Loss Of Freedom: The Stage Is Set For Massive, Draconian Persecution In America

The title could have been "The Loss Of Freedom In What Once Was America" because the foundations of this country have now been completely eroded. The article below described in more detail the recently passed bill S.1867 and this bill has enormous implications for America yet it is barely covered by the MSM.

This bill, beyond any other measure passed in America will do more to erode freedom and will do more to enhance persecution than any other bill ever passed.

Because of this bill, we, as citizens of this country have basically lost all legal rights that we ever had and have now lost the right to legal representation and any idea of a fair trial. In fact, "conviction" will be a thing of the past, as any previous legal process that we are familiar with is gone.

Any measure can be taken against any American citizen by the government without any due process. Period. Exactly what you would have expected in communist China or the old Soviet Union. It is here and it is here now.

For instance, in the future, the president or congress could declare that Christians are, by definition enemies of the state and as a result would then subsequently be rounded up and taken away, never to be seen again. No courts, no lawyers, no trial etc. Detention camps would be the order of the day.

This is no longer theoretical. It is here now. This predicted day has arrived.

This article is a must read:

The ENtire United States Is Now A War Zone: S.1867 Passes The Senate With Massive Support

This is one of the most tragic events I have written about since establishing End the Lie over eight months ago: the horrendous bill that would turn all of America into a battlefield and subject American citizens to indefinite military detention without charge or trial has passed the Senate.

S.1867, or the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for the fiscal year of 2012, passed with a resounding 93-7 vote.

Senator Levin disclosed and Dave Kopel reported that, “it was the Obama administration which told Congress to remove the language in the original bill which exempted American citizens and lawful residents from the detention power”.

And we know this will be used arbitrarily against American Citizens. The proof lies in the facts:

As I have detailed in two past articles entitled Do not be deceived: S.1867 is the most dangerous bill since the PATRIOT Act and S.1253 will allow indefinite military detention of American civilians without charge or trial, the assurances that this will not be used on American citizens are hollow, evidenced by the fact that the Feinstein amendment to S.1867, amendment number 1126, which, according to the official Senate Democrats page, was an attempt at “prohibiting military authority to indefinitely detain US citizens” was rejected with a 45-55 vote.

That's right. The amendment which would have protected American citizens from this bill was rejected. Period.

Additionally, just a little reflection reveals the current mind-set of the government and who will be in the crosshairs in the near future. This should send chills up the spind of any American with functioning brain cells:

1) The Department of Defense actually put a question on an examination saying that protests are an act of “low-level terrorism” (which they later deleted after the ACLU sent a letter demanding it be removed).

2) Anti-war activists and websites are deemed worthy of being treated as terrorists and being listed on terrorist watchlists.

3) We likely will never even be told how exactly the government is interpreting S.1867.

In the case of the PATRIOT Act (which is overwhelmingly used in cases that are unrelated to terrorism in every way), there is in fact a secret interpretation of the PATRIOT Act, as revealed by Senator Ron Wyden back in May.

[Section] 1031, the statement of authority to detain does apply to American citizens, and it designates the world as the battlefield including the homeland.”

And as usual, the MSM has received their marching orders and is in lockstep with the government:

The fact that the establishment media continues to peddle the blatant lie that is the claim that S.1867 will not be used on American citizens is beyond me.

The fact that the corporate-controlled establishment media is barely covering this – if at all – is just another piece amongst the mountains of evidence showing that they are complicit in the criminal conspiracy that is dominating our government.

As evidenced by the case of Anwar al-Awlaki, no trial is needed for our illegitimate government to assassinate an American citizen.

We can only assume that it is just a matter of time until American citizens are declared to be supporting al Qaeda and killed on American soil without so much as a single court hearing.

“Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Carl Levin, D-Mich., repeatedly pointed out that the June 2004 Supreme Court decision in Hamdi v. Rumsfeld said U.S. citizens can be detained indefinitely.”

ACLU Christopher Anders who said, “Since the bill puts military detention authority on steroids and makes it permanent, American citizens and others are at greater risk of being locked away by the military without charge.

They are turning the United States into such a hellish police state that the world’s most infamous dictators would be green with envy.

Freedoms lost:

These Senators are not only defying their oath of office in waging war on the Constitution, they are also fighting to destroy the most critical rights we have in this country and in doing so are desecrating everything that our forefathers gave up their lives for.

Instead of British troops patrolling the streets in their red coats, it will be American soldiers who have the authority to detain you forever without a shred of evidence if they decide you’re a terrorist or supporting any organization affiliated with al Qaeda.

How they define that is anyone’s guess, but given that the entire interpretation of the PATRIOT Act is regarded as a state secret, we can assume that we will never even get to know.

You see, that is the crux of the matter. "They" (aka "the government") get to determine who is a terrorist threat using any definitions that they choose.

How hard is it to envision a future scenario in which Christians are considered as a "terrorist threat" based on biblical beliefs?

Wouldn't refusal to take the "Mark of the Beast" be considered as a "terrorist act" in the Tribulation era? Absolutely.

Is that really a stretch?

Moreover, the fact that no charges or trial are needed under S.1867, the government needs no proof of supporting, planning, or committing terrorism whatsoever.

Since no evidence will ever be presented given that no trial or charges will ever be filed, they need not worry about that pesky thing called habeus corpus or anything resembling evidence of any kind.

All they need to do is declare that you’re an enemy combatant and suddenly you’re eligible to be snatched up by military thugs and locked away never to see the light of day again.

As far as I have seen, there are no detailed requirements set forth in the bill which have to be met before the military can indefinitely detain, and torture (or conduct “enhanced interrogation” if you’d prefer the government’s semantic work-around), Americans and people around the world.

What is stopping them from manufacturing any flimsy piece of evidence they can point to, even though they never actually have to present it or have it questioned in a court of law, in order to round up American dissidents?

You see, that's the key. Since there is no formal court hearing - no "public" declaration of these arrests etc - people will simply...Disappear. No courts, no lawyers, no hearings, no public information. Just as in any good communist regime - people will vanish, never to be seen again. End of story.

The U.S. government now has all power over individuals. Period.

The grim answer to these disturbing questions is: nothing. I regret having to say such a disheartening thing about the United States of America, a country I once thought was the freest nation in the world, but it is true.

I must emphasize once again that our government considers even ideology and protest to be a low level act of terrorism, so if you’re anti-war, pro-peace, pro-human rights, pro-justice, anti-corruption, or even worse, if you’re like me and expose the criminal government in Washington that supports terrorism while criminalizing American citizens, you very well might be labeled a terrorist.

Indeed.

I do not hesitate in saying that what our so-called representatives have done is an act of treason that represents the single most dangerous move ever made by our government.

Every single square inch of the United States is now a war zone and you or I could easily be declared soldiers on the wrong side of the war and treated as such.

No proof, no charges, and no trial are required.

America: Preparing for the Tribulation. And doing a great job with that.

    Purgatory.

Purgatory is neither heaven nor hell, but ‘a place where souls suffer for a time after death on account of their sins’ (Catechism, Article 106). It was defined as a dogma at the Council of Florence in 1439.

It is said to be as bad as hell, but you are only there for a limited time, not for eternity. But in the Bible the only places mentioned where we go after death are heaven and hell. Those who are saved in this life by trusting in the Lord Jesus to forgive their sins need no further suffering to refine them and prepare them for heaven. Jesus told the dying thief on the cross, ‘Today you will be with Me in Paradise.’ Luke 23.43.

Revelation 21 describes both heaven and hell as places where people go after they die, but makes no mention of purgatory. Nor does any other passage in the Bible. Belief in purgatory has been used to persuade people to give money to the R.C. church in order to gain relief from time in purgatory.

  2. Ecumenism means joining with Rome.

    Where is this heading?

Most Christians are ignorant of the errors of Catholic doctrine and not really bothered about them either. They say, ‘Let’s get together to save the world and not worry about what we actually believe and teach.’ But the Bible shows us that it does matter what we believe and that only the Lord Jesus coming again in power and glory can save the world. Therefore we should be true to Him even if we are a minority in society and in the professing church.

In the last days there will be a one world religious system which will be allied to the one world government of antichrist but will eventually be destroyed by him (Revelation 17).

As we see the growing apostasy of the visible churches, the Lord is calling for a faithful remnant who will ‘contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints’ (Jude 3) which is given to us in the New Testament by the Apostles. As we get nearer to the Lord’s return we should expect to see a growing hostility to this remnant by both secular and religious powers.

Examples of this happening are shown in an article by Roger Oakland entitled ‘Evangelicals and Catholics Together and the Rejection of End-Time Christians’. One example of this is Bishop Mark Hanson of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. He called for ‘Catholics, Eastern Orthodox, Anglican and Lutheran churches to come together to combat a fundamentalist reading of Scripture’ and create a ‘ministry of reconciliation,’ that will ‘result of Christ breaking down the dividing walls reconciling the whole creation to God’s self.’ Hanson says that those who believe in a biblical end times and a literal Bible interpretation are counterproductive to and holding back the cause of Christ, which he suggests is to unite all of creation and produce a planetary utopia.

On the other hand Sir Isaac Newton, the famous scientist who lived from 1643 – 1727, was a Bible believing Christian. He wrote ‘About the time of the end, a body of men will be raised up who will turn their attention to the Prophecies and insist upon their literal interpretation in the midst of much clamour and opposition’.

As the world heads for disaster many people are going to be looking for an answer which makes sense. This answer will not be to join up with the false church of Rome or the liberal ecumenical movement, but to ‘repent and believe the Gospel for the Kingdom of God is at hand.’

In the end the centre of the faith in the Lord will not be Canterbury or Rome, but Jerusalem, when the Messiah returns to stand on the Mount of Olives and set up the Millennial Kingdom. He will reign from restored Jerusalem and bring real peace to the world. ‘For out of Zion will go forth the Law and the Word of the Lord from Jerusalem. He shall judge between the nations and rebuke many people. They shall beat their swords into ploughshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.’ Isaiah 2.3-4.

  3. Wow Scott, this would be even more depressing regarding bill s. 1867 if I were not convinced we are going home soon. Hopefully we won't be seeing our Pastors arrested before we depart. This is a very sad day for America and nary a peep from the MSM. In fact I don't recall Sean Hannity or Rush railing against this evil bill either. Sigh...

  4. The media is going to spend their time reporting on Cain. Salon.com had an article last month detailing how Christians are dangerous because we see God's law being above those of the government.

Remember, the Patriot Act was drafted in 1999 on the pretense that it would be needed IF something bad happens. This bill is meant to be used.

Remember, we as Christians are promised persecution from man, but spared wrath from God. We might see this law used.

  6. Scott: Calling them so-called Representatives is being too kind to them. Traitors is more like it because they have betrayed our country. It's a matter of when, not if this law will be used. They sell us out to consolidate their power; and yet some call themselves christians;and sing God Bless America. Well we can sing God Bless America til we're blue in the face; but if America doesn't start to bless God, we're just wasting our breath. Hold on to your hats. Nazi Germany is coming to our soil. Thanks be to God, He's provided an escape route through the shed blood of his Son.

  7. 2 questions, 1 related 1 unrelated. 1st question, doesn't it seem likely that at the next election the American people will throw these bums outta office? i doubt anything will come of this bill before the rapture....but then once the rapture occurs christians will be blamed and an even worsr bill will be in full force. what do you (scott and whoever reads this) think?
    2nd question

    ReplyDelete
  8. 2nd question .. .some say before the rapture there will be a mighty outpouring of the holy spirit and a major revival. they say God will raise up a mighty army who will preach the gospel. others say no...the revival occurs after the rapture during the early part of the tribulation. which is it? (Again this is addressed to scott or whoever reads this)

  9. Hello Hartdawg

I do hope your back is improved!

I don't have the energy of a gnat to search the Scriptures tonight, so my answer is a short 'NO' to an end time revival; there is to be a falling away before the Trib.which we are seeing now.
As soon as the Trib starts there is a huge death toll on new believers in Revelation. For that to happen after the Rapture, can only mean a huge turning to Jesus by - I hope - the Muslims who will be freed from the power Islam has over them re. Ezek.

Just before the Trib starts, and probably after the Rapture imo; Elijah will come for Israel to begin the 'turn' back to God. Then there is the 144,000 as well as the Gospel angel preaching.

That's the best I can do for now.
    God bless you

As far as the first question - I am beginning to believe that all things related to the Tribulation (IOW, the things that we will know will happen during the Tribulation) - are progressive in nature. In fact, that is one thing that has surprised me....

I had always assumed that the AC would take over and then immediately implement al of these kinds of measures....Rather, however, we are seeing the steps leading into his rule.

Given that, it wouldn't surprise me one bit to actually see the early stages of these measures taken....Perhaps not as extreme as seeing Pastors "taken away" but more like seeing the infrastructure built which will be used to persecute....Perhaps we will see the monitoring take effect - the warnings (warnings of not speaking out against the gov't, monitoring of websites and blogs, monitoring of any protesters etc - which has actually already started.

And we could even see the early stages of overt persecution - the 'easy' cases (more acceptable to most of 'society' - such as pastors outspoken against homosexuality, radical Islam, etc....and indeed, we are already seeing this around the world)...This could get worse.

  11. Hi Hartdawg. I echo Miss Sue's welcome back and hope for your back. I also agree that I see no prediction of things getting anything but worse until the Trib. Blindness and "love of self" reign supreme.

I really question if there will be elections. If there are, I suspect it won't make a hill of beans difference. Its the same folk behind the strings and they can rule from either the right or left.

If it did make a difference, the Republicans would have not voted this bill into law. They knew what was in there, they defeated the amendments to change it....we really don't know these folk that govern us. They are NOT on our side.

    ReplyDelete
  12. As far as the election - to be perfectly and painfully honest......I don't see the white house being taken by a strong conservative (and I don't include NG in that category, as I believe he is a globalist)

I believe one of three things will happen:

    1. We'll see Obama reelected under 'suspicious' circumstances...Sorta like Al Franklin, or Harry Reid (yes, Harry Reid....He was behind by 2-3% the night before the election and won by a similar %...That is unprecedented in elections. )...There were MANY stories of people attempting to vote a straight Repub ticket in Nevada, and 'mysteriously', the screen would indicate a straight democratic vote by the individual...Multiple complaints were lodged, to no avail...There is NO WAY he was elected fairly.

    2. We'll elect a Republican "globalist" such as Romney or Gingrich, and they will simply continue the globalist agenda....

    3. We'll see some kind of martial law, due to a false terrorist act or something similar and elections will be suspended, or some atypical form of elections which will allow Obama to stay in office.

  14. The end of Posse Comatatus. Never thought I'd see the day Tom Coburn and Paul Rand would be on the same side as former Democrat, now Socialist, Bernie Sanders.

Both my senators voted for it . . .as did Jim Inhofe and Joe Lieberman. What on earth were they thinking?

I agree with you, Scott and lean closest to the election being suspended. That's been my concern since early last spring and it was strengthened when Governor Perdue of North Carolina suggested we suspend the election so Capitol Hill can focus on the economy.

Thing is, I strongly feel, only an act of God could change the course we're currently on. What we're facing will be much worse than the Great Depression of the thirties. Not necessarily worse economically speaking, though that's a possibility . . .but worse because the American people are the same today they were back then. Then we had Rosie the Riveter rolling up her sleeves and working where needed. Americans stood shoulder to shoulder and we were all pull up by the bootstraps and the nation made stronger because of it. Today . . .we have the complete opposite. An entitlement mindset that's growing in numbers daily.

But then, we know America has no role to play in the Tribulation. Complete collapse would certainly fall into that scenario. We'd be so consumed with surviving from starvation and hyperinflation . . .to being beaten over the head in our sleep by rioting masses when the government checks stop coming in. Thank God for the Rapture . . .but my heart absolutely breaks for those left to pick up the mess in its wake.

  20. Hartdawg . . .i would never have expected to see the patriot bill passed, but it did. Thing is, like Scott pointed out recently, drastic times call for drastic measures. A lot can happen between now and next November. In time of national distress, say, from an ElectoMagnetic Pulse attack, plans are already in place to call for Marshall Law. The nation would be divided into regions with already appointed governors of certain states to be in charge. The nation would be I such a flu ex, people would be begging for drastic measures.

Take a look at Germany. Following WWI, inflation skyrocketed into hyperinflation . . . .was so bad, it took an entire wheelbarrow of marks to buy a loaf of bread. The Germans were willing to accept ANYTHING to rescue them from such dire straights . . . In walked Hitler.

The only REAL fact we know is that the US isn't mentioned at all in Bible Prophecy. Either we're diminished to insignificance, or fall into the ocean or something. We KNOW everything else ipwill come to pass . . .so very soon, something must happen to America. The WHAT is what we don't know, but none of the scenarios will be pleasant.

  21. DrWho . . .the American Spectator did an interesting story a couple of years ago:

    http://spectator.org/archives/2011/11/22/ron-pauls-submissive-side

That makes a strong case for Paul's foreign policy closely resembling Obama's. But more than that, it strikes me as being antisemitic.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Robin- Obama uses your money to kill babies overseas through abortion and bombings. Ron Paul delivers babies. There is no comparison between the two.

The US gives Israel's enemies $7 for every $1 we give Israel, that is anti-semitism.

GW Bush did close our bases in Saudi Arabia after 9/11 and moved the forces to Bahrain so as to not irritate the ME.

Reagan did not meet with Yuri Andropov and the other Soviet leaders mentioned in the article becuase he was not President at their time.

There is nothing pro-semetic or pro-Christian in killing US citizens without trial and building a Caliphate in the ME.

No one is perfect but Ron Paul's policies are more Christlike than the other choices from both parties. IMHO. :-)
