This was just all too predictable:

Expert: Egypt Election Results Are A Nightmare Come True

This first paragraph says it all:

Israel's worst fears regarding its relationship with the Arab world – and with Egypt in particular - are coming true before its eyes, Middle East expert Dr. David Buk'i told Arutz 7 in an interview Saturday night. “The rise of the Islamists in Egypt means the end of the peace treaty with Egypt and the rise of a government committed to the ideological Islamist goal of the destruction of the State of Israel,” Buk'i said.

This one isn't much better:

With results in from the first round of voting in Egypt, it's clear that the Islamist coalition has emerged as the largest faction in the future Egyptian government, by far. The Muslim Brotherhood captured more than 40% of the vote, but the hardline Islamist Salafist Nour Party garnered some 20% of the vote – placing the Islamist coalition firmly in control of Egypt's parliament, at least until the second round of voting in several weeks.

Many of us saw this coming:

Buk'i is not surprised at the results, and in fact, he says, he warned months ago that this was exactly what would happen. “It was already clear to me last February that the uprisings in the Arab world were not an 'Arab spring,' but rather a bitter 'Arab winter' and a return to chaos and violence.

And it's all lining up exactly as we would expect according to biblical prophecy:

And once Islamism is firmly planted, it spreads quickly, says Buk'i. “The foolish West helped Al-Qaeda win in Libya, and Al-Qaeda now controls Tunisia. And it is spreading to other nations. There are two powers in the Arab world – military dictatorships and Islamism, and it is in the interests of the West to side with the dictatorships. Tragedy and catastrophe ensue when Islamists win,” he added. “Israel is seeing the catastrophe unfold now.”

Meanwhile, with the vice tightening around Israel, how does the U.S. react?

With his boss, U.S. President Barack H. Obama, doing poorly in the polls less than a year before the 2012 election, U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta lashed out at Israel Friday, demanding that Israel “just get to the damn table” and negotiate with the PA.

Apparently our 'leadership' in America isn't familiar with God's warning, as related to Israel - as found in Genesis 12:3.

In response to Panetta's comments, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's spokesperson Mark Regev said Saturday night that it was the PA leadership that was responsible for the stalled negotiations. Israel, he said, was ready at any time for the resumption of negotiations without preconditions, but that the PA “is playing a diplomatic game to hide their stance, which is to boycott Israel and to refuse to negotiate.”

And as usual, everything Israel has done thus far is conveniently ignored, as is the PA's refusal to negotiate a peace plan (remember the "Palestinians" refuse to accept Israel's right to exist):

Panetta did not discuss previous Israeli "gestures" such as last year's ten month freeze on building in Judea and Samaria - implemented specifically to encourage the PA to return to talks with Israel, but apparently insufficient a concession to bring those talks about.

In his speech, Panetta urged Israel not to act alone against Iran, and that military action was not the preferred way to deal with Iran's nuclear program. "You always have the last resort ... of military action. But it must be the last resort, not the first," he said.

In other words, lets allow Iran to continue with their nuclear ambitions, all while publicly stating that Israel must be destroyed. This must be easier when you are not directly in Iran's crosshairs.

And this. Who is the biggest loser with the inevitable Muslim Brotherhood win in Egypt?

Israel is the biggest loser from the strong showing of the Muslim Brotherhood in the Egyptian parliamentary election, Hamed Bitawi, a top Hamas representative in the West Bank, said Saturday.

The Muslim Brotherhood triumph in Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco elections comes on the eve of preparations for celebrations marking the 24th anniversary of Hamas's founding in the Gaza Strip.

Hamas supporters said that the rise of their political allies to power in the Arab world was "the biggest birthday gift for Hamas" on the anniversary of its establishment.

And right on schedule, and highly predictably - we see that any peace that previously existed between Israel and Egypt is officially over:

Bitwai praised the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood for stating that they were in favor of reconsidering the peace trey between Egypt and Israel.

The Quds Press news agency quoted Bitawi as also hailing the Muslim Brotherhood's stance against the blockade on the Gaza Strip.

"Israel is the biggest loser in these elections," he added.

The new military regime in Cairo has been more friendly toward Hamas. The Rafah terminal has been reopened and Hamas prisoners have been released from Egyptian prisons.

Moreover, Hamas leaders have since been welcome in Egypt as VIP guests

"With the victory of the Muslim Brotherhood, Egypt will return to its original role of fully supporting the Palestinian cause," Abu Marzouk said. "This serves the interests of Hamas and the Palestinians."

This was predictable several months ago - even at the start of the so-called "uprising" because it is entirely consistent with biblical prophecy.

We didn't really expect to see Egypt turn into a "pro-west", "free democracy" did we?

Instead, and predictably, we are seeing Iran's influence in Egyptian affairs and paralleling this, we see an increase in anti-Israeli rhetoric.
