General Sergei Shoigu, an ally of Russian leader Vladimir Putin, has chillingly declared that Russia will "increase the intensity of attacks" on British and allied weapons supplied to Ukraine.

The general, who has been at the helm of one of Russia's most brutal conflicts since the unlawful invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, has seen his forces make some headway in the vast eastern front as tanks capitalise on the firmer ground provided by the warmer weather.

In a bold move against NATO and global stability, both the US and UK have recently committed billions more in support and aid for the Ukrainian war effort.

Kremlin Defence Minister Shoigu has now issued a threat to target Western-supplied weaponry in Ukraine, claiming Russian progress had "dispelled the myth of the superiority of Western weapons," reports the Express. His words were stark: "We will increase the intensity of attacks on logistics centres and storage bases for Western weapons.

He further vowed: "In proportion to the threats posed by the United States and its allies, we will continue to improve the composition and structure of the Armed Forces and increase the production of the most popular weapons and military equipment."
