The Ukrainian Army spent a nightmarish 24 hours with Russia launching after a long time a combined air attack with drones, FAB 1,500 bombs, hypersonic Kinzhal, ballistic Iskander at a considerable depth inside Ukraine.
The Russian Air Force hit the airfields in Vasilkov and Mirgorod, targets in Odessa, Pavlograd, Sumy, Dnepropetrovsk, Poltava, Vinnytsia while Kiev was massively attacked.
In the Poltava region an Iskander missile hit the Ukrainian military airfield Mirgorod. A Ukrainian Air Force Su-27 fighter was destroyed and at least two other Ukrainian aircraft were damaged by debris.
Also destroyed were two gun emplacements, a 5N63-1/5N66M radar, the command center along with the S-300 crew.
The Russian attack began with drones. At 2:30 am local time, 4 Tu-95 bombers fired cruise missiles, while supersonic Kinzhal launches from MiG-31s were also recorded.
The missile attack lasted about an hour and a half, and the Geran kamikaze drones flew in waves.
"After a missile attack, a fire broke out in an industrial facility. Firefighting units with 247 people and rescuers from the city of Kyiv and Ukrzaliznytsia were rushed," the Ukrainian authorities say.
Explosions occurred at several military facilities in Odessa. One of the targets attacked was a transport hub through which arms and ammunition supplies from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization countries pass.
In Dnepropetrovsk, Russian "Geran" drones attacked Ukrainian Forces installations in Pavlograd, through which Ukrainian military supplies go to Pokrovsk.
