In the first we have a few video clips of Israeli PM Netanyahu's speech:
Netanyahu Slams UN
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a rousing and passionate speech to the U.N. General Assembly on Friday.
“Palestinians want a state without peace,” Netanyahu said, sporting his normally-relaxed and engaging posture. “You should not let that happen.”
Below we have included some of the best moments from “Bibby’s” speech.
On why everyone should have walked out of Ahmadinejad’s speech:
And this from DEBKA:
Palestinian and Israeli Leaders Cross Swords as ME Quartet bids for new talks
In their speeches to the UN General Assembly Friday, Sept. 23, Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas agreed only on the importance of reviving peace talks.
Otherwise they were daggers drawn.
But first, the Palestinian leader submitted to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon a formal request for Palestinian membership in the name of "President of the State of Palestinian and head of the PLO."
The speeches the two leaders delivered conveyed the impression of unbridgeable differences and animosity.
First, we had to endure the usual lies and distortions by Abbas:
Abbas, who spoke first, issued a stream of anti-Israel venom and distortions of Palestinian-Israel history from 1948 up to the present, omitting key chapters like the two years of suicidal terror led by Yasser Arafat whom Abbas depicted as a hero.
Israeli was portrayed as a ruthless occupation force, guilty of terrorism, suppression, theft of Palestinian land and water and the destruction of the infrastructures for their state.
The Palestinian leader held Israel and its "apartheid settlements" wholely responsible for the failure of every past peace effort and its settlements the core of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. In his black-and-what presentation of the conflict, Israelis were the villains and the Palestinians their helpless victims.
Abbas demanded a halt to all settlement activity, trotting out the routine Palestinian propaganda about thousands of deaths and hardships meted out by the savage Israeli occupiers.
For talks to take place, he said, Israel must accept the Palestinian right to all the lands it captured in 1967 on the West Bank and Jerusalem.
For his part, Abbas said he would never recognize Israel as a Jewish state.
Theater of the absurd indeed. And the world seems to accept this. We have the PA leader publicly admitting that he would never recognize Israel's right to exist as a Jewish state, and yet somehow he is painted by the world as the peacemaker. Really?
Welcome to life in bizarro world. The world we find as we approach the Tribulation.
Oh, and while he (Abbas) is at it - Israel must also return to indefensible borders.
And Israel is the country who refuses to make peace? Really? Unbelievable.
Yet, it is a guarantee that the MSM will fail to recognize or mention these inconvenient facts, despite the public announcements available to everyone.
They will remain as they have been in the past - ignored.
Netanyahu outlined the historic Jewish ties to the Land of Israel to explain why it was so important for the Palestinians to accept the Jews' historical ties to their land, which they have consistently refused to do. In fact, Palestinian leaders have declared that their state would never accept any Jewish presence.
Netanyahu said because Israel was so small, peace must be anchored in security. Refusing to recognize this truth, the Palestinians resolved to seek a state rather than peace.
And at the risk of stating the obvious:
In peace negotiations, Israel would seek defensible borders and a long-term military presence in a demilitarized Palestinian, said the prime minister – especially after the experience of the uprooting of settlements and disengagement from the Gaza Strip resulted in years of missile attacks on southern Israel.
Oh yea, another fact that is conveniently ignored. Israel made an enormous gesture towards peace when they forcibly uprooted thousands of Jewish homeowners, business owners, farms, etc and handed over that land to the "PA" - and have been ''rewarded with constant missile attacks.
Another inconvenient fact, which, for some reason seems ignored by the MSM.
Now we will see what happens next in the epicenter.
"Theater of the absurd..."
ReplyDeleteIf that expressions doesn't fit the UN to a T, I don't know what does! I love it!
Agreed!
ReplyDeleteBut I remember, even BEFORE I accepted Jesus, back in Oct 1973,
ReplyDeletewhen Israel got attacked AND the
Arabs lost, ISRAEL WON that
Yom Kippur war, and then the
Arabs took it out on the West, with
a HUGE oil embargo.
Scott, do you remember that ??
But this is how they are, this is
what they are, they hate Jews
for whatever reason.
They do NOT really want peace,
it's true...

What an awesome speech! I read the comments on an article about how Bibi slammed the UN, and one gals comments was so true!:
ReplyDelete"I love this man. He is an Israeli Ronald Reagan/Winston Churchill. The only truly great leader in the world today!"
Bibi is a courageous and amazing leader. Heres just another example of his true comments:
“Better a bad press then a good eulogy and better still would be a fair press who’s sense of history extends beyond breakfast”.
Bibi knows all about the darkness of the UN:
"And yet even here in the General Assembly, the truth can sometimes break through. In 1984 when I was appointed Israel's ambassador to the United Nations, I visited the great rabbi of Lubavich. He said to me - and ladies and gentlemen, I don't want any of you to be offended because from personal experience of serving here, I know there are many honorable men and women, many capable and decent people, serving their nations here - But here's what the rebbe said to me. He said to me, you'll be serving in a house of many lies. And then he said, remember that even in the darkest place, the light of a single candle can be seen far and wide."
God Truly has raised Bibi up for such a time as this...in all of time. The comment that just resonated with my Spirit the most, was the following:
"In my office in Jerusalem, there's an ancient seal. It's a signet ring of a Jewish official from the time of the Bible. The seal was found right next to the Western Wall, and it dates back 2,700 years, to the time of King Hezekiah. Now, there's a name of the Jewish official inscribed on the ring in Hebrew. His name was Netanyahu. That's my last name. My first name, Benjamin, dates back a thousand years earlier to Benjamin - Binyamin - the son of Jacob, who was also known as Israel. Jacob and his 12 sons roamed these same hills of Judea and Samaria 4,000 years ago, and there's been a continuous Jewish presence in the land ever since."
WOW!
God Bless!
