Israel . Steven if he lobs missles at Israel you're probably going to be correct about the market . Oil will spike through the roof . The already "fragile world economy" will get a really ugly jolt . Time to buy defense stocks . That coupled with the Israel bus attack in Bulgaria just threw a curveball in developments (Sorry for all the sports analogies :)

The war along the Euphrates is looking more and more like a reality .

    Peace Nate

that is just the plan, all we can
    do is follow it.

  11. GG said “Acts 2:38 Peter said to them, "Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

An important correction for context is required here for these quoted passages.

Interestingly the Term ‘Repent’ was addressed only to the Jews and the Proselytes who were well versed with prophetic Scripture. ‘Repent’ involved the gospel of the kingdom’ that Messiah had arrived, so repent ‘change your mind’ about what the Jewish leaders had taught them to expect, and recognise that Jesus is THE promised Messiah’in light of The Word.

First Messiah would come as a ‘suffering servant’.

Had the Jewish religious leaders accepted Jesus as Messiah, then the good news of the Kingdom would have come to pass which was the 1000 year rule of Messiah on EARTH from Jerusalem, Israel – physical land of –.

After Jesus rejection, His death, burial, resurrection and ascension to heaven, the offer of The Gospel became 'BELIEVE in the Lord Jesus Christ and you WILL be saved...' and the Church was born. e.g the Gentile Philippian Jailer in Acts 16

You see, The Gospel of Salvation through Christ, could not begin until after His substitutionary sacrifice on the cross. His blood shed for the sin of the WHOLE world, Jew AND Gentile, not just Jews. His life for ours, His free gift of righteousness for our un-righteousness. That’s the ‘why’ and ‘how’of the Church.

To call to‘repent’ is now for the believers of the Church, to get back into fellowship with God the Father and avoid disciplinary measures to bring us back confessing (agreeing) that as a saved believer, we have failed in our works. That's Second stage Salvation called ‘Sanctification’.

Sola Fide – Only Believe – the cry from the Reformation; is first stage Salvation, and you will be saved from the penalty of sin which is eternal death. BELIEVE in the Lord Jesus Christ and you WILL be saved...

Third stage Salvation is when we are removed from the presence of sin on earth, and are given our glorified bodies to live with Jesus in the Fathers House in heaven.

  12. I am overwhelmed with how strongly the middle east and the world is aligning against Israel. The call for jihad against Jews in Jerusalem & the attacks that have been happening (yesterday's article) is so dark. There is also the rise in persecution of Christians in many nations. I wonder how God can hold back to wait for His perfect timing. I'm praying for the children of God for His mercy and grace to sustain them, for each to know His peace and presence with them. Isaiah 41:10 "fear not, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am God; I will strengthen you, I wil help you, I will uphold you in my righteous (victorious) right hand."

Maranatha! All praise to our great God for His love endures forever!

  13. Anon-

I know my friend you have been tic..tic.tic'ng for days. As much as you think it's a matter of dividing as the hour draws near, we must turn away from this strife and put these energies to whom...God, Jesus, the HS and all that he stands for.

We are on the same team and are to be helping others, this is about the Author of our lives, not the mere semantics created by other AUTHORS alike. So, please stop adding confusion where none is needed.

God said it, I believe it. There are many things we all need to be focusing on in these last hours and fighting with each other is not on the list. Go in peace and share the good news with the lost. Step out, away from here all of us..and help save a life. These outstanding issues you may have will be dealt with together in front of our Father soon enough, my friend. Just think, we will be living TOGETHER 4 EVER and with such new mindsets, that all of this disagreeing will seem foolish.

    God Bless!!

  14. Anon, I meant to add...it is never to late to repent. We must stop and look at all these people who's lives we touch daily. Have we wrong others? Have we said or done soe thing we need to cleanse ourselves from and seek forgiveness and to turn away from? See it's greater than one statement and I am sure we all have many areas we need to clean up right now, especially to keep our blessings from being blocked. :)

Wishing you a great day, sincerely have a great day!!

  15. Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him.
He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, [our] faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.
Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace [was] upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth.
He was taken from prison and from judgment, And who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from the land of the And they [fn] made His grave with the wicked--But with the rich at His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was any deceit in His mouth.
Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him; He has put [Him] to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see [His] seed, He shall prolong [His] days, And the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His hand.
He shall see the labor of His soul, [fn] [and] be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, For He shall bear their iniquities.
Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, And He shall divide the spoil with the strong, Because He poured out His soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And He bore the sin of many, And made intercession for the transgressors.

I realise your intentions are honourable; but this correction is not about you, rather the truth of the Gospel.

I believe you when you say you have been ‘quickened’ about ‘repentance’. From my understanding, as an old believer, is to first discover if The Lord is speaking to us personally, as I suspect is the case here as I recognise it from my own walk with Jesus.

I know nothing about you, so I accuse you of nothing – but I am certain you are being led to ask The Lord to ‘search your heart’. There is something hindering your walk with the Father, and He wants you to come to personal repentance. It is no business of mine what that may be.

The Good News of Eternal Life through Jesus Christ has nothing to do with repentance. There is vitally – only ONE condition given to obtain Salvation and that is to BELIEVE in Jesus to save.
When a Jew or Gentile knows nothing about God’s free gift of Salvation, knows nothing about the Messianic Prophecies – then what does he/she have to ‘repent’ over? Repent meaning ‘to ‘think again’. How does one ‘rethink’ something they have no knowledge of?
Repent is frequently defined as ‘turning from sin’. Not only is this a false gospel (another gospel) turning from sin is NOT a condition for Salvation so to repent WILL NOT SAVE. Sin is no longer an issue. Jesus died for the sin of the whole world, all that is NOW required is ‘to believe’ which is FAITH in Christ. Pistis means faith/believe/trust. Salvation comes through the Pistis package of Knowledge, Assent, Assurance, Trust. No sinner is capable of repenting from sin. Read Romans 3:9-18

All who end up in the lake of fire, will not be there because of sin, or lack of repentance, which has been paid for by Christ’s Blood ONCE shed for the sin of the world. It will be because they refuse to BELIEVE and so be saved. John 3:18 "He who BELIEVES in Him is not condemned; but he who does not BELIEVE is condemned already, because he has not BELIEVED in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

1Cor.15:1Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand,
2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you--unless you believed in vain.
3.For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
    4. and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,

Sola Fide – the realisation that awakened Luther to recognise that all the works of Rome were anathema. Salvation comes by Faith alone
Eph 2: For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

NO works, and that includes repentance.

  17. Hmmmm-boy sticky stuff here! So try this premise. Each of us is influenced by our background, the doctrine we have been taught, even the type of bible we use, King James, NIV etc. None of that matters! Nope, not a lick!
Believing that Yeshua is the son of God and died for our sins is probably the minimum requirement along with rose from the dead. We can agree on more and disagree on more but what a waste of time currently! Its hard enough to get the lost to even see that much nowadays!
There are entire websites devoted to the discussion and arguing of scripture!!!!! This IS NOT one. This one is for watching for signs of Jesus's soon return and fellowship of believers. I think the fellowship was sort of a side effect of so many hungry believers gathered in one spot!
I really dont care if people discuss scripture, thats good. And helping another believer to answer a question. Thats awesome! But GG was just expressing something she felt rhe Lord laid on her heart. That message could be for one specific person and no one else. we don't know.
too much going on right now in the world of the watching to deal with doctrinal stuff, at least for me. I'm trying to get right with God, and work on my walk. Some of us on this site are old pro's and some brand new babes in Christ and every level inbetween, so just chill guys please! Really does it matter? The salvation is free! What you do with it after is between you and God!!!
Love you all! You guys can discuss it for the next 1000 years (lol, did ya catch the little joke there?) I hope so!
Whoop whoop, Maranatha! Anyword on WV yet?
