Japan Hit by 6.2 Magnitude Quake


Japan earthquake latest as island hit by 6.2 magnitude tremor



Japan has been rocked by a 6.2 magnitude earthquake off its western coast. 

The tremor struck on the west coast of Honshu on Tuesday, at a depth of five miles (8km), the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre said.No tsunami warning was issued, Japanese public broadcaster NHK reported.

There were no immediate reports of damage, as per the outlet.

Rail firm JR West have announced that bullet trains between Toyama and Kanazawa on the Hokuriku Shinkansen line have been suspended due to the quake.
